There are not a lot of gas fireplace repair companies in SD so Andy is really busy. He came out a couple of weeks ago and there was a clog in the gasline so he repaired. It was fixed but only for a few days. Called them back and even though there wasn't technically an appointment available until 29 December, Andy squeezed us in yesterday, Christmas eve. This time the clog was even bigger so he repaired it but made the pilot bigger so hopefully this won't continue to be a problem. It's working great now and as he guarantees his work there was no charge the 2nd visit. What was most impressive was him coming out on Christmas eve and happily fixing the problem.

My house was built in 2014, and I had a large island that needed repair (drywall and cabinets). They were able to get them, but the lead time was something like eight months, so I opted out and went for different ones with the help of Tatiana and Alex. But where to find one who'll come to your compound in the boonies? Well, it just so happens that there is a Chad for that job, and he runs Ground Werks Landscaping. I found Chad via referral by another crew that does brush clearing with hand and power tools. Our plot was just too big for their approach. Chad gave us a reasonable rate, worked around plants we wanted to keep (native sages and manzanita) and was fast to boot. This is the second year that we have had Ground Werks out, and we'll likely keep calling Chad when we need someone to help with brush clearing, mowing or general land maintenance. He's prompt, efficient and affable, and his pricing is right.

It took them 3 hours to reassemble the Disney bed due to the parts not being labeled and it being a complicated piece. He was able to repair an armoire which the invoice stated it took 1/2 hour but he charged us for the two men hourly rate.... I'm not sure of what the piece looked like (remember, this was for my customer in CA) so maybe it did take two men but I find it difficult to believe that 2 men couldn't have repaired this in possibly 15 minutes or less. The reason I say that is because my customer said that all that needed to be done was to change where the hinges were placed. Cost for the reassembly of a complicated bed was $300.00 (3 hours of labor for 2 men) and for the repair of the armoire $50.00 (1/2 hour of labor for 2 men). Total cost = $350.00. All-in-all Steve was accomodating and my customer was satisfied with his work. I will keep his contact info on file should we need him in the future in San Diego. Thank you Steve!
