The crew who painted walked us through everything they were going to do and were always careful of our trees, flowers, hot tub, etc. so that nothing got paint on it. Summer 2024, after delaying exterior house repairs and painting due to the pandemic, I searched lists of possible contractors in Snohomish County and north King County. Amsberry's Painting was among those highly rated by most past customers. There were some companies I had used before which back then had good recommendations. Prices were competitive for my delayed projects: house siding repairs; new gutters; exterior painting. In addition, replacement of a cedar fence with stain coating. Scheduling at minimum three contractors, during a summer which included unusually high temps and occasional storms, plus high demand in the market from others whose repairs and mtce. had been delayed by the pandemic, it became apparent to me coordination would be challenging! Plus getting approvals from the city and our homeowner association. Both were challenged by staff shortage and high demand. Amsberry's recommended companies for the new gutter replacement and the house siding repairs. The work was well done! Amsberry's Painting handled the scheduling, relieving me of that challenge. Recently, two panels of the new fence were damaged. I asked Amsberry's Painting if they could take on a small job. If not, then to recommend someone for the work. Amsberry's examined the damage and yesterday completed the work. Neighbors who had a front seat view of the damage stopped by today to compliment the work. Same neighbors who last year complimented the exterior painting which required careful trim work and the new fence. Chose Amsberry Painting to paint the entire interior of the new to us home that we are moving into. Not only were they able to fit our job into a busy summer schedule, the team put in extra hours as the home is empty and got the entire job finished in record time so we could meet our timeline on some other jobs before our move-in date. Marvin, Gabriel, and Albert were courteous, kind and happy for us to stop by any time to see the progress of the job. Juan was an excellent project manager and kept us updated as the project progressed. They also were very careful with our newly refinished wood flooring. I reached out to Amsberry Painting for an estimate for power-washing the house and painting the exterior trim (the house has vinyl siding, so that did not need to be painted). Brett came to the house. He was very pleasant and understood my request. I received the estimate. I had some clarifying questions particularly about washing the windows. He responded that the entire house would be power-washed. After signing the contract I was contacted about scheduling and told that it would be a few weeks out. I needed to get some tree work done, so that was not a problem. They called me to say that they had finished a job early and could they come tomorrow to power-wash, then paint two days later. It was rather sudden and I could have postponed, but wanted to get the work done while the weather was good, so agreed. I asked if I should remove the window screens and was told that it would be a good idea because they can be fragile. When the power-washing crew arrived I asked about the screens and they said they could wash them while they were off, but they did not ask about it later in the day and they were gone without doing that. Also, the windows were not particularly clean - I suppose if you want clean windows you need to hire someone who specializes in that task. The painters arrived at 8:00am two days later. It was a 3-4 man team and they got right to work and had the full job done by 4:00pm. We noticed a few issues, so contacted the project manager for a walk-through. This is a great service, so don't skip it. He came the next morning and sought to rectify the issues we had noticed himself. He was very pleasant. We have noticed a few other places of drips or brush marks, but most of those can be removed using rubbing alcohol. Overall, I think they did a good job and were fast. A good choice if time is a consideration. read more

The 4 day exterior paint job lasted almost a month. Communication is a huge problem with this company overall. I don't speak Spanish and the crew that arrived on day one didn't speak English. So no ability to communicate about daily progress. Although a PM was supposed to be available for the entire project, well... Two screen doors were damaged, back deck splattered with something, and our concrete driveway was gouged in two places. And overall just sloppy work. I took pics of before, during and after. Had a great experience with this company. They were super thorough from pressure washing to prepping to painting my house. The paint crew did a walk through before they packed up, and then the company followed up with another walk through before sending over my invoice. My yard was left a little bit messy, and it was easier for me to clean it up myself, but I have no doubt that someone would have come out to do it had I asked. Surprised, Disappointed and Concerned I contracted with Amsberry's Painting to paint my house. There were three things in my contract that Amsberry's Painting did not do: 1. Re-Caulk around all windows, doors, siding joints, and construction joints 2. Remove downspouts in order to paint behind; re-install after painting is complete. 3. Second coat to be applied by spray after first coat has had a FULL 4 hours to dry What they actually did: Surprise #1: They only re-caulked around parts of windows, doors, and siding joints that showed cracks in the old caulk. Surprise #2: They removed one of six downspouts. They do not remove nailed on downspouts, only screwed on downspouts. My downspouts are nailed on. Disappointed: I specifically requested a full 4 hour of dry time per the manufacturer's instructions on the paint I chose for my job. While this was in my contract and agreed to by Amsberry's Painting, they did not adhere to it. Will my paint job last? Will they honor a warranty if they did not honor my first contract? Concerned: The painters dumped paint water in my yard (see photo). We will not let our children play there until we figure out what to do about it. read more

They do a good job in preparation for the paint job and communicate well during the process. The paint job they did for me was great, but the customer service with the home office and, in particular the Project Manager Shannon, was awful! The crew arrived two hours late with no phone call or advance notice that they were going to be late. They covered every single door of my home with plastic, without telling me, and I wasn't sure if I could get out. The PM, Shannon, lied and said that he saw my dog on the lawn when in fact she was inside my home - blocked by plastic. It took at least five phone calls and multiple emails with the home office to discuss these issues and, as of this date, I am not satisfied with the outcome. read more

I have never written a review but feel strongly this warrants one. I accepted a bid from Amsberry Painting to paint part of the exterior on my home that has faded from the sun and a small interior bathroom. Painting day, the painters showed up with no paint to do the job and confused as to what they were actually doing. The owner, Jeff, asked me meet him at he paint store that is a 25-minute drive from my home, one-way, to pick up paint. Then told to me that the brown trim color was not included in the bid. Which was my sole purpose of having them bid the job and was clearly expressed to Trevor the estimator. Long story short, they left my home a mess. Did not complete any part of the job. My home has patches of primer on it, areas where the pressure washer took off paint. Removed part of my gutter, a piece of my house trim. Littered my property with a sign advertising their business. What professional painting company shows up with no paint to complete the job? Then ask the homeowner to go get paint for them! A very disappointed client. read more

Today I found the Amsberry Paint crew painting exterior trim on the front of my house that is exposed to the weather, WHILE IT WAS RAINING, with the owner ONSITE directing them. This occurred after I explicitly texted owner hours earlier warning of coming rain and indicating that they needed to stop painting. While some of the work crew are capable and conscientious, project management and time management is horrible. My project has already run twice as long as it was suposed to, and it's still not done. Company is understaffed, won't work weekends to make up time lost to weather, and is not capable of meeting their commitments. Unless you want to babysit the job constantly and fight to get them to do the job right, I strongly suggest you look for a better company. read more
