Amorino hit the spot right after a hearty meal! Although extremely crowded, the workers handled the traffic effectively and quickly. They were very helpful with which flavors to get and the gelato was delicious!

The Italian gelato here is absolutely delicious! The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. While the store is a bit small, it has a cozy atmosphere. We really enjoyed the ambiance and charming decor.

Tasty and good portions. Tried the dark chocolate and dulce de leche, both delicious.

Please check this place out! If you like gelato. Well, this a place you must check out. I came on a late Wednesday night and it was pretty empty. Therefore, you might have to wait an awhile if you come earlier during the day with possible one or two employees at a time. However, I'm so glad that I did. I've never seen gelato be placed as a rose with so many delicious flavors. I would come to this place probably once a week if I could. LOL! The place was well lit and clean. Parking kind of limited. However, the experience was not. The employee/chef was very nice and she was very knowledgeable about the products and service. Overall, I can't wait to visit again, and I highly recommend checking this place out.

Amazing quality gelato. Best i ever had. Staff was nice and gave me many samples before i chose my flavors. All flavors were so good and the flavor popped out well

A must visit for gelato, they have so many flavors the combinations are endless. Service is great and getting a cone in the shape of a flower is so fun. Will definitely be back :)

A wonderful place for ice cream and gelato lovers! The place to sit and dine-in is really less. They have a huge selection of flavors for us to choose from and they also provide a free tasting of a few of them. Definitely would recommend this place.

I love gelato and this by far is the best gelato ever! You can actually taste the flavor not so much of the sugar. It is a smooth and dense texture that easily melts in your mouth. Ordering should be easier though. The flavors start at the entrance, but we have to walk to the register at the end, place the order then go back to asking for the flavors. However, the staff is super kind and helpful. The place is small, but feels like walking into a fancy restaurant. Love the decor, love the location, the staff, and the gelato!

We came here on a cold Saturday afternoon joining a long line of other people who know that it is never too cold for gelato. Unfortunately, the shop was staffed with only one person. We waited for at least 15 minutes to pay and then another 10 minutes to get our gelato. Once we got our gelato, we were amazed at the flavors and quality! Between the three of us, we sampled the chocolate amorino, chocolate hazelnut, vanilla, coffee, amerina (vanilla, cherries), and the chocolate chip. All were delicious! The gelato deserves 5 stars! The server managed to maintain her composure with the crowd, but she was clearly overwhelmed and working hard.

Tried this gelato place with my wife for date night. Cute shop with some indoor seating. Good amount of business for Saturday night but service was quick enough. They have this special thing they do where if you order a cone, they will spread the gelato in the shape of a rose, which is pretty. They also have a ton of menu options from ice cream drinks/affogato to ice cream filled macarons to crepes and waffles. My wife and I sampled quite a few flavors. She ended up getting a small cup with blood orange (really good blew us away), passion fruit, and Stracciatella. I got a kids cone with Stracciatella and a chocolate amorino macaron. Most popular flavors were blueberry cheesecake, dulce leche, and caramel. I would say the quality of the gelato is less than Botolino but definitely has more flavors and menu options. I actually liked the Stracciatella flavor here better too. Would recommend and would come again!

Needed dessert after a very satisfying dinner nearby and Amorino popped up right across the street. The shop only had one party ahead of us and while we were looking around, the lady working there told us pretty sternly that we had to stand behind the rope and wait until we ordered and paid until we can see the flavors, which was odd. Nevertheless, we waited until she got to us and we had to pick the size and pay before sampling any of the gelato flavors. I ended up getting a small cup and was able to pick 2 flavors: the chocolate hazelnut and coffee. It was a perfect pair and was so creamy and delicious. Even though the service was questionable, the good quality of their product itself definitely stood out.

This gelato never disappoints. The server was extremely courteous and helpful with the new ordering system. I enjoyed my dessert in the last minutes of the store being open, it was peaceful and quiet. The staff didn't make me feel rushed to finish my food and go. I love that.

Holy moly this gelato HITS!!! They have SO many flavors, such an amazing variety, and each one is executed so well. Even the tiniest cup you get 3 flavors. I am so so happy I tried this place--it's walking distance from me so I fully expect to semi live in this shop from now on!

First of all, the Bishop Arts District itself is incredibly charming. Block after block of unique shops ranging from bookstores and bakeries to candle shops, candy stores, coffee spots, and little boutiques. It's exactly the kind of neighborhood I loveeeee exploring while traveling and if I lived in Dallas, I'd probably frequent this area often. As for The Wild Detectives, the concept alone immediately appealed to me...bookstore meets cafe meets bar meets restaurant. That combination will pretty much always grab my attention. I love to read, I love to eat. The space has a pretty relaxed, community oriented vibe, and during my Saturday morning/early afternoon visit, there were plenty of people working, reading, chatting, and hanging out both inside and on the patio. My one slight disappointment was that the bookstore side itself was smaller than I expected and didn't have quite as extensive a selection as I had imagined. That said, I still managed to leave with a few great additions for my ever growing TBR pile. Overall, this was a worthwhile stop and one I may revisit the next time I'm in Dallas.

Please note that parking in this area is particularly difficult but if you come in the morning, it should be easier to find. Another thing worth nothing is that they are more of a quick standing coffee bar type of place and I definitely wouldn't recommend it for families or kids, so keep that in mind when visiting. Now to the food... They have a small but mighty menu for breakfast and lunch. For my first time I decided to try their The Monte Duro, which is a pastry style "hot pocket" with smoked prosciutto, mortadella, mustard and jam. For drink I decided to go with their Dirty Chai Latte. The drink was absolutely perfection and exactly what I needed in a warm Texas morning. Amazing coffee spot in a cool Walnut Hill complex…read more I like the vibe here and their coffee is always on point. I've only been during the day and always spend a little time working before a coffee meeting. The WiFi is always good and the coffee is great. The ambiance is very open and inviting as well. They serve small bites as well but I haven't really partaken. Additionally, I think they have several beers on tap and they appear to all be cool local brews. This coffee shop has quietly become my Dallas work-week crush…read more It's conveniently close to the office I'm using while I'm here, but the real draw is the vibe. Beautiful sunshine pours through big windows, there's a lovely park right outside, and the light is so good it feels like the café equivalent of a good hair day. Dallas weather helps, obviously--but this place knows how to use it. The space is lively without being chaotic. Plenty of outdoor seating, lots of indoor seating, and a very reasonable three-hour Wi-Fi window that keeps people working instead of camping. It feels intentional. People come here to stay, not hover in line. Speaking of which--there's never a line. They're clearly well staffed, everyone's efficient, and everyone is genuinely nice. Now, pastries. This is where they shine. A lot of unique options you don't see everywhere, and everything I tried was excellent. The almond croissant? Fantastic. The blueberry cake? A must-get. I went two days in a row (because obviously), and on day one they told me it was their most popular item. Day two, by 11 a.m., it was completely gone and kept selling out as soon as they tried to restock. That alone tells you what you need to know. The matcha is good--made from scratch, which I appreciate. Is it the best matcha I've ever had? No. It's better than Local Johnny's, but not quite on the level of Marin Coffee Roasters or Ralph & Rose. Still very drinkable and enjoyable, especially if you're settling in to work. What really sets this place apart is its personality. It doesn't feel like a cookie-cutter café or "insert minimalist coffee brand here." There's charm. Character. A little whiteboard with a joke about New Year's resolutions that made me smile. Small details, but they matter. Would I come back? Absolutely. I already did--twice. I'd recommend it especially for locals looking for a solid work spot, co-working with a friend, or anyone who wants to be productive without being bothered. If you're visiting Dallas briefly, this might not be a destination café--but if you're here for a bit and want a reliable, pleasant, sunny place to work and snack, this one's a yes.
