Pleasantly surprised with how amazing the gelato is here! They serve it in a tin which is how you know it's legitimate. The place gets busy here after dinner times on the weekend. There's not a ton of seating either besides a few bar seats and some outdoor seating. Favorite flavors are any of their sherbets and they even have some pastries that are great as well. read more

Got some dessert with my cousins at Botolino. Parking is kinda hard in this area but they have a narrow alley with some parking spots on the side. They were pretty busy but the line moves fast. They also let you sample any flavors before ordering. I tried the lychee sorbet and another flavor that I forgot heh. The lychee flavor was pretty good but I thought the other one was just ok. I thought it was just avg but id prob still come back if someone suggested it. They have a lot of unique flavors that you wouldn't normally find elsewhere read more

My nephew brought me here because he loves this place. After getting the mascarpone and fig gelato I understand why. This is the best gelato I've ever tasted!!! Maybe it's because it's super creamy? I really can't explain it. I just wish they have a store near where I live! Customer service is okay not super friendly but not rude either just okay. Serving sizes can be improved. read more

What a wonderful and creative gelato spot down on lower Greenville. I had mascarpone and fig and a scoop of honey gelato. You are able to sample the flavors and that is what I settled on. These were great flavors with a smooth creamy texture. They have other pricey but beautifully crafted desserts here and I bought an espresso ganache for my sister and she said it was really good. I would love to come back and try a sundae or an affogato. read more

Stopped by around 3:45 p.m. on a Saturday to escape the heat and finally check out this much-hyped gelato spot that's racked up "Best in Dallas" accolades for years. The service immediately lived up to the rep--friendly, patient, and generous with samples, which helped narrow down the tough flavor decisions. I ended up with a three-flavor cup: pistachio, mascarpone & fig, and Thai tea. The pistachio and mascarpone & fig flavors were great. The Thai tea flavor, unfortunately, didn't hit the same--it didn't taste like Thai tea. Still, 2 out of 3 were stellar, and I'd come back to explore more flavors. I'll have to grab a carton of pistachio to enjoy at home next time. read more

Best spot for a cold, sweet treat in Dallas. The options can be a bit pricy, but I think it's worth it. There are various gelato and sorbetto flavors so there's something for everyone. Personally, the bergamot flavor was my favorite! I also loved that you can sample as many flavors as you want before committing to something. As others have mentioned, parking can be a challenge in this area, so keep that in mind and be prepared to pay differing amounts depending on what you find. read more

Texas is getting hotter, but Botolino is keeping it cooler with their energizing coffee and owner-crafted gelato flavors. Great customer service from the staff, particularly Riley. They were knowledgeable about how their most popular flavor, white coffee, was made by soaking up the flavor of coffee from the daily coffee yet without absorbing the caffeine. I really appreciated the ability to sample any flavor before deciding, which allowed for a more personalized dessert experience. Be sure to visit often to experience all the new flavors as they are on a rotation. The shop space is intimate with bar-sryled high top tables lining the inside perimeter and outside garden-style seating. read more

Very delicious gelato! Any gelato shop that has silver lids on-top of their gelato tubs, is legit. Highly recommend, if you are in the lower greenville area and want to have authentic gelato. Service was excellent, and there was a variety of offerings from gelato, to coffees, and pastries. Ambiance is very cozy, there's lots of seating, and the back kitchen is exposed so you can see the magic happen. read more

I've been here multiple times and wish I can come more often. One of the best gelato I've ever had and I love that they rotate flavors each week!! I tried white coffee from other places but never got this rich coffee flavor in ice cream! And the rich hazelnut flavor in chocolate is also very delicious! My friend took here for the first time since I was curious as to why it was highly recommended by a relative. My first impression was that it was a small shop lacking tables inside and only have long bar stools. But then I saw the big viewing window of the machines that was apparently used to make their gelatos on a regular basis! The servers gave us samples of each gelato flavors and I chose my two favorites: coconut stracciatella and Gianduia chocolate. They were so good! I would totally go again, even if I'm a little lactose intolerant. Just need to remember to bring my meds! read more

My friend and I got the kid's size thai iced tea, gianduia, and don pistachio. All the flavors were very creamy and delicious. The thai iced tea however tasted a bit more like pumpkin spice. You have the option to mix different flavors as well which I liked. There are also other desserts and drinks if gelato is not something you're interested in. The staff were super friendly and offered us samples to try since it was our first time visiting. The interior is decorated well and has a very cozy feeling so seating is fairly limited. There are spaces both indoors and outdoors available but I would not recommend coming here with a large party. read more

Tried the mint straichetella and milk chocolate tonight. The mint was very forward with pieces of mind leaves encompassed in the gelato. The milk chocolate was very rich and gave more dark chocolate. Loved this gelato spot! I got the affogato with their white coffee flavored gelato and it was incredible. It was super rich, smooth, and just the right amount of sweetness. It hit the spot without being overpowering. The shop itself is a little small inside with limited seating, but there's outdoor seating available which worked perfectly. Fast service. read more

How have I never heard about Botolino ? Omg. Wonderful experience and SO damn good. The inside has this classic Italian feel to it, very clean and pristine. I will warn that there's very minimal seating though, definitely not a place for parties/large groups of people to gather at especially indoors, but if weather permits there are some tables outside to sit at. The desserts are next level (seriously check my video) and the staff are friendly. Don't be afraid to ask for gelato samples & suggestions on what flavors to mix. I did and now have a new favorite combo (Persian Flowers I think it was called w/pistachio bits and White Coffee). A good balance between a subtle floral and nutty profile and a creamy, coffee one. Yum Yum Yum. It was so good I ate it all before I could get a picture of it LOL. I wish I lived closer, because I'd be here at least once a week when I'm craving something sweet. read more

This place was awesome! The gelato is a very smooth, refined texture and has incredible flavor. The pistachio gelato tasted exactly like eating a handful of pistachios and made me realize how flavorless store bought pistachio ice cream really is. We tried flavors like salted caramel, hazelnut, chocolate and strawberry and they all were equally delicious. The prices are fair since this is a specialty dessert and the service was great. They allowed us samples and were very efficient. It is located in downtown Dallas and is very nice and quaint despite the surrounding area being not as much. I couldn't speak more highly of a gelato spot. Ironically enough the gelato was so good it was the only thing I didn't take a picture of. The mascarpone and fig as well as the pistachio were to die for. The girls scooping the gelato were very knowledgeable about all the flavors. There were a plethora of flavors to try; some basic flavors and some that were unique. We tried a couple before making our decision. The ice cream was yummy. However, I was not a fan of the toffee. Upon further review, the description revealed that there were dates in it, and I am not a fan of dates. The price to flavor ratio was low. Honestly my favorite place to have gelato in DFW. The flavors here are just so perfect. The servers are great and are always happy to let you sample the variety so you can craft your ideal bowl of flavors. It can get busy, but there's seating inside and outside for you to enjoy the treat. My typical choices depend on how I'm feeling, but some of my favorite players are PBJ, white coffee, and mascarpone and fig. There is abundant parking in the lot right behind the store, but with how popping lower Greenville gets, it definitely gets hard to find a spot but it's fully worth it for the gelato here. read more

Why 4 stars? Because the salted caramel was perfect. --- --- --- We went out of way to stop here after lunch because the reviews were so amazing. As I always do, I walked in and immediately had anxiety about asking for too many samples (because I want to try an obnoxious amount). I announced ahead of time that I would love to try three, and the woman behind the counter laughed and said I could try as many as I like. We were the only ones in here at kind of an odd time, so that was nice. I tried salted caramel. I loved salted caramel. A lot. I tried some other flavors. They were all just okay. I ended up going with two scoops: one salted caramel and one hazelnut. In retrospect, I wish I would have just doubled up on the salted caramel, but I wanted to try multiple things. While I didn't love the other flavors, the Salted Caramel deserves about 10 stars on its own. read more

I recently visited Botolino Gelato Artigianale in Dallas, hoping to experience the best gelato in the city, as many highly recommend it. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. As an ice cream enthusiast who loves trying new flavors and gelato shops, I was looking forward to trying Botolino's offerings. However, most of the flavors I tried fell below my expectations. The chocolate flavor tasted worse than chocolate milk from Costco. The pistachio flavor tasted like chemicals, which was a huge turn off. While the vanilla flavor was okay, it wasn't anything special. The only flavors I recommend are salted caramel and hot espresso, which were okay. Overall, my experience at Botolino Gelato Artigianale was underwhelming, and I wouldn't recommend it as the best gelato in Dallas. It's a shame when a highly recommended place falls short, but it's essential to be honest about my experiences to help others make informed decisions. Botolino's gelato was a complete disaster! It was gross and lacked any real flavor. I couldn't believe they called it gelato. It was more like a tasteless, unidentifiable mess that I wouldn't wish on anyone. The texture was off too - not creamy like gelato should be. It felt like they just threw random things together and hoped for the best. Save yourself the disappointment and stay far away from Botolino. They also offer samples if you are indecisive like me :) Luckily, I didn't need to sample many before deciding on gianduia (chocolate and hazelnut) and marscapone and fig.
