The place was handsomely designed and the staff was upbeat, but the ice cream was nearly inedible. I had salted dark chocolate which was like frozen ocean water. The salt overpowered any other flavors struggling to come through. I love salted dark chocolate with moments of salt crystals between the sweet bitter chocolate, but in this mix chocolate never had a chance. My girlfriend had the "Raw Deal", which was over-stuffed with large cubes of cookie dough sweet enough for a whole batch of cookies. We could only eat a single piece before our palettes were overwhelmed. She got it in a rainbow cone which had the taste of cheap perfume. Not exactly sure what they were going for, but it was somehow reminiscent of a Prince song at a karaoke jam. I'm entirely confused about how this place has such a strong following. Next time we'll skip the line and get literally any other ice cream. read more

The line was long but moved at a decent pace. I sampled both the Strawberries/Cream and the Ooey Gooey Cake and chose the latter. A fitting name: the ice cream was smooth but the gobs of tasty butter cake within made this a chewy delight. I've never had to chew my way through ice cream before but it was very good. This received mixed reviews from our group. I however really liked it, although it gave me an extreme sugar high immediately after and I crashed 30 minutes later. The munchies- pretzels, m&ms , potato chips, and who the fuck knows what else- was delightful. I am afraid to find out how many calories though. While the vanilla + Peanut butter flakes was the winner of the night. I got a Small with two scoops and that was probably twice as much as I needed. One of the best ice cream places ever! They have pretty awesome flavors. I had a double scoop on a cone - nonna's oatmeal cookie on the top and snap, mallow, pop on the bottom! SO DELICIOUS & FLAVORFUL! They definitely do not skimp on the ice cream because I had to ask for a bowl to make sure it didn't topple over. Nonna's oatmeal cookie had huge chunks of oatmeal in it and the snap, crackle, pop had the perfect amount of sweetness to it (plus the rice krispies were surprisingly still crunchy). The staff is super friendly and patient when I wanted to try half the flavors! Must try more of the flavors next time I come here. You won't want to miss out on this place! read more

I've heard so many great things about this place and i just found it to be okay. My friend and i split an ice cream flight. The flight comes with 6 scoops of ice cream so we tried 3 each. The flavors we tried were the Rice Krispie one, the munchies and we asked for the ooey gooey but got served some cookie dough one instead. I've been wanting to go here for quite some time now to see what the hype is all about. Finally, I decided to go on a snowy Saturday evening around 10:15. It was surprisingly not as empty as I thought it would be and there was even still a line, but it went pretty fast. It's overwhelming trying to figure out what flavors to try but the good thing is that they allow you to try whichever you want. I decided to get nonna d's oatmeal lace and the raw deal. The oatmeal one was good but wound up being a little too sweet after having the whole scoop. I really loved the raw deal, though. I loved the environment and feel of the ice cream shop and I will definitely be coming back to try more of their crazy flavors! read more

(For five minutes, anybody can enter here and forget that a megalomaniacal lunatic has 'the codes' and is a tweet away from picking a geopolitical fight he shouldn't.) As much as I wanted to try the other flavors, I ultimately went with something tried and true: dark chocolate. (It's like when you order pad thai at a Thai restaurant. Like, come on. There's this whole menu here.) I kind of felt lame until I ate the stuff. It's super-rich and delicious, plus really filling. I would estimate that one spoonful of the stuff here equals like three elsewhere in terms of how powerful and filling it is. You could probably get away with a kids size, to be honest, unless you're a sugar freak like me. (I can't bring ice cream home, else it's all gone within a couple hours. That's how bad it is.) Super delish spot for ice cream. I went here Saturday with a large crowd, and it was obvious the staff were a little stressed but they were working super hard and being friendly. Any flavor of ice cream here is super to be delicious! Did just want to point out- I got a pour over coffee here that was super tasty, but unfortunately the bottom inch or so was filled with grounds.
