I have never done a yelp preview for a gas station however, I was pretty blown away by the customer service I got at this ampm location! I love getting a late night coffee and one of my favorite parts is covering it and whip cream. While I preparing my coffee at the coffee station, I noticed that the whip cream was out. I wasn't going to make any mention of it, but the cashier noticed probably how disappointed I looked that they whipped cream was out and quickly came over and let me know he would replace it right away. I was incredibly impressed by the customer service of this ampm location and will make this my new go to spot. read more

I have been coming to this place for years now. Unfortunately the gas is only about three cents cheaper than across the street. And once they charge you $.35 to use your ATM card it's not even really worth it. There were five how much dudes hanging around out front when was completely inebriated. I told the employee and he acted like he didn't know what I was saying. Well let me be totally clear with you - Until you clean them encampment up I'm not coming back! Guadalupe has the WORST customer service, EVER!. She is like the real life Bon Qui Qui! I pre-purchased gas to fill my tank. I've been filling a car there for over 10 years!!! The usual, $40 on pump 9 to one cashier. When I got to my pump it wouldn't work. Went back in and explained to Guadalupe that I had prepaid and the pump wasn't working she acted like I hadn't given any cash. I got frustrated and she accused me of being angry. Wish I would have checked yelp before coming here. I bought the ultimate car wash $14 (cleans outside only) "powerful" "ultimate clean" "turbo wash" "pressure wash" etc. My car was last washed about 2 weeks ago, it hasn't been raining, it's a Lincoln sedan, no off-roading and this car wash didn't clean it for shit, I had to scrub spots afterward myself with the squeegy. When I asked if I can go thru for a quick rinse since I had to scrub it and now there was water spots down it they said no, my car must have been too dirty, and sometimes has to go thru twice and I have to pay. I used to get gas here, but that ended when I rode my bike in one day to get air and the guy behind the cashier refused to hook me up with some air for my tires. My front tire was very low and I didn't have change for the machine (air and water used to be free at gas stations, now they charge from .25 to .75 cents). Most gas station attendants are cool and will give it to you for free if you ask. The guy who worked here was totally stingy and wouldn't push the damn button. So I have to run errands at weird times..like after 10:00pm at night..but I was needing gas on the way home last night..and wasn't sure what gas stations were open past 10:00..but I figured I would try this one first, since it's on my way home. This was a nice trip to the area and I needed gas and to use the restroom. This was a pretty good location the bathrooms were relatively clean and the store was well-maintained. The issue was the parking lot as it was very busy and I did not have enough parking spots. Additionally, set of the lighting was out. Gas stations are pretty much all the same, so this one is not really different than most that you will ever find. But if you are in the area I need gas this is a fine one to go to. Just make sure that you go During a time when it is less busy or you may not find parking that you may need in the parking lot. I would definitely return because it's just a gas station and basically all gas stations are the same unless you have a really bad interaction. Also the staff is really nice and helpful. read more

This is more of a rating for the owner, a 50-60 year old lady, heavy set, and with fake blonde hair. I could tell she was the owner since she was wearing a tracksuit(lol!) with a matching hat and counting the drawer she was at while she had her employees doing other things. I was there while she talked down to her employees and I feel bad that they have to work for a lady like that. I guess I appreciate the honesty, but it's a pretty jerk move. If I were the owner/manager, I'd look for an entirely new night crew (he's not the only one that works there, that does this on a nightly basis), because I'm sure I'm not the only one who had decided to NEVER spend another penny there. I'd just filled up my tank from empty, too. It wasn't like I was some drunk or a vagrant who's probably going to trash the place. It's an Arco, so make sure you have cash or debit. I use the car wash regularly and am usually happy. Today it left some bird droppings behind and the manager made sure that I left with a clean car. About 5 month ago in the month of April 2014 I went into the store with my brother to get some snacks for a road trip . I'm 19 and my brother is 16 and the cashier was mad dogging us as soon a we went to get the snacks . No intention of shop lifting at all and ever , they stopped us and checked out pockets and found nothing . First off, they only accept debit which is annoying since using a credit card is not only safer if you are paying at the pump but my credit company actually gives cash back for gas purchases. The issue with this location is the Car Wash. When you pull up to the wash, it asks you for exact change or a car wash code. However, even though it presents the option for you to pay at the wash, there is no place to insert the cash at all! This is the first time I have ever gone to a machine wash that didn't have a place to insert any money. What happened was that my wife had to get out of the car and quickly run into the AM/PM to get the code and then, to top it all off, the code didn't work! We just decided to pull through the wash and forget about it so that we didn't hold up traffic. If your box doesn't have a place to insert money, it shouldn't be advertising "Exact Change". read more

I stopped at this gas station on Friday the 19th, I parked at pump #11 and proceed to put $10.00 cash into the machine then went back to pump my gas and nothing came out! I then went inside the store to let an employee know. They told me they could not do anything about it but would count the money on the following monday to check for overages. They never bother calling me on Monday and when I called them on Wednesday they told me there were no overages!! Needless to say I'm pissed, not because I loss a measly $10.00, but because who knows how many other people this has happened to. Every single time I stop here, the employees are super rude. A few weeks ago, my daughter had to use the restroom. They said they did not have one. What? A gas station always has a restroom. I asked the girl, "Well, where do you go then?" She said, "I don't have to answer you." Rude much? Went in on a Wed. Signs all over the pumps and hanging from the front of the store advertising $.25 freezes. Took the daughter and her friend in to get one only to be told they were out of cups for the freezes. I asked them why they were advertising them then and he told me, "because we have $.25 freezes." Um, no, you don't. When I said, "but you told me you are out of cups." He replied yes, but we have them. Ok......... Last night on my way home, I needed gas. I stopped in and noticed an old lady was lying on the ground, head covered in blood, a man holding her hand on the phone with 911. I jumped out to see if I could help. There was a HUGE pool of blood, she was bleeding bad. The only person helping her was this man who had seen her lying there. I ran in and asked for clean towels to stop the bleeding. The guy behind the counter was on his cell phone and not understanding me. I said again we needed clean towels, there was a lady bleeding real bad outside. He STILL did not understand me (Yes, I speak English, maybe that's why??) and still did not hang up his cell phone. I ran back outside and luckily had a towel in my car, which we used. He came out a few minutes later with a handful of napkins?? WTF?? Napkins? Maye 10 of them? What the hell were we going to do with those? When I asked WHY he did not notice this women gushing blood in his gas bay, he had no idea. I asked about the cameras, saying he was too busy on his cell phone to notice I suppose. When I told him we obviously had it handled and did not need his 10 napkins, he was trying to apologize, but I told him I did not want to hear it. I ignored him. Useless. Every time I have ever had to deal with an employee in this building they are rude and disrespectful. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. They may have cheap gas (if you pay cash and don't get raped by the $. 35 charge to use your ATM. All these reviews are seriously ridiculous! This gas station is new, clean and so convenient when heading over to the beach. Definitely the cheapest gas in the area too. Friendly service and bathrooms that are actually available to customers (much harder to find these days than one would think). I'm not sure why there are negative reviews. I guess these may have been isolated incidents. This is a brand new (2014?) station/mini mart. The prices here are usually close to being the lowest in OC. This is an extremely high volume station because of the great prices. The car wash (when working), is great and very reasonably priced. As for the people working there including the manager, I have never had any problems with them. They are always friendly and take care of payments as quickly as possible. As I said before, this is a very busy station with a lot of pressure that goes with the job. I'm sure the pay scale is not that great. For what the employees have to put up with, I believe they do a great job. A little courtesy on our behaves does not cost us anything and goes a long way towards making this station work more efficiently. read more

If you go inside beware the rude cashiers; especially the two guys who work at night (Magdi and Mike). Also, if you swipe your card and hit the cash back button, Be SURE to wait for them to hand you your cash. A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE Be careful when handing cash over to cashiers, Paola and Blanca. Although Blanca correctly entered the amount of cash I prepaid to fill my tank, when I reentered the store to receive my cash back; Paola gave me 76% of the cash that the receipt stated that I should receive. Before turning around, I informed her that the change was wrong. Both attendants refused to do the math or read the receipt stating that the amount due to me was more than the change provided. After 5 minutes of debating the issue, I had to leave without the correct change because I had children in the car that was now exposed to sun. Their solution was that I should leave and they would have the manager figure it out later, seriously do they even know how to calculate simple subtraction, why do I need to leave without resolution and them calculating the transaction on a piece of paper or calculator. What if I lived out of town? . My solution was, maybe we should call the police, at which point they handed me some money, but still not the amount stated on the receipt. This amounts to THEFT. I was unfortunately late for an appointment and concerned about the employees obtaining my identification because shady people lead to shady retribution. The owner needs to reevaluate the honesty of their employees, PRONTO. I did not call the police because I think they have better things to do than calculate a simple transaction for clerks that are up to no good for a relatively small amount of money. That is not what my taxpayer dollars are for, but it is interesting that the employees must have been fully aware that they owed me additional funds and finally brought the amount down to a trival amount still due...and having heard that I was in a hurry and concerned about my children and requesting that they finalize my transaction by doing the math and giving the appropriate funds back. Who knows, maybe the clerk was hoping that after giving me the wrong cash back, that I would turn around walk a few steps and come back with my request for the correct change and that would have given her the opportunity to say that I was misstating the error,,, but I brought the error to her attention immediately while still facing her. I think they were embarrassed about their attempt to rip off a person whom they expected to be a "too busy" person, to notice their so called error. . After this experience, I will think twice before handing cash to a gas station attendant without receiving a receipt stating the amount they received. . Reading the previous complaint, I expect that I will never receive the funds due to me because the manager has been reported to be a problem too. The owner should install security cameras because this is a highly cash based business because ARCO stations charge an additonal fee if you use a credit card, which I assume leads the consumer to use cash more often than other stations. would love to be able to give this place more stars, but 4 out of 5 times I've stopped in to buy gas (BRAND NEW PLACE) -- I've had to go inside to get my receipt. Even with their new car wash (which I did try, but it wasn't as good as the car wash on Warner and Beach - this one left a lot of dirt and the rinse isn't spot free - and it costs more than the Warner/Beach wash) - but I digress. Before they remodeled and revamped, I stopped in for gas regularly -- good location, no problems. Since the remodel, I've had to lock up the car, go inside, wait in line and ask for my receipt 4 out of the 5 times I've given them a chance to fix it. After the first time (my first visit) I had to go inside for my receipt, but I figured they were new, so it was a fluke. Second visit -- had to lock up, go inside, wait in line for the receipt. Third time - same thing. 4th time -- finally -- the receipt printed out. Today -- 5th and FINAL visit -- had to lock up, go inside, wait in line for the receipt. I complained to them on the third visit - and this visit. I'm done with them. Will use the Arco on Beach and Adams. It's one thing if you want to buy stuff inside, but quite another if you're looking for convenience and speed when filling up on the way to or from work. Cannot stand it when a business doesn't pay attention to details like that and I won't support them. read more

Horrible customer service. They were too lazy to spend 10 seconds to put cones in front of a broken car wash which was running and had another car waiting. Only after 10 minutes did we realize it was non operational. They took more time arguing about my refund then it wpuld have taken to put cones put and close it while they were allegedly fixing it. I expressed displeasure at seeing the cones tucked right by the door... asked for his manager and then he started sgouting. they guy kept yelling and followed me to my car yelling more! I had to threaten to call the police to get him to back down so i could safely pull away. Cheap gas... but there is a reason. I hope if his manager would have been on site and saw his customer service he would have been severly counseled. Can you get good customer service anywhere anymore? Is it a dead art? read more
