Let me start by saying, I did not expect to buy a dress when I came into Amour Bridal. I honestly thought that I would just get an idea of the silhouette that I wanted and go from there. I'm such a picky person that I couldn't imagine finding the dress of my dreams at my very first bridal appointment. Kristen greeted me and my sister with mimosas and gave us a moment to just browse though the dresses and see if anything stood out to me. I picked four dresses and based on what details I liked, Kristen picked two more. My picks were underwhelming.. apparently I had no idea what I wanted.. Dress #5 though (Kristen's pick) was incredible.. I loved the lace and cap sleeves.. I loved the fit and the train.. It was obvious that I fell completely in love with this dress.. I literally took it off and put it back on three times during my appointment. Kristen was so supportive and patient and considerate of my budget.. And that was it.. I knew it was the one. I got so many compliments and I was still just as awe struck from the moment I tried it on until my wedding day. It is probably the most beautiful thing I'll ever own. Oh.. and it was only $1700.. What a wonderful experience I had at Amour Bridal. Kristen was amazing from beginning to the end. They carry many different styles of gorgeous dresses. Shopping for a dress can be stressful, however from the point my family and I walked in the boutique we were treated with smiles and an amazing sense of calmness to make this process enjoyable. I really LOVE this place. My daughter found a beautiful wedding dress on sale for around $650. They were so attentive and helpful. We went back about a month later for the veil because we couldn't find anything as nice anywhere else. That was $260 plus we paid an extra $10 to have it shipped to my daughter since she lives in north Texas. I think I may actually get my Mother-of-the Bride dress there too for $295, but I just want to look at a few more places. I really appreciate Brenda's help today trying to make sure I order the right size. What's nice is I can pay $30 extra to get the dress in 2 months; otherwise it comes in 4 months. I love this shop. It has a fantastic open floor plan, lots of space for moving around (to see how the dress moves) & the owner, Kristen, was really great. I had the feeling she would have treated me the same whether I bought a dress there or not. Kristen created a really warm, hospitable, joyful environment for me to try on wedding dresses for the first time with my Mother-in-law and there was no pressure to buy from Amour, which is great for someone like me who does NOT like to be bullied into buying In addition to helping me into some complicated dresses (so much tulle) she was also able to find me something in my price range. This is one of the most sincere and kindest bridal shops you can work with! I did not buy my dress with Amour bridal, but the ladies here went really above and beyond helping me find my dress. They are one of the few stores to carry Mori Lee, and I was looking for a specific dress. They didn't have it in house but looked all over the US to help me get it to try on. They kept in contact with me and reached out to me many times. The dedication these ladies put into helping me find my dress was extraordinary! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I've probably tried on over 60 dresses prior to visiting Amour Bridal. First, they opened an hour earlier because it worked better for my schedule and were so accommodating. I went with my mom, two sisters and friend. We were greeted by Brenda, who offered us champagne, mimosas or water. The salon is super clean, with a massive area and mirror. Big windows gave great natural light - and the dressing rooms and were HUGE -which every bridal salon should have!! There were 6+ hooks so you could see all your options individually not hidden behind others. Brenda really worked within my budget. She was so friendly and didn't make me feel rushed or uncomfortable at all. She talked to us like we were all friends and wasn't afraid to give her opinion and advice (her daughters are married) she put a veil on, fluffed the train of the dress etc. You could tell they really care about their customers. I found my dress - and I love love love it. I cannot wait to wear it! They also started carrying bridesmaid dresses from Gather and Gown...I called on their day off and they happened to be there with another customer and said we could come in and try on the bridesmaid dress in between appointments. I purchased my dress off the rack at Amour Bridal and I absolutely love it. I tried on a bunch of dresses ahead of my dress and did not much care for any of them. The store is filled with lace and intricate detailing, which isn't really my style. I still managed to find the perfect dress and was able to take it with me at the end of the appointment! The salesperson was supposed to order my veil and somehow that order never made it to the supplier. In the end, an associate in the store refunded my money for the veil and gave me the used one they had in the store. read more

This is a lovely bridal salon with some unique gowns and ways to truly personalize wedding gowns. As the mother of the bride I had no idea you could add straps, sleeves or tops to strapless gowns. Kristen showed us many different gowns AND these very unique add-ons to go with them. She truly nailed what my daughter was looking for. Make an appointment there and they will wait on you hand and foot and you will likely try on lovely gowns that are hard to find elsewhere. read more

This bridal shop is absolutely perfect in every way. First off, the studio is beautiful with big couches and chairs... could definitely hold 6-8 people per party. The staff is so sweet and attentive. I spent 2 hours with Brenda (the shop owner, Kristens, mother) and she was amazing. She helped me get into probably 10 dresses and encouraged me to try on whatever caught my eye on the rack. Naturally, I picked out 10 gowns because all the dresses they have are stunning!!! It was so hard to narrow down a top 3 because every dress I tried on was jaw dropping. I will be going back to make a final decision in a week and I have no doubt I will be 110% satisfied. The experience I have received at this shop is like none other... This was my first time trying on bridal dresses and Amour Bridal was AMAZING! Brandy was my stylist and she was so kind welcoming me. She really listened to what I liked even though I had never tried any on. Once we started trying some dresses on, she got a feel for what I liked and didn't like and pulled some of her own. I gotta say, this shop was very beautiful! It's tucked in the back of the shopping center located near 1431 cafe. I was the only client in the building which was really nice to get the personal experience. Brandy listened to stayed close to my budget. She also has alteration experience so she pointed out places on the dress that I could alter to what I was looking for. We had a really great experience and with the whole store in general. It's a beautiful, clean, spacious with large fitting rooms with gorgeous dresses! I loved all the ones I tried on! My favorite dress designer here is Mori Lee! I absolutely LOVE Amour Bridal!! From the time I walked in I was treated so special and the girls were just as excited for me to get married and find a dress as I was which was fantastic! We were all offered champagne to kick off the dress shopping and the shop had us in it so it was perfect and not crowded or anything! I showed them my vision and we grabbed dresses like crazy and also they showed me dresses that were out of my comfort zone and I actually loved them!!!! They knew their dresses and every dress we pulled was beautiful! After my first visit here I did make the mistake of trying another bridal store and needless to say I came back to Amour and SAID YES TO THE DRESS!! I was so pleased with my stylist Brittany and the manager Kathy! They were incredible. Brittany was so sweet, she knew her dresses, made me feel beautiful in the dresses, fit the dress to my body every time! Told me everything I needed to know about the dress and alterations!!! Brenda and her daughters were so sweet and welcoming right off the bat. This was the second store I visited in January while shopping for my wedding dress and I truly had a great experience. I was offered a mimosa first thing, which was delicious, and I told Brenda my budget. She immediately started showing me dresses within that price range, with no guilt tripping or trying to get me to change my mind. That was honestly one of the best parts of the whole experience, I didn't feel any pressure to buy that day or anything at all, really! So I would give 10 stars for that kind of service alone because that's honestly what dress shopping should be about: being happy with your decision and comfortable. They even took pictures for me as I was trying dresses on and patiently waited for me to send them to my mom and my MOH. Everyone is out of state, which was no big deal, because they took care of me. They all genuinely seemed like they wanted to help me find the right dress that day, which I did. AND they saved my butt the week of my wedding because I completely misunderstood my alterations lady and thought that she would be steaming my dress once it was fitted, but she said, "No your dress shop does that for you! Call them tomorrow!" So I frantically emailed Amour on a Tuesday (when they're closed) asking if they would be able to steam my dress before Sunday and I got a response within 5 minutes saying, "Of course!" They even did my little sister's flower girl dress! So they really are lifesavers and I am so glad I went with this shop. Oh, and my veil was beautiful, too :) read more

I came here after booking an appointment spur of the moment. I get there with my friends and family and they immediately put us at ease offering us waters and getting us comfortable. They had me fill out a form just asking basic info like when is the wedding and budget. I'm getting married fairly soon so Brenda let me know that it would be hard to find something and get it here in time but it was possible. Off me and Brenda went to look at dresses and she asked what I liked and I said I was open to anything really. She pulled 4-5 dresses within my price range and I tried them on. One of them was the dress of my dreams! Brenda let me know they had one they could order for me and it was like it was meant to be and so I said yes to the dress! I never felt pressured to buy anything and both Brenda and the other lovely lady working there were so helpful and great. I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience finding my dress! It was everything that I could have imagined, even with weather delaying people to be with me for my first appointment! My son, who came with instead, was welcomed with so much kindness which I was concerned about since he's young. I had been to 3 other bridal boutiques before I stepped into Amour and my spirits were low! However, Anne was wonderful! She pulled a bunch of dresses she thought I would like based on simple statements made on what I wanted. She did an amazing job! I fell in love with the very first one she picked. She also helped walk me through different alterations I could make on it to help fit my frame better! I also received a box of chocolate covered strawberries as a thank you. After two days of searching for a debutante dress for my daughter, we had about given up hope. Our other stops at various bridal stores had resulted in high pressure, high prices, and low quality and taste. We were about to throw in the towel, but made one more stop because it was on the way home. Oh, how lucky that decision turned out to be! Not only did we find the perfect dress, we found the perfect store to buy it in. The shop is super cute (as opposed Alfred Angelo which was actually dirty). Secondly, not only were we not pressured to buy a dress out of our budget, Kristen was very tactful and open about what she had in our price range. Unlike the clerks at David's Bridal who were trying to juggle three or four clients (why did we bother making an appointment?) we had her undivided attention and patience. When my daughter walked out in her dress she was floating on air. Although it was a sample and not her size they had the necessary clips and crinolines to still give us a view of what the proper fit would look and feel like. We ended up spending an amount at the top of our budget but I feel it was money well spent. I am so glad we found this shop and were able to help support not only a small, local business, but a better business. read more

Last week I visited Amour Bridal to check out this new place because one of my good friends is engaged to be married in 2016 and is just beginning to look for wedding gowns. When i walked into the door, I was greeted by Kristen, who turns out to be the owner and is a real delight to work with. As a newlywed, Kristen understands exactly what is important to Brides regarding their wedding gown and she has a young and fresh perspective when it comes to the latest fashion trends. Some of the things I wanted to share is that this boutique is very classy and has a huge assortment of gorgeous gowns. (It made me wish I were young again and getting married for the first time.haha) Amour has some of the most beautiful gowns I have ever laid my eyes on and their prices are so reasonable, I can't imagine my friend buying a gown any where else. On top of having an amazing selection, i love the way it is set up. It is very spacious and has lots of seating room for prospective brides to bring their bridesmaids and family to share in this big moment. I went with my mother and future mother-in-law on a Saturday morning - after talking with Brenda about what I was looking for and sipping on one of their fab mimosas, she went through their collection with me and helped me pick out every single dress that I tried on, while keeping my budget and opinions in mind. Natasha helped me try everything on and was incredible with helping me see the potential of each dress - I am a pretty petite person, so the dresses needed to be clipped all over! She would pin everything from the back and allow me to see the front as it would fit, then I would turn around and she would pin the front so that I could see what the back would actually look like, which was SO helpful. Brenda and Natasha were both incredibly patient and attentive, and encouraged me to try dresses/materials that I wouldn't have tried on otherwise, and I ended up ordering my perfect dress by the end of our appointment. I had such an incredible experience at Amour Bridal! I had been to 5 other bridal shops all around Austin before I made my last stop here at Amour Bridal. (Btw I didn't even want to stop here bc at the first store I had went to that day I thought I had found my dress, but I was WRONG!) The associate that helped us out was incredibly sweet!. We were 30 minutes early to my appointment but she warmed us with a welcome while helping the other bride to be and her family and offered refreshments while we wait. We were in no rush so we just hung out on the couch and looked through the books and magazines they had laid out. I looked around and didn't see anything that REALLY caught my eye. Again, this was my SIXTH bridal store that i had been too so I've seen just about everything. My mom did pick one out for me to try on which was very simple and elegant, which is exactly what I was going for, and was only $500!! Once the associate (i wish i could remember her name.. :/) was finished with the previous bride she came over and i showed her the picture of the dress that i had picked out at the other store and she went straight to two dresses that they had that were similar to the dress that was in my number one spot and holy cow they were gorgeous! (I think the other bride had them in her dressing room). One of them was in my price range and the other about $500 outside of my price range which she warned me about automatically. She asked me if i was positive about trying it on a couple of times bc she knows how money can be very sensitive (she has two daughters herself). After I put it on and walked out my mom and myself fell in love with the dress! It was PERFECT!! Neither me or my mom teared up with any other dress until this one. The sales associate didn't pressure us what so ever she was very sweet and definitely my favorite to work with out of everyone else that helped us on our search for my dress. Turned out she and her family are from Boston along with my fiances family and she only works at Amour whenever she can because she's a full time nurse but she enjoys the happiness that comes along with helping brides to be and their big day. She was very patient with us the entire time. I think I was in the same dress for about 15 minutes just standing up there debating on whether or not to get it (the price was the only thing that was making me think otherwise)...once i finally got dressed into my regular clothes all 4 of us (myself, my mom, my fiances 4 year old daughter and the sweet consultant) were talking about options and basically just letting me think about it. Finally, I just made the decision to buy it and I couldn't be more excited! The dress is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and I couldn't imagine myself in any other dress! This shop has gorgeous dresses (two of which were in my top 3!!) and it was very smooth and easy process to purchase. Thank you again for everything! This place is wonderful! After looking for a dress at 5 other stores big and small boutiques) I was getting frustrated and tired of searching. I came in for the sample sale and Natasha pulled dresses for me like the style I described. (They even have a picture of a model in the dress on the hanger so you can see what it looks like on someone-so helpful!) I found a dress I liked but wanted to add sleeves, and Natasha was so helpful to do that as well. Really though, I'm writing this review because of how considerate Natasha was during this whole process. During the sample sale, dresses were on mega sale but if you left and came back you ran the risk of someone else getting that dress for that deal. I couldn't make up my mind and Natasha was so kind and gave me space (and so much time!) to make my decision. I loved the dress-but was still a little unsure about one part of it. When I was trying to decide Natasha came back and suggested another dress- very similar without the one part of the other dress I was unsure about! It was perfect, and everyone was so considerate and accommodating! I will definitely recommend this place to my friends getting married! read more

I went to Amour Bridal because their website indicated a large selection of dresses for reasonable budgets. It was easy to make the appointment, but they never responded to an email I sent right after making the appointment asking if a particular dress was in the store (at my appointment I found that it wasn't, but they were willing to order a loaner for $50 that could be applied towards the dress if I bought it). It was easy to find the shop, and they have a large open space inside...which they should probably use to stock more dresses. Their selection was much smaller than other bridal salons, and I didn't find any dresses in my style. Furthermore, the staff didn't seem very interested in me, or helping me find dresses, or anything else and seemed like they just wanted to go home, but I think it must have been an off-day because others have not had this experience. This was the only shop that didn't help me into and out of dresses, which was difficult. However, almost all of their dresses were very affordable, so if they do stock dresses that you like you should get a good deal. read more
