We stopped by the Hanger last week and saw the menu for Camber inside. When I saw the Fraisier on the menu I headed up the stairs immediately! It was almost 5 pm on a week night and there weren't too many people but they opted to seat us at a table close to reception that was inside the patio seating area so it had no view, I was annoyed but it happens. When I sat down, my husband commented he did not like the door to the patio blowing open, which it did twice in the first 30 seconds of us being seated, and the cold gusts of air. Then, also within the first minute of being seated, a child at the next table immediately started screaming and running around in circles. I stood up and didn't even have to say anything, but made eye contact with a gentleman who I believe was a manager and he moved us right away. There was plenty of seating in the main area and honestly we should never have been seated in that terrible spot in the first place. After being seated, I looked at the menus we were given and realized they did not match the menu at the bottom of the steps on display. I asked the server, who said they had just changed their menu. I inquired if he meant like in the last 5 minutes and he said it was a day or two prior. I explained that the only reason I came up was to try the dessert and asked if they still had any of the ingredients or if they could make it for me and without checking, he said no. That was disappointing. We were already there so we proceeded to order. We had the artichoke dip to start, I ordered the Ratatouille and my husband had the Camburger. The dip was made with blue cheese. It was creamy and flavorful. Too flavorful for my husband actually and the few pieces of pita they give with it are not even close to enough, so I ended up eating some with a spoon, which no one enjoys. The burger was not cooked as requested. He asked for medium well but it was very medium rare. It was a bit bland but the textures were good. The fries were not as crispy as we would have liked but they were edible and I tried using a few of them for the dip. The food was very average overall with the exception of the Ratatouille. This was the highlight of our visit by far. 10/10. Highly recommend. The veggies were roasted and cooked to perfection with good seasoning and the puree was not super, smooth but had a good amount of texture and flavor as well. The presentation was also lovely. The decor was nice and the ambiance could have been good but it was incredibly loud inside during my visit. There was a group of 10 or so people drinking and being loud and the bar area was noisy too. This is definitely a place one comes for drinks and a small bite in order to consume more drinks and not really a place to stop and eat. If not for the ratatouille, this would have easily been a one or two star review, especially since I noticed as we left that no one bothered to change the display menu to the current menu they are using after it had been brought to their attention. What is the point of me doing something like that if not to save others from my poor experience? They could definitely have done better but I would be lying if I said I would not return for that ratatouille.

Come for: steak frites, amazing butter and bread Know that: parking lot available, seating is find your own - try to get the patio What a hidden gem for South San Francisco! Passing by, you would never imagine this French spot in the middle of biotech land. The place is fairly casual though expect to see most patrons after 4 pm in business casual coming to happy hour after work. You can take any seat you find. I recommend the patio. For the food, I had 3 dishes: Butter board (4/5): this was great. The board comes with firebrand sourdough paired with a cultured butter that tastes almost cheesy, a sun-dried tomato butter that tastes somewhat sweet and tart, and a caramelized onion butter which was the best of the bunch. All were fantastic and bread was excellent. Only complaint was they needed to give more bread (extra is $4) Steak frites (4.5/5): incredibly tender steak with bold beefy flavor. It came with a flavorful au poivre demi glace which was flavorful and delicious as well. The pommes frites (fries) were a bit disappointing - pretty soggy and not crispy but big on potato flavor. It also came with beans which honestly were not necessary. Peach tarte tatin (5/5): very balanced dessert. The peach tarte tatin came with a fragrant vanilla bean ice cream and a caramel sauce that was the star. The caramel was not too sweet and added a wonderful slight bitterness to contrast the sweet. Our server Connor was excellent. Knowledgable, friendly, and sharp. He recommended every dish we ordered and not one missed. Overall, I'm very happy South San Francisco has Camber and look forward to going back to try some of their cocktails in the future. Great food, great service.

Visited on a Friday around 6pm with a friend, restaurant is upstairs in the hanger space. On my visit there were a handful of other guests with plenty of seating through out the space, decided to grab seats at the bar. Drinks: Pomegranate Margaritas - a special that evening - a bit on the sweet side with subtle pomegranate notes, wished this had more acidity and pomegranate flavor Food: Mushroom Croquettes - cames with 3 pieces, nice and crispy exterior with a creamy savory center, subtle mushroom, aioli had a mild kick Grilled avocado and quinoa salad - pretty good, lots of avocado which came with nice grill marks, dressing was well balanced, a slight lemon note didn't pick up a ton of cilantro, quinoa made this a pretty hearty salad Grilled octopus - very good, octopus was perfectly cooked with a nice char from the grill , chimmichuri paired nicely, herby not to oily with a hint of spice, the preserved lemon really tied this together adding pops of salty acidity Steak frites - it was a special of the evening - cut of meat wasn't very good had quite a lot of grissle, steak was underseasoned the Béarnaise sauce helped a bit which was creamy with a bit of tarragon, fries were thin cut but a little soggy would skip this Pavlova - pretty good, crispy meringue cup filled with a berry sorbet topped with whipped cream and fresh berries, a nice sweet treat to end the meal light but satisfying Service was solid, but at times a bit slow. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Took a little while to get drinks and entrees out and water refills were slow but eventually came. A bit of a mixed experience, beautiful spacious restaurant with a stunning bar. The small plates and salad were all excellent, maybe stick with the mainstays on the menu and wait to explore the specials.

This is an absolute hidden gem for the following reasons: - Gorgeous views - Endless parking - No reservations needed and they have enough seating to accommodate walk-ins - Got 3 apps, both desserts, a glass of wine - all stellar - The servers are kind, attentive, and give you enough space and time to have a lovely time

I would give this a 5 star review even though i did just come here to read a book and have an appetizer of fries. The server Eugene was great and very attentive. Will give a full review when i come in for the drinks and entrees. All in all, i mainly liked it for the decor and ambiance, it's very open and gives a lot of natural light. The entire building really is a good place to lounge.

The little tech city I never knew existed in SSF. Camber is the cutest bar that is part of Hangar. Tried the paper plane Which drew me in with aperol and the duck descent which was def a stronger richer drink. Both were great! Our server was the best! There were techies everywhere!! Ha! Great place for after work drinks to chill! Def be back when I'm in the area.

This place is a hidden gem. I want to gate keep this so badly cause the ambiance is beautiful and spacious. The food is amazing with delicious drinks and the service staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. It's great to come for happy hour. Will come back again!

The food looked very exquisite and taste delicious we had the hanger steak, quinoa avocado salad, grilled artichoke, Hamachi tartare and the cheese & char. They were all prepared and presented very well. Our server Connor was fantastic. Thanks for helping us take pictures. The atmosphere is great. The area was clean and had nice bar. We had brought in a cake that my friend made and the chef cut the cake into fours and presented it very nicely on four plates. I love the out door patio.

Food was delicious and service was great. I never had gin before and the bartender Eugene was nice enough to let me try it. He also explain the different types of gin and I also got to try the Japanese gin. It's a nice place hidden in an office building.

Pretty much every dish is delicious and well presented (except the presentation of the house salad ). The dessert is way more delicious! The crust is so crispy and the taste is just right (that's essential!) Not too sweet but the caramel and the roasted chestnuts are perfectly added. Menus get updated every couple months, according to their handsome waiters. Definitely be back.

Good food court style lunch spot on south side of 101 in SSF that's more upscale than your regular cafeteria but not as comfy as dining in a typical restaurant. Seems like several of these food courts are popping up in the area, however, since there aren't that many restaurants in the biotech district. The group has already successfully launched several other spots nearby in the Oyster Point/East Grand Ave area such as Foundry & Lux and another new market hall concept with more Italian food called Riposo. Anyway, building has cool, modern architecture with plenty of parking and they serve a variety of different foods ranging from sandwiches and salads to Korean, American or Mexican cuisine. I went with the double stack smash burger and it was pretty good. The meat was moist and tasty but it was a little soggy from the geneous sauteed onions and some sort of white sauce. Comes with fries that weren't bad, not as crispy as I'd like but not too greasy either. Got sort of crowded in the main seating area when I left around 12:30 but wasn't bad when i arrived at 11:45. Also they have good amount of outside seating, too, so I think you can bring pets. But this does cater to the workers in the area so didn't see any pets while I was there and the Market Hall is only open weekdays from 11-2.

With that being said we were ecstatic to discover this hidden gem. It checks all the boxes!! We ordered the Caesar salad, pozole, burger & Fries, and beef tacos from the happy hour menu. Everything was so good and I am not just saying that! The Caesar salad came served with slices of avocado. Not traditional, but absolutely delicious and nicely dressed. The burger was beautiful and juicy and cooked to perfection. It came served with those french fries that have that extra layer of crispiness.on them.
