    Chicken Kebab (takeout)

I saw Amoura on Grubhub and decided to do a pickup order from here. When I arrived to place looked nice and spacious. It was my first visit. I was excited to return and dine in, but when I tried the chicken kebab, which is my favorite Mediterranean dish, I was disappointed by how dry the chicken was so I'm not sure I'd return.

Came here for dinner with coworkers and it was pretty busy for a Tuesday evening. The appetizers were great - get one to share for the table if you're with a lot of people. The grilled meats were the highlight. Kebob meat was flavorful and well prepared. Only downside from the meal was the side of rice that came with my mixed grill was partially cooked with chunks of it still raw. The parking lot to the side belongs to the restaurant (you can ignore the tow signs as they own it).

We decided to try a new to us place in South SF. Amoura is a welcoming restaurant. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our waiter offered us sparkling, still or tap water and went over the dining menu. We ordered a bottle of Daou Can to start. Once our wine was served we opted to try the lamb kabobs and the Avocado carrot salad. The kabobs were melt in your mouth tender. Very nice flavor. Two kabobs per order 10/10 The avocado and carrot salad was a very unique twist I had never seen that combo in a menu before. The carrots were nicely roasted giving the texture a wonderful balance for the avocado and cucumbers. Topped with dill this is a refreshing salad. 10/10 The restaurant was softly lit making for a cozy atmosphere. We noticed a lot of business meetings/dinners taking place. There is an open style kitchen and a small bar off to the one side.

Restaurant is beautiful, surprisingly only half full so we were able to be seated as a group on a Friday night. Had opportunity to try quite a bit: -Amoura platter - beautiful spread, especially loved the smoked potato bread! What is that?! -House baked pita - meh would skip and get more smoked potato bread instead. -Avocado and roasted carrot salad - heard this is the best seller that ppl come back for. I was not wowed, but I eat a lot of salad at home. Would try another salad. -Brussels sprouts - really good with the tahini and pepitas. I'd come back for these! -Lamb tagine - great flavors, tender lamb, but very salty. I couldn't finish it. The turmeric rice is bomb (although I would have expected couscous with tagine?) -Herb crusted branzino - tasty sizable piece of branzino, I think stuffed with chermoula? Didn't care for the Palestinian couscous though, surprisingly bland. -Moroccan 75 cocktail - lovely grapefruit treat served with the bubbly on the side (bc some ppl are sensitive to carbonation! Who knew?!) so thoughtful. Great service, though I was surprised we were not offered another round of beverages and dessert menu.

I'm always looking to try new spots close to home, so Amoura was an easy pick to check off my South SF list. We sampled a variety of starters and entrees, but my favorite was the sampler platter with a side of their house baked pita. It was the perfect way to try a little bit of everything, and the warm, fluffy pita tied it all together perfectly. The entrees were good, though they could've used a bit more flavor to really stand out. Overall solid Mediterranean spot in the South SF area and I'd definitely go back to try more of their menu.

Amoura serves authentic Middle Eastern fare with flare. The dishes are elevated with the freshest ingredients, herbs, and spices. We stopped in yesterday to try their happy hour offerings. The restaurant is spacious and the tables are not too close to each other. The staff is attentive without being intrusive. We ordered the hummus, crispy brussel sprouts, fries, and prawn kebabs. Everything was tasty, well seasoned, and extremely fresh. Their happy hour wines by the glass were also decent.

Great food, fantastic event venue, and a wonderful ambiance! #Food #Place #Events #Ambiance

This is the second time I've visited Amoura and we were met with great service and food both times. The food is fresh and flavorful. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, although it was a bit loud since it was so full. But, I would still highly recommend.

Stopped in for dinner with a group and had made a reservation. It wasn't too busy when we arrived and got seated right away. Everyone was friendly and attentive and had great suggestions for food and drink. We tried the mezze sampler, avocado and carrot salad, Brussels sprouts, a variety of mains, and drinks. Drinks were well balanced. It was fun but different that their version of a French 75 kept the prosecco separate and could pour in yourself. The sampler board was great. Everything tasted delicious, loved the bread and dips, and good variety and portion. The lamb tagine was flavorful and tender and the rice that came with it had perfect texture and flavor. The branzino was cooked well and likes the pearled couscous as well. The Brussels sprouts and salad were also good and would recommend everything we had. Portions were definitely filling and everything was fresh. Glad we checked this place out and was good for a group.

I came here for a weekday lunch with 2 coworkers and loved the food and ambiance. First of all, there's a parking lot to the side of the place which is always a great way to start off lunch! As it was our first time here, we decided to get a mezze platter and the mixed grill plates to share and try everything. - mezze platter - a very good variety of appetizers. This contained pita with hummus, babaghanoush, 2 falafels, tabouleh and sides of tahini, hot sauce, and tzatziki sauce. Falafels were my favorite since they were super crispy! Everything else was good but standard. I'd recommend! - mixed grill - seasoned rice with one kebab each of chicken, lamb, and kefta, with a small side salad. All the meats were perfectly charred while still being juicy and succulent. We were all very happy with this dish. My favorite was the lamb kebab which had this mint cilantro sauce on top. - desserts - baklava with ice cream - pretty good. Their baklava is on the sweeter side especially with the extra drizzle of honey they add for plating. - date cake with caramel and pistachio (we had chocolate sauce on the side) - I surprisingly liked this better than their baklava. The texture of the cake was soft and moist because of the dates, but you don't taste an overwhelming date flavor (which I don't care for). Glad we asked for the chocolate sauce on the side because it was too sweet and not necessary. Overall, great food, convenient location, and friendly service. We're already planning our next lunch here!

Found Amoura while searching for a new restaurant to try. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful decor, great food and good service. We enjoyed every dish.

When I found it, I wasn't sure it was even open. There was an area downstairs with other places that was apparently only open for lunch. Inside it felt like an office building. Lots of seating. Not a ton of people on a Tuesday night. But upstairs sat this wonderful little restaurant. I sat at the bar. So hungry. There were few other folks at the bar as well. I got the cream of asparagus soup, the house salad, and the salmon. They were all phenomenal. Truly. Fresh and unique all around. The bartender was super knowledgeable about different wines, liquors and ultimately pairings. If you are near this area for any reason, you really should try and make it here. It's beautiful. There is seating of all kinds. The lighting is great. Lots of lush plants.

F O O D For appetizers, we ordered the salmon ceviche and the prosciutto croquettes. We also ordered the spring salad and the steak frites to share. The salmon ceviche was too fishy for both our tastes so we did not finish it. It was quite off putting. The prosciutto croquettes were delicious, a light crunch before getting the warm savory inside flavors. The spring salad was a surprising blend of little gem, grilled asparagus, grilled broccolini, sugar snap peas, strawberry, fennel, and fava beans which I initially thought was too many textures and sizes going on, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was my favorite dish of the evening! Now the reason this review isn't a perfect 5 stars is due to the steak frites. Steak and fries are a classic staple in any high caliber kitchen. We asked for medium well steak but it looked and chewed like a well done steak. The fries were lacking, not sure if salt or more crunch was needed, maybe both. The accompanying louvre sauce was tasteless too. Overall, I definitely would return! I saw the dessert menu once had a lavender crème brûlée so someday I would love to try that!

Seems like several of these food courts are popping up in the area, however, since there aren't that many restaurants in the biotech district. The group has already successfully launched several other spots nearby in the Oyster Point/East Grand Ave area such as Foundry & Lux and another new market hall concept with more Italian food called Riposo. Anyway, building has cool, modern architecture with plenty of parking and they serve a variety of different foods ranging from sandwiches and salads to Korean, American or Mexican cuisine. I went with the double stack smash burger and it was pretty good. The meat was moist and tasty but it was a little soggy from the geneous sauteed onions and some sort of white sauce. Comes with fries that weren't bad, not as crispy as I'd like but not too greasy either. Got sort of crowded in the main seating area when I left around 12:30 but wasn't bad when i arrived at 11:45. Also they have good amount of outside seating, too, so I think you can bring pets. But this does cater to the workers in the area so didn't see any pets while I was there and the Market Hall is only open weekdays from 11-2.

South San Francisco is a stones throw from where we live and even though there are some solid casual spots, we don't find too many places in this area where you can get amazing food, craft cocktails, and this kind of ambiance. With that being said we were ecstatic to discover this hidden gem. It checks all the boxes!! We ordered the Caesar salad, pozole, burger & Fries, and beef tacos from the happy hour menu. Everything was so good and I am not just saying that! The Caesar salad came served with slices of avocado. Not traditional, but absolutely delicious and nicely dressed. The burger was beautiful and juicy and cooked to perfection. It came served with those french fries that have that extra layer of crispiness.on them. Truthfully we ordered so much food but the tacos were so good we got another order of them. I ordered a Paloma and it was the perfect drink to go with my tacos. This was our first and only time eating here, but this will definitely be a regular spot for us. I hope moving forward this place stays as wonderful as our experience was tonight. Overall, great experience. I liked the ambiance and food! I'll be back again soon! :)
