We did not expect them to be so big. The coffee cake flavour just tasted like a regular coffee ice cream with some toffee, but I did not taste the "chunks of coffee cake." I've been to this location a couple times now while dining or playing in the area at Flight Club and Mexican Sugar. It's near Allen Parkway in Regent Square. They've really built up the area with an apartment, restaurants, nail salon, etc. There's garage, valet and street parking available. The parking garage used to be free back then. Flower & Cream has two other locations at the Post Houston downtown and Holcombe. I've also been to the Post location several times. A scoop of ice cream whether in a cup or cone (sugar or waffle) have increased in price over the years at all artisan ice cream shops. I love ice cream, even on a cold day. I've had their kiddie size, one scoop and 2 scoops in a cup. Lately, I find that the kiddie size is good enough. They pack it up and pile it high. I do love a sugar or waffle cone, but it can get messy and drip. Flower & Cream makes their waffle cones and konery cones in house. It always smells so good at the order window. I've tried a few ice cream flavors, but my absolute favorite is the Biscoff cookie butter with speculoos ice cream and pieces of Biscoff cookies. You can also be creative and add toppings for extra. They offer gluten free, vegan and dairy free options. There's something for everyone. Come check this ice cream shop out, and hang out at the park in the center! read more

Cutesy place and friendly staff. Parking is limited but if you're patient it's worth it. Tasting flavors is aloud and I recommend because the menu sounds so yummy. Almost too many options! I tried the rainbow cake and cereal milk oreo flavors. Rainbow cake tastes like birthday cake and vanilla ice cream. Cereal milk Oreo was my fave and ultimately won my heart. This adorable place is the perfect after dinner treat! Located conveniently across from Mexican Sugar, and Succulent it's the perfect spot to cap off the night. After enjoying a birthday dinner with friends it wasn't a hard decision to hop on over to thei brightly lit walk up and order. They have quite a few options to choose from. I decided on the Brown Butter Pecan. My 1 scoop was plenty! They definitely don't skimp on portions. My favorite here is the Biscoff ice cream, Yum! Service is pretty quick, they may seem a little flat in their welcome to customers, but the ice cream makes up for it. Street parking is available but tight, it's best to parking in the parking garage a few steps away. Line was a decent size most of the night, so I felt kinda bad for the one person behind the window.. which meant it was a bit slow cause she was by herself scooping and charging folks! Both choices were very tasty but I thought they were fairly close and tasted somewhat similar. The banana didn't have a pronounced flavor. Maybe it was overwhelmed by the Nutella flavor. The cookies ended up being at the bottom so I didn't get to them until I had nearly finished the cup. First thing to note: the parking garage directly by the place is not free, it is paid - and the parking directly next to it is 10-min only. Since it's walk-up, this wasn't an issue at all. There wasn't a line so we didn't have to wait. There's no seats, you just walk up and order. It's got a cute vibe. It's roughly 7 dollars for a standard split-scoop with a waffle cone. I got the Kahlúa & Cookies and Toffee Coffee Cake in a waffle cone. Both of the flavors were so good! The chocolate chip cookie chunks in the Kahlúa one are so tasty and the coffee cake was nice and cinnamon-y (I wish there was more of it). read more

This my absolute favorite ice cream shoppe, and they have a favorite flavor I did not know existed before coming here. Honey Rose is the best if you're looking for something creamy, fresh, and floral. Other flavors I can vouch for as valid are Biscoff, Brown Butter Pecan, and Cereal milk and oreos (doesn't sound very good to me which is why I don't really order it, but it's basically cookies and cream and tastes really good). Their ice cream is so good I don't even care about the customer service! But from the reviews I see people with similar experiences to mine. Their reps can be pretty flat and non-welcoming. If this location wants more 5 star reviews, I recommend they improve their customer service training! The reception would probably see an increase in tips too read more

It's not a great location. It's pay to park but there is some free parking. On the date of this review the young woman with blond hair was working. She was not helpful, surly, and several in our group didn't order anything because of her attitude. She should not be employed. I wouldn't go back because of her. The actual ice cream was good to very good. They had a good selection of flavors but not one single dark chocolate flavor per employee. They had a nice selection of cones but of course the employee couldn't be bothered to explain why the black cone was called a vanilla cone. My husband and I got pistachio baklava on a waffle cone and midnight vanilla cone, respectively, and my mom chose toffee coffee cake on a lavender cone. We all LOVED our ice cream. Service was friendly and prompt. The only downside was that navigation told us to turn into the place via Dunlavy, but the road its on, which is perpendicular to Dunlavy, is one way only and says Do Not Enter.
