I went to The Prior Lake Shell station. I was driving my cargo van with attached trailer. No where…read moreto park but take up some parking lot and 1 pump space. I had 2 propane tanks filled. The cashier charged me $40.01. After running my card the cashier said I owed another $23.34 because he didn't charge enough for the propane. Little annoyed but I assume it was a honest mistake. I certainly don't know how much 60Lbs of propane cost but I need it. I loaded the propane in my van and hopped in my van, started it and put it in gear. The owner of the Shell station blocked me from exiting. I put the van back into park and rolled down my window to ask what's wrong. He said that I was blocking one of the pump spaces. I asked him if he had a better solution for my parking. We could booth clearly see there was no space for my van/trailer. He told me to park next door at the real estate office. Very puzzled I told him I'm his customer and just bought $60.00 of propane. He said he appreciate that but don't park in front of pumps. I hope for an apology. Hard to avoid the only propane filling station in town. R.Rettmann

My advice is doooo nooooot take your car here. My experience with Tom today was the most appalling…read moresituation I have encountered in a loooong time. I have been going here for 11 years for oil changes, brakes and roters, etc. That doesn't matter to him. He'll treat you awfully whether it's 40 years or your first visit. Have recommended many others to come as well, even though there have been many issues. Today was the last straw. I consider myself a very patient and receptive person so I was shocked. Yesterday, I had my oil changed and some other minor work done. This morning, when I started the car, the check emmissions light came on. I called Tom to see if he could take a look at it, all I said was "Hi I had my oil changed and this other work done yesterday and this light came on would you have some time to see what it might be?" He immeeeeediately laid into how it was nothing they did, getting very hightened, but said he would take a look at it. SO uncomfortable. I said I'd call him back. I called him back, asked if I could come in the next day, and he just immediately starts going back into how he is positive it is something that is just wrong with my car, 1000% could NOT have been anything related. I was not saying it WAS related, but it is very assuming to off the bat make a conclusion like that without any information. 1+1 often times equals two. Work done, immediately after, light on. There iiiiis a pooooossibility something could have happened. When I started to describe the problem I was having, siiiiimply to give context clues so we may know what was causing it, he got very heightened, said "take your business elsewhere I am not even touching this" and then hung up on me. Whether it was something they did or not is not even the issue here. The issue is how I was treated on the phone. Complete disregard, disrespect, and lack of accountability. IT IS POSSIBLE that something minor happened and a sensor got bumped, maybe the oil cap wasn't screwed on tightly, could have been something very easy to catch. This is not the first time I have run into this with him. Years ago, I got my brakes and roters changed. Shortly after, the roter completely ground the brake up and when I brought it in, he immediately jumped into how it was nothing they did without even looking at it (please note I am in no way, shape, or form coming into these experiences accusing anyone of anything! He just jumps to that and it is very uncomfortable.) I didn't question anything and had them replaced again and paid for it again. Several of the people I have referred have had issues as well. Often times a problem after the work and the same response. Makes me so sad to write this review. Havent left a "bad" review in 15 years. But it was appalling. At the end of the conversation I told Tom I was shocked by his response and how awful it felt being treated that way, said that many of his reviews say the same thing, and he said "oh yeah? is that why I am so busy and stay fully stocked on work?" Appalled.

I have NOT bought a Car since 2006 and was never the type to Keeping Up with the Jones. Anyways I notice when going to work early morning my Chevy Trailblazer (Who I named Old Faithful) was reving really hard. As I continued to drive it out to where I had to go the Check Engine light went on. I had this problem before which is an Engine Misfire. On one of the Sparkplugs and Cylinders. I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. All in All I only spent $400 and my engine was running great. Please come over here! He won't rip you off with Lies about the car! 5 stars in my book especially coming from Chicago, IL.
