You know what, this was the coolest gas station on my trip down to LA because they had the holy grail of Spicy Keto Snacks, the Flaming Hot Pork Rinds and the Ghost pepper almonds. I almost thought they were just a myth until I seen them on the fully stocked shelves here. Aside from keto snacks, they have so many fun looking options of snacks, its more than a basic AMPM. Gas was a good prices for me and the restroom was just okay. Which is fine. I bought a coffee and it was also just okay, which again, is fine for the gas station. I don't go to AMPM often, but when I do, it's this particular location along the 5. Not only does this convenience store have your regular convenience stores goodies like ice cold water and freeze (their version of the icee), this one also sells an assortment of ornaments and knives (see pictures). I am a fan because: 1. They sell Blue Shop Towel Rolls and these are hard to find outside Home Depot or Walmart. Not a bad price at $2.79 a roll especially in this type of place. 2. When you're driving down the 5, the tendency is to get gas in the bigger towns rather than the middle-of-nowhere gas stations since they tend to charge way more per gallon. But that was not the case at this Arco (Number 42924) which is technically in Bakersfield, I guess, although you'd never know it: the only other business around was a competitor gas station that charged (I kid you not) more than a dollar more per gallon than Arco! Stop here instead, folks: -reasonable prices for gasoline -clean restrooms -lots of drinks and snacks Plus there was an awesome taco truck in the parking lot. Win, win! read more

Yes I am actually giving a gas station 5 stars. When you drive off the freeway in need of gas and a pit stop, you only expect the worse. Well! Pleasantly surprised that I could use a credit card, the prices were all fair AND clean restrooms! If I could give zero stars I would. I stopped to buy a few snacks for our drive home as well as take my 6yr old daughter to the bathroom. These people looked at me stupid when I ask about toilet seat covers. They stated they don't have any. I also noticed they had zero seat cover holders in any of the bathroom stales. One would think in a day and age where people are running around wearing mask outside you would think they would have an essential item in the already disgusting restrooms. read more

Updated for grammar due to posting in a hurry. I came to this Arco to purchase a backwood, ( I know I shouldn't, I'm quitting) I asked the gentlemen at the register and he had no idea what I was referring to when when asked for a "backwood". I had to repeat myself about 7 times. And repeatedly had to say "no" over and over when he was pointing to the wrong products. Finally he gets he pack and I ask him if I can touch it to make sure it's not stale. The gentleman looks at me like I'm crazy, but still hands it to me. I check and it feels very crunchy and stale, so I ask him for another. He then tells me no, I stated "I'm paying over $7 so I would like to see the other pack" The gentlemen finally went back and grabbed another with attitude. Stopped for Diesel last evening 9/23/2021. Billboard said price was $2.09. Lower than the other stations at the exit. BUT got to the pump it was $2.19. to tired to turn around on the busy street and go back. Filled up 14 + gallons. Problem number 2, had to go into the store the AM/PM part to get the receipt. Known scam to get customers to by their overpriced snacks. Asked the clerk for the receipt, a little snarky, she asked how much I had paid, said around $65, she said no $62. I asked why the billboard price was 10 cents lower than the pump price. She claimed the "day people" must not have change the price on the billboard. Pretty lame excuse, blaming someone not there for the companies screwup. read more

I paid for 5 gallons of gas and only received 4 1/2 gallons... these pumps start and stop to cheat you out of your gas. Absolutely not worth the price, because they will short you on gasoline here, check your receipts you will notice they're advertised price per gallon does not match the amount of gasoline you receive. Great stop off the freeway, especially driving for couple of hours on I-5. Stopped here several times for a break and they have a great selection on beverages with great prices. I bought several snacks for the road with no issues really. My most recent visit though, I had some concerns as the place was infiltrated by flies, a lot of them. They were everywhere, including the bathrooms. I never seen them before on previous visits and don't know if this is a rare occurrence but it didn't look like the problem was being resolved. I'm sure to visit again and hopefully the issue is fixed because it is a nice stop with friendly staff in a dearly needed location. read more

Me and my co driver took a shower here and the towels literally smelled like urine on both of our shower rooms. I had to literally call and request some new ones. Make sure to check if the towels are clean before waiting until you get out of the shower. read more

Excellent snacks & bathrooms!!! They have aisles & aisles of snack selections. Had to use facilities badly & the cleanliness & customer service was an oasis. Glad we waited a little longer & drove a smidge further to avoid the crowds. read more

Absolutely the most horrible customer service! First they do not greet you upon entry because they are to busy talking to one another. We proceed to the restroom and go to the cat scale counter where the man walks up and looks at us stupid and says "yeah, what?" We say that we needed our cat ticket. He proceeds to grab it off of the printer and throw it across the counter at us. Keep in mind the entire conversation was "yeah, what?" No thank you! We won't be back! We will travel out of our way to scale! I am reporting this to CAT as well because they are going to lose money! If you doing your job, is a problem...MAYBE YOU SHOULD QUIT! Or even better...maybe the company should terminate said employees. Far too many "poor customer service" reviews on this page. At first I was gonna leave a nice review because the grass outside was so well manicured and we were able to walk our dogs out there. Then I went inside to get a coffee and some things and I'm a friendly person the Young lady at the front looked very angry annoyed and almost this interested in her job. I figured maybe the woman before me gave her a hard time or something because the transaction took a while. Well she had the same face on when it was my turn and I was trying to be friendly. She gave me a snotty looked and told me the price of my transaction and I said OK and as I was pulling out my credit card she said it again I said I heard you. She rolled her eyes and I told her that she should still be friendly whether or not she likes her job that is not very nice. I would not recommend this place. I know it's in a perfect spot if you are traveling but if they hire people like that I would rather go somewhere else. read more

Wow, what a super clean FREE restrooms, plus Showers rooms. Everything in this store is very clean and organized. Gas price is competitive to the one next to it. Many gas stations as well so no lines. Great store. read more

We were on a girls road trip enroute to Mendocino County from San Diego. Naturally, this was our second stop for gas and bathroom breaks! My girlfriends and I were surprised and super impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom as well as the clean and neat product displays throughout the store. Presentation is key anywhere you go and this place gave us a good feeling thereby uplifting our spirits just how clean and well maintained the store and bathrooms are. The employees were extremely nice, friendly and helpful! They even carried my favorite Ben & Jerry's Banana Split Ice Cream Pint that is difficult to find in grocery stores! My only issue was that the check out register was way to the right of the store and I felt it should be more conveniently located in the middle or closer to where the food is as opposed to its current location by the clothes for sale. Not a big deal but not easy to find if coming from the front main middle entrance. Nonetheless, the well neatly stocked shelves, variety of food, genuinely nice and friendly service, and cleanliness of the bathroom and store deserve 5 stars for a job well done! read more
