Wonderful service, attentive waitress, gracious owners (both came out to say hello, we had a sleeping toddler so they brought him a blanket (very sweet). We tried a myriad of dishes (I had the tuna tartare app and lamb chop main) and all were super good. Stopped off for a late lunch on my way to Bryan, TX and I couldn't resist revisiting this little gem--second time in a week! This place is definitely Montgomery's best-kept secret! I had their homemade garlic rolls served with fresh bruschetta sauce made from herbs straight from their garden and the seafood linguini. We have been eating at Amore for years - but it's changed for the worse. Went tonight for our anniversary and had the WORST service ever. The waitress treated the two of us as if we were with the table next to us and tried to wait on us as a group. We went 45 minutes without even placing an order because she was busy talking to our neighbors about where the fish were caught. Then when we asked for our check she put THEIR drinks on our tab. Absolutely will not be going back - not even an attempt at an apology from our server who clearly knew we were irritated. EAT AT OSCARS. Much better. read more

Chicken picatta was very tastey but a bit overcooke. Filet was a bit undercooked but tasty. Food was good and service was great. Not sure the prices are not a little high for the quality. This is one of if not the best restaurants we have by Lake Conroe. HOWEVER, The last time we attempted to enjoy a nice dinner in the BAR at THE BAR, we were told after 10 minutes that these 2 seats in the corner of the bar were reserved. NO SiGNAGE!! WE were told we had to move, and although there were no people waiting, and it was early like 530 , They tried to seat us in the back by a bunch of children. No thank you. We've eaten here at least a dozen times, but no longer.. ... Bar stools are for singles and people we go want a casual experience, not surprise reserved seating! And so we left, not to return again. What an amazing food!!! I'm kicking myself for going months without good Italian food and never giving this place a try. Robert is the reason you want to come eat here. He is a true professional server that will make your dining experience excellent and worth remembering. Yes the food is very good and there's a fine selection of good seafood, meats and pastas to choose from as well as an amazing bar that has excellent cocktails along with a nice wine selection. We've enjoyed eating here many times over these past few years because it is so good. (The piano player is also a nice touch. He plays at the right volume and a great varied selection of styles). Fine dining at its best. Beautifully decorated with three different areas for seating: the bar, the piano, and dining room. We chose the piano room because there was live music that night. He played everything from favorites to Beethoven. The cocktails were amazing! I started with the Palm Springs, so light and refreshing! The lobster bisque was flavorful with just the right creaminess. The Lobster Capellini was definitely the right choice for dinner. The chunky bits of lobster with the rose' sauce was perfectly served with angel hair pasta. The portions are large so you will have plenty left to go. We could not have asked for a better server. Attentive but not hovering and she gave great suggestions. Also, we were celebrating our birthdays so we got a glass of champagne plus cheesecake for dessert! This was the first time I have tried Amore, it was a to go order, and I could not have been more disappointed with the food. My girlfriend got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, the noodles were cooked well, but the sauce was the most bland sauce I have ever tasted, and the chicken, while very tender was also tasteless. I got the supreme chicken Parmesan, and that comes with penne noodles with Alfredo sauce, and it was just as bland on the penne noodles as it was with the fettuccine. The chicken Parmesan itself was about a 3/5, nothing special but the marinara sauce was decent. The redeeming quality was the marinara sauce, and the young woman Haley who took my order and was very nice. I hope to be able to give a 5 star in the future but this was a poor showing of somewhere I'd heard nothing but good things about. read more

Not only was the food delicious - from the bread, lobster bisque, salad, Italian fish special to the sweet watermelon - but the service was unparalleled! E-Kat was our server and our service was extraordinary. We had a medical situation, totally unrelated to the restaurant, and she made everything better. She even prayed for us. Today was my first visit to Amore's. My friend and I came from Sugarland to have a birthday lunch with friends. I fell in love with Amore's as soon as I walked in! The ambience, service and food are over the top amazing. Kudos to Jose our waiter. He is wonderful. Was invited here for dinner with some friends, celebrating their anniversary. They wanted to have dinner at a fine cuisine restaurant and picked this place since it's in our area. Service was reasonable, most of what we ordered came out in a reasonable time. However, in my opinion, the food left much to be desired and was nothing better than average with a "fine" price tag. I decided on a lasagna. I had a taste for one a few weeks prior but didn't want to make a whole pan just for a slice or 2 so getting one here was perfect for filling that taste. It came out nice and hot so I was expecting nothing short of greatness but was disappointed. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either. Flavor and seasoning was a bit bland in my opinion so while cooked well, it wasn't impressive. My wife got a lobster Mac & felt the same way. We were expecting more from this place. Amore was a pleasant experience where ambience and service is the first thing you begin to enjoy. The menu has many enticing and I believe fair priced meals that makes you choose, think, and then say...Ooh... look at that! Four of us all found a great meal. I had Spaghetti bolognese which I know doesn't sound all that exciting but this meal was fantastic which I paired with a Cesar Salad. 1/2 of the meal I took home and threw in a skillet for a amazing midnight snack- day two. Amores is a fun choice for someone you want to treat well for a great meal. $168.00 plus tip 4 meals with appetizers. I had such high hopes for this place. Let me start with the customer service. Upon arrival, the manager Jenny, had over booked our table two times, sat us then had us get up and move table after table. The place was chaotic and loud. The servers kept leaving our tables. The napkin I had, had stains on it. The wait to get your food was unbearably long so make sure to order a few appetizers before hand. Everybody there looked like they were stressed and under pressure due to the manager lurking over them and our table. This was suppose to be a special occasion and this staff was not friendly and overbearing. The food was okay. It tasted like it was frozen too long beforehand. Considering one of our guests is out of state food critic. I wish the staff the best but this place...needs to make changes in order to be called even a 4 star restaurant. In the area this is the finest dining available . My family and I come here often and love the menu . It is an Italian seafood concentration . The one time we had a error on a delivery order the person we dealt with was falling over themselves to make it right , so much I regretted saying anything :) . We came to this restaurant to celebrate the in-laws 35th anniversary and we had a private room for a party of 23. We had two servers David and Brian. While sitting the owner of the restaurant came to personally check in on us she had such a wonderful personality! The atmosphere was really lovely. Rack of lambs was seasoned very well. The lobster bisque flavorful. Another family member had the spaghetti and meatballs and the pineapple chicken. No one had any complaints. They do have another room that you can book and see the lake of Conroe. It is worth the trip from the city. read more
