Kids tried the kids meal today. Included shaved lamb/beef in a grilled pita with a side of curry fries for $7.50. The meat was shaved fresh and the fries dropped when ordered. Definitely made a difference. I thought the pita, which seemed to be grilled on a panini. Was too crisp. Would have just preferred a warm soft pita. The server was really nice and also made our order. You eat in the food court, so you could really sit anywhere. It was a little noisy with all the teenagers around. The meat is so flavorful and with the garlic chili and herb sauce you have the perfect blend of spices. The curry fries are also perfectly crispy with a mix of ketchup and mayo. I've been here numerous times and it serves consistent deliciousness every time. Service was fast and there was plenty of seating room in the dining hall on a Saturday afternoon. It's good but definitely not the same quality as the original (non Flagship) location in Dundee. Also holy cabbage. We accidentally ordered this location off of GrubHub. It was a very smooth pick up. That's a plus if you use food delivery apps. I got spicy falafel for the first time. It was definitely spicy . I think next time I'll stick to the original and get the spicy sauce. read more

We had this one on our list to try. I had the Super Fry's and she had feta fries and a falafel sandwich (create your own) I must say, we were both very impressed. Tasty food, good price and very large portions. If the brick and mortar store is as good as the one in the mall... we will definitely be looking forward to going there. Going to Amsterdam is always a good experience for me. The service is quick and the food has yet to disappoint me. I usually get the falafel plate with hummus and curry fries on the side. Sometimes the curry seasoning is scant, but when I had it recently it was the perfect amount. The garlic and yogurt dressings combined make for a really fresh sauce over the falafel, and the hummus is fresh and tasty. In terms of location, I prefer the one in Dundee only because this one is in a mall food court so it's usually loud and busy, making for an interesting dining experience. I had a great salad at Amsterdam Falafel at the Westroads Flagship Commons recently. They make it so simple to order with the three step process. First choose your style-- sandwich, salad, or plate with hummus. Then choose a falafel or doner kabob(beef and lamb) Then choose a sauce or two: garlic, herb or spicy. Once you've done that you can add extras like fries and hummus. I had a delicious salad with greens, veggies, falafel and garlic tahini sauce. The sauce is what made the salad. Since I can't find the tips section anywhere need to at least say that I like this location more than the dundee one bc this one offers the chicken gyro which the dundee does not. Otherwise both places have the delicious curry fries and falafel ! Also just found out they are closed today and have been for a bit. Thanks COVID! AFK is one of my favorite kabob falafel spots in town. This spot inside of flagship commons does not disappoint. The menu is simple an they make it to perfection. You've got falafel lamb beef mix an then chicken. All of which are absolutely amazing. I usually go w the combo beef chicken. Where they also nail it is the sauce which I highly recommend going with the garlic an herb sauces either gyro or salad are ridiculous good. The chickpeas and fresh ingredients make this place a easy five star.....and let me not forget to tell you about the curry fries; these bad boys are so good am seasoned to perfection. Amsterdam is a great place to eat, even if the style is more akin to fast food. My new favorite is the falafel plate, as I don't eat wheat products anymore. The hummus is tasty, as is the yogurt/tahini sauce. The curry fries are outstanding. My wife doesn't like the yogurt or the hummus, so I get those on the side and use the hummus for dipping. Tasty! For those who want that Mediterranean fix, this is your place! I usually get a bottle of water. They carry Fiji, which is one of my top three favorite brands.
