Came in on a Wednesday evening and was quickly served 2 split scoops (one scoop with two flavors). I got the seasonal strawberries and cream which was my favorite, along with vanilla, brownies à la mode, and cookies and cream. Lots of chocolate flavors for chocolate lovers!! They had cookies, ice cream sandwiches, and I think milkshakes on their menu too. They also sold some small chocolate bars. Their ice creams were creamy and not too sweet, it was not overly indulgent. I wish there were more mix ins, but the ice creams were still yummy. You will not go wrong with a buttery, delicate crisp as a foundation for their wonderful ice creams. They're scoop the best ice cream I've found so far here. Any place that starts with Mill King already gets a place in my heart. But they also use plenty of other quality ingredients and bake their own mix ins like cookies and brownies. All the little details make for literally the perfect ice cream. My only critique is that I wish they had more unique flavors. My partner is more so the connoisseur and he doesn't seem to mind because they do basic flavors extraordinarily well. Please at least give me an extraordinary strawberry. On my way into Haystack I noticed this shop and decided I would stop in after dinner. Enjoyed my meal and headed over to Parlor's for dessert. Upon walking in I was instantly greeted. The owner was behind the counter and was so helpful in deciding what to order. He explained the process they use to make the ice cream and suggested the triple butter ice cream. After tasting the sample I instantly knew why it was the most popular flavor. The ice cream is very smooth and the chunks of the nut butter added so much great flavor. EDIT: Our orders cost between $6-7 with a tip. As an ice cream lover, this was an extremely disappointing experience. The small restaurant was clean and the two staffers were friendly, but the options were very limited and the product was lackluster. I visited Parlor's Ice Cream around 5 p.m. on a Sunday with one other guest and we were in and out within five minutes. There is no seating inside and only two outdoor park benches. We each ordered a single scoop in a cup. I ordered sweet cream and she ordered mint chocolate chip. Each order was about $6-7. We both wanted a waffle cone, but they were a $1.50 up-charge, which we didn't feel necessary to pay for. The sweet cream had almost no flavor and left a thick coating in my entire mouth, which was not great. The mint chip barely had any mint flavor. Additionally, there were only about a dozen flavors, which would typically be fine, but they were all vanilla or chocolate-adjacent flavors. There were no fruity flavors, which was very odd. Overall, I wouldn't visit again or recommend to anyone looking for a sweet treat. Dallas has so many other fantastic offerings. read more

You can especially taste the high quality ingredients in the ice cream which taste very fresh, unlike other ice creams where you can tell they have been frozen for a while. The Autumn Pumpkin and Triple Nut Butter Cookie complimented each other very well. The pumpkin tastes basically like pumpkin pie and the triple nut butter has delightful chunks of cookie in each bite that brings this dessert together perfectly. It's just a bummer to pay for something only to throw it away. My kids did eat though and they were the ones wanting ice cream so I guess that's worth it. I feel really duped by these reviews. The ice cream was less than basic. I tried the half baked and the milk and cookies and they were just way too plain for the price. Top that off with an employee with a bad attitude and I will 100% never return. Oh and not to mention it is not inviting at all.
