The owners are the friendliest people to talk and interact with, they always give the best service and have the best sauce in town. In the area running errands with a friend and in search of good pizza ... and we found it! 5 stars for their pizza! The cheese pizza was absolutely phenomenal. We shared a slice because we wanted to try some of their other offerings. We also shared a slice of the meat pie and spinach pie. Both didn't come with sauce so we asked for a side of red sauce and the gentleman and lady behind the counter (who we assumed were the owners) couldn't be more kind and friendly and happily brought a small heated container of sauce to our table. We enjoyed the taste of the meat pie a little more than the spinach pie which was a little bland. Overall, both were very good. We couldn't leave without trying dessert so saw the lady putting the chocolate raspberry with almonds in the dessert case. The gentleman commented that she (presumably his wife) just made them. SOLD!!! It was excellent! Overall a 4.5 star experience. Friendly staff/owners, great pizza and a nice selection of desserts! We'll be back and would like to try some of their other pizza's next time. read more

I finally ventured out to NH for a little shopping and thought I would look for something in the area. I ran across this gem on yelp and thought I would check it out. I order a pizza and grabbed some desserts, everything looked so good! The pizza was the BEST pizza I've had in a long time. I didn't want to stop eating it! I love these people. They know my voice on the phone, they know my family and always ask how they are. The sweetest people. Also, their food is excellent. I personally love the Amore salad. Their Buff chicken APP is also great. All their pizza, even by the slice, is excellent. Their calzones are great. They use fresh ricotta and marinara dipping sauce on the side. Their sicilian pizzas are the best around here, right up their w/ Napolis etc. I've never had a bad experience in the 13 years I've been ordering from there, and I usually order lunch once a week here. I've been coming here since I was a child with my family. It is not a 5-star restaurant, but the food you get from here is 5 stars. It is the epitome of a mom & pop place. The food is made with that extra bit of care that everyone always gets. I can promise that there isn't one bad thing on the menu. If you like grape leaves & lamb this is the place to get them...absolutely delicious. My favorite things here are the Sicilian pizza, meat-pie, & steak bomb subs. Need to start by saying the people here are very sweet but that's as far s as i can go in the positive. I have ordered here in the past and got a turkey sub that came with very wilted lettuce and some of the other ingredients were missing. Haven't ordered here since that, was about 6 months ago. We normally order out for lunch Monday thru Friday so we order from a lot of places and we like a variety so i gave this place another shot. I ordered a large steak and cheese calzone with onions, mushrooms and American cheese. When the lady showed up with me order i was very confused to see what she was carrying as it was not a pizza box, it looked like a small sub, asked her what that was and she responded that was my calzone. Again very confused I asked how that could be as i ordered a calzone large that i was charged 31.00 dollars for (36 with tip) and looking at what she had it was not what was ordered. She explained that this is a "real calzone" and not like others. I asked her what it is i have been eating for the last 50 years as i have never seen a calzone resemble a small sub it has always been a pizza folded over out one pizza turned over on top of another. You get the point.. She told me those are not really calzones... So reluctantly i took it and went up stairs where a couple of us were waiting to eat our shared calzone. Let me just tell you, as soon as i opened it my eyes bugged out off my head as this does not resemble a calzone and upon further inspection it was 95% cheese and dough and very little steak and a few onions no mushrooms. Extremely upsetting for all involved as there was hardly anything to feed people with. This "calzone" was so razor thin and lacking ingredients. Never again, I am very disgusted with what we got and what i was charged for this. I can order a calzone from Giovanni's for 27.00, it is massive, fresh, thick, full of ingredients and will feed 5 people. It looks like a calzone, smells like a calzone, tastes like a calzone and feeds people like a calzone should. Sorry but you have lost my patronage and that of quite a few people who work here also. read more

We moved to Salem about 4.5 years ago and just recently tried Amore for the first time. I wish we knew about it 4 years ago. Ordered the pepperoni, bacon and banana peppers pizza, Sicilian style. It was the best pizza we have ordered since moving here. You could tell the Pie was well put together and it was cooked perfect. A Salem native born and raised here and this is hands down the best pizza of the dozen places plus in Salem. Besides the typical pizza and subs, they offer daily specials of everything from kibbee to New England clam chowder, grape leaves and baklava. All are home made and fresh. The sicilian slices are great too, plus they offer wine and beer, not typical for a pizza place.. The husband and wife who own this place are the nicest people I've ever encountered in any food service place and are all smiles and remember your name. It's been in business for 25 years for a reason. It is tucked away beside an adult bookstore and nail salon in the Child's Plaza on 28 across from Ski Haus. It's easy to drive by, so look carefully. I stopped in to the actual store about a month ago.. It was a Friday or Saturday night and I had called in an order. I was surprised (and a little sad) to see it completely empty. The restaurant is well lit, bright and open and looked spotlessly clean! As I approached a kind soft spoken women acknowledged me and I told her I had placed an order for pick up, my food was ready and waiting to go so that was nice. At the cash register they have a case full of all kinds of baked goods. I kept eyeing a chocolate coconut cake pop and decided to get that as well. I remarked to the lady how it was my first time actually being IN here that I usually only get deliveries, and so she gave me a cookie lol. She insisted, who am I to refuse a free chocolate chip cookie? ;D When I got home, my food was still hot and as I expected delicious. The cake pop was amazeballs, I didn't know what to expect, but definitely worth getting! It was just so nice to see how clean the place was and how genuinely friendly they are. I'm not usually impressed by salad but it was one of the best salads I've ever had!
