Unfortunately, because of a time zone issue in their booking system, the appointment was apparently entered as 12:00 PM instead. I use Square regularly in NYC and have never experienced this kind of confusion before. What made the situation especially frustrating was the complete lack of accommodation or understanding when I arrived. I was simply told the issue was noted somewhere on the website, but if this is a known problem, it should be made extremely clear and impossible to miss -- especially for out-of-town clients visiting Napa. They also stated they called me around noon, but I never received a phone call or missed call notification. The experience felt disappointing and unprofessional from start to finish. Napa is known for hospitality and customer service, and sadly this business did not reflect that at all. I hope they improve both their booking communication and their willingness to work with customers when issues like this happen.

I have only just begun using yelp and find it so useful. I have been going to Amplify Salon for some time now, but I have had Melissa as my hairstylist for the last seven years, yes 7 years. She has seen me through my childrens weddings, and has cut and colored my hair since the beginning of our relationship. I get compliments on my color every where I go, in fact I was at a ball game and the two women behind me were commenting on the amazing color of my hair and that it was no dye job, and I had to tell them that yes, indeed it was. Go Melissa. Melissa is now helping me go from dark brown to my natural color of grey. I work in the public sector and did not want to look like a skunk for the next year. She listened to me, we batted around different ideas and I am SO PLEASED, with the process. I cant believe I still get compliments on the color of my hair. I have had my hair done by Johanna for over a year now. I come to her every single time I need something done, touched up, or even just to have a great conversation! She is extremely friendly, kind-hearted, very professional and can help you with any and all your hair needs. I have always been skeptical of getting my hair done by anyone due to horrible experiences in the past, but let me tell you, Johanna gets what you need and she does it the way you want it. Most of the time I don't even have to tell her details, just a color and a trim and she knows exactly what I need. I recommend her to anyone and everyone. Her portfolio is available upon request so you can see some of the beautiful styles and colors she has created for her clients. With Johanna you'll keep her your main stylist for a lifetime. I love this salon and all of the stylists I have met thus far! Marie Wilhelm made me a gorgeous blonde in only 3 appointments and my hair has never felt so healthy ever! She is beautiful inside and out and strives to have you leaving feeling beautiful and satisfied. I also would recommend Rocio who helped with my hair at an appointment as well as Courtney! Both ladies are very polite and always make me feel at home when I am at the salon. Also, my 6yo daughter and 3yo son get their hair done by Marie and she is so patient with both of them. Got called to put on a major show in New York and had to get my hair done fast. Called Melissa and was able to get an appointment within a week. Melissa did beautiful blond highlights and cleaned up my bob. I was especially happy with her professionalism because I have been trying to grow my hair for the summer and while I wanted a professional business woman haircut I didn't want to sabotage my summer hair growth. Kevin has been doing my cut/color for almost 20 years and his styles are just as new and fresh now as they were back then. He is an amazing hair colorist! BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!!! Owner is PSYCHOTIC!!!! I wanted to make an appointment time and time again before I encountered her wrath, but no one EVER called back! She then CUSSED at me when I asked her for her name as I couldn't believe she owns a business with such AWFUL customer service!!! You're better off going to great clips than to this place!
