I've been here before, but this was my first time back since the remodel and they did an amazing job. The whole place feels fresh, modern, and much more welcoming while still keeping the great atmosphere that made us come back in the first place. I ordered the lamb shank and it was incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My wife and kids shared the double kebab platter and everything came out fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. We also got the cauliflower and halloumi cheese rolls, and both were excellent. The halloumi rolls especially were a standout. The staff was friendly, attentive, and the service was smooth from start to finish. You can tell they really care about both the food and the customer experience. Definitely one of the best remodel transformations I've seen and we'll absolutely be back again.

My friend ordered us takeout and I got the chicken shwarma wrap and added the hummus dip! It was really good! I just wished they added more of the pickle inside. It also came with some spicy sauce and white sauce. And I used all of the sauces include the hummus. If you like more flavor, I would suggest to order an extra drip on the side. It was very filling. I'm giving a 4 star instead of a 5 because it was very oily. The oil dripped through the box and onto the counter. If you're eating this on your lap, the oil may drip through onto you as well. Other than that, I would definitely eat here again!

Updating my review of my last visit. Mazra isn't ready for prime time. Give them time to work out the kinks. What I said in my recent t 5-star still stands. It was for dining-in. What they got wrong during the same visit was the to-go order that I placed at the counter. I wasn't able to process a to-go order on tbeir site. They got my to-go order wrong 3 times while I was there. The 1st mistake was serving me one of my 5 items on a plate at the table. We had just finished dining-in. The redo of the to-go shorted me 3 things. Even tbe waiter thought the bag was missing part of the order. I got a polite bums rush from an owner when I got the food to-go the 3rd time. Assuming they got it right. I left without checking the bag. Got home and one item was missing. Plus, falafel were burnt. It was the straw that broke the camels back. Hence, this part 2 review. I'll go back. Hopefully, they'll work out the kinks. I don't see the crowds dying down. Glad they finally reopened.

First time. Help yourself to the to-go items and serve yourself for plates, napkins and silverware. Good variety on the menu. Flavorful, hearty portions. Casual setting. Definite must visit. time. Casual vibe. Help me yourself to the dishes

I absolutely love Mazra! Halloumi is my favorite, so the halloumi wrap is a must for me. You can add on fries, which are delicious, and garlic sauce is also available as an add-on (it comes standard with the plates). The plates are a ton of food (basically two meals) so they're probably the best value on the menu. Both the wraps and plates come with a spicy red sauce, which is equally delicious. The service is incredibly fast too. You can order via QR code or walk up to place your order in person. They also have a self-serve station for packing your food and grabbing complimentary tea! They're halal, so no alcohol is served, but you're welcome to bring your own beer or wine. There's no corkage fee, which is rare and such a nice benefit. The staff is so friendly and the ambiance is beautiful!

The shawarma fries are loaded with a lot of toppings, and extremely worth it for $16. The half rotisserie chicken could have been juicier, but still tasty regardless. They give generous portion of each food item

This spot lives up to the hype. The plates are beautiful and delicious. The hummus, tzatziki, and toum dips are super flavorful. The pita bread is piping hot and fresh. The shawarma loaded fries are so loaded with meat, sauce, and condiments. Must try-shawarma chicken, kofta kabobs, roast potatoes, and hummus.

Perfection. You can't fault anything. I've been waiting for them to reopen and it was definitely worth the wait! The new remodel is stunning - it felt like Scottsdale vibes I tried the Halloumi Cheese Roll appetizer and loved. My go to order is the Chicken Shawarma Plate that comes with your choice of two sides and pita bread. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and grilled. The delightful smell of the grill that you smell when you are walking in? You can actually taste it in the meat!! The rice is amazing and I can never get enough of the garlic toum and hot sauce that it comes with. The problem is picking the sides! I love the Arabic salad, tabbouleh, which both add such a refreshing taste to the plate but I also love the hummus for the pita that it comes with and the tzatziki is a must. The fries are also so crispy and good!! The price is so decent for the amount you get - one plate usually equals 2-3 meals for me. Their system is genius. You can order through a QR code when you get to your table and they have everything you need on the side (water, complimentary tea, utensils and take-out supplies) but they also have servers walking around checking in and taking your plates so it doesn't feel like a completely self-serve experience. Love love love Mazra - so happy it's open again!

I've been eagerly waiting to visit the San Bruno location, and finally, my chance arrived! It was quite busy, so we parked down the street-which was no problem at all, since I knew I'd be walking off the big meal I was about to enjoy. The hostesses were fantastic, seating us down immediately. We ordered through the Toast App, and I chose the Garlic Rotisserie Chicken with rice, salad, and cucumber dip. -Everything arrived beautifully prepared, though I didn't get to try the cucumber dip because my dining companion preferred it over their hummus--a perfect trade, since the hummus was also superb. My daughter went for the Chicken Shawarma plate, and she was so enamored with her meal that she nearly finished the whole thing, despite eating like a bird. Clearly, she devoured her food. The remodel is beautiful and very cozy.

I really like the cleanliness and atmosphere of the restaurant. It's definitely a nicer looking establishment. I came on a Wednesday night around 7 pm and there was about a 30 minute wait for a table of two. They provide warm tea while you wait, which is nice because it's usually cold and windy in San Bruno. You place your order with a QR code and they have several areas where you can get water and utensils yourself. It's a bit hard to flag someone down but not impossible. The food was good and I'd come back.

Delicious food, and VERY good service. Their salads and dips will satisfy the vegetable enjoyers in your group - but the meat dishes really shine. Looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu. Oh the tea is excellent!!! Do not skip!

San Bruno has sorely needed a place like this! Free hot spiced tea while you wait, coupled with all the Mediterranean options you can handle! Very veggie friendly and delicious. Make sure to try out their signature drinks as well! Great for friend dinners, corporate events, or date night.

Have been wanting to come here for a long time, we have done take out twice in the past and the food has been great so I assumed it would be amazing in person. Every time we've driven by it's been so busy and we can only ever seem to scrounge up five people so we can't make a reservation. Finally decided to give it a go tonight, seemed not as busy as as I've ever seen it but pretty busy. Got in line around 6:15 (although I had wanted to be there earlier...) estimated wait time 30, most of the times those apps are inaccurate so I assumed 45. Not sure if the restaurant can adjust the toast tab estimated wait time but you might want to look into that. Took almost an hour and 5 minutes to get seated which again that was our choice... We had our order ready so we placed it immediately via the QR code. Waiter approached us and asked us to move to accommodate a larger party, we were moved to a larger table but hindsight being 2020 we should have grabbed our table marker. Maybe the server thought we had just sat down and hadnt placed an order yet otherwise he probably would have moved it with us. What ensued was an hour of back and forth with servers and managers trying to get our food to us. We had one lady bring us our apps first, we saw her approach the table next to us put the food down, the people at the table waved it away we flagged her down she walked away but then came right back and we told her what had happened she said she would fix it. The next round of food comes goes to the table next to us, they start dropping the food onto the table, we flag them down and let them know that's our food. 30 minutes in we've received one appetizer and one main dish and one salad but not the other main dish and none of the other side that come with the dishes. 15 minutes later another hot platter comes out, this one also goes to the other table. The people say no that's not our food and even though my partner and I are waving and talking lously at the waiter, he takes it back and walks back to the line. At this point I stand up and go to speak to the waiter/expo, and explain that it's been almost an hour and we haven't received our food due to mix up with the tables. He asked me to show my order which I go back to the table to get, and when I turn around Farzi (sp?) is waiting for me, and seems to be understanding what had happened. Over the next 5 to 10 minutes he manages to run back and forth to the kitchen and get all of our food out to us which while appreciated, has been 30 minutes since our first dish arrived which was now half eaten and cold. Had we left it there I would have left with a poor taste in my mouth, but Farzi return several times to drop off extra drinks desserts and appetizers and was very apologetic and continued to check in on us. I have worked in restaurants and food service for 25 years, I know that sometimes s*** just hits the fan and things are busy and nobody talks to each other like they should. Crap happens All things considered I think everybody did the best that they could and I did appreciate the floor manager doing what he could to make things right. I haven't mentioned the food up to this point only because there's literally not a single criticism all the food is amazing this is some of the best Mediterranean food in the Bay Area we knew this before we came here and it was even better in person. Either get six people to come with you or be prepared for a long wait, and remember if you are asked to move tables just take your table QR code with you. My only very very minor criticism is my god your customers are super f****** annoying. Everybody stands where they need to not be standing, everybody parks in your delivery only parking spots. Nobody reads your very clearly written signs about which line is which. There was a woman in her car with her family just sitting in the delivery only spot, probably waiting for a table because they never left the car for 45 minutes. Once we were seated there were two different groups of five or six people who came by and tried to take photos next to us while we were trying to eat. Like I get that it's a pretty interior but, do you really need to jam your butt up against the table of another party just to take a photo with some books and stuff in the background? Get over yourselves Appreciate you guys we will be back if we can find three to four other people to go with us.

When is the RWC location opening?

As of a couple days ago, they had a sign at the San Bruno location saying "2024." But since they previously said December of this year, I would guess January/February 2024 is likely?

Tabbouleh is indicated "GF" on their menu, but isn't Tabbouleh traditionally made with cracked wheat aka Bulgur? Does anyone know if they actually use a gluten free sub (ex. Millet or quinoa)?

Hi, I suggest contacting the restaurant directly to ensure you get the answer directly from them. Emphasize that you are on a gluten free diet. Enjoy!

    Yes!

Regarding the family packs, are they enough for five ppl? Is the deluxe one bigger? Also, are food in general spicy?

Regarding the family pack it all depends how you eat and if they are all adults. For sure 4 adults will be satisfied. It's a little bigger. Not spicy and amazing food :)

Let's start with the service. Our server was incredibly attentive from the moment we walked in. We were handed menus and then asked if we preferred still or sparkling waters - we opted for the latter. Next, he politely made some recommendations to the more popular items on the lunch menu. We went with his suggestions and he did not disappoint! For two people, we shared the following two items: * MEZZE PLATTER - hummus, babaghanouge, falafel, tabbouleh, and pita ($19) * BEET SALAD - roasted heirloom beets, carrots, goat cheese, honey thyme vinaigrette ($18) For our entrees, we had the following: * BEEF SHAWARMA WRAP - lettuce, sumac onion, pickles, tahini sauce, mixed greens ($19) * ROASTED SALMON - pacific salmon, turmeric rice, grilled broccolini ($29) Food was absolutely incredible. Fresh ingredients, simple preparation, Mediterranean fusion, and assembled thoughtfully without compromising nutrition. I am a fan. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with an inviting style for large groups, intimate fireside chats, or bar seating. They even have a pretty neat happy hour menu that I hope to check out one day. All in all, this is a top fav in South City. Looking forward to a future dining experience here!

Easy parking in a large open lot, so no problems with finding a space. When we arrived, there was only one table available right at the door. We sat down, but it was pretty chilly. We couldn't shut the door because the waiter needed to serve a table outside. We were hoping for a table to open up before getting our entrees. Luckily, a table left and we could sit away from the wind. So much better! I think they should have smaller tables for 2, so it could either be for 2 or put 2 tables together to accommodate 4.
