I literally planned a trip back to Miami to see my hair dresser, and for years I've been going to Philadelphia to see my childhood dentist. Being the daughter of a top Physician, I am that much more picky when it comes to medical care! This time, the impracticality of flying across the country lead me to try a new well reviewed dentist, Amy Do. Thank god I did! Amy not only provides expert care, she and her support staff are the SWEETEST! I not only felt like I was receiving top care, I felt like I was visiting a good friend. I was referred to Dr. Do through a family friend, and although she is a bit of a drive from San Jose. I'm glad I gave her a visit. I don't think I can say that I've ever enjoyed going to the dentist, but I can now say otherwise. Dr. Do and her staff are the friendliest and most easy going people I have ever met in this type of setting. The conversations we had while she was working on my teeth almost made me forget what I was actually there for. I left the office feeling so fresh and so clean so I'll definitely be back for my next cleaning. And a plus is that the office is just a short drive away from Capitola beach! I came in to have my teeth cleaned and checked. Dr Amy Do was very thorough to each tooth explaining the condition. The assistance was very detail oriented and gentle when she did the X-rays and tooth polishing. They have different "gum" flavors for me to select and it reminded me being a kid again. :-) They even have a special warm - hand moisturizer machine where your hands are being deep moisturized while waiting. The front desk person was also nice. The office equipped with a large saltwater fish tank and plenty of goodies. It felt nice and relax coming here instead of being nervous and scare. read more

Amy and her staff are wonderful. They have done excellent work for my husband and I and our 6 year old son. First, they are extremely friendly and make ever effort to provide comfort and ease. Additionally they explain all billing and service costs very well and we have never felt taken advantage of. Most importantly they went out of their way to make fillings which were super scary for my son, less scary and painful. In Santa Cruz it is hard to find a good pediatric dentist that is affordable. I completely recommend Amy's office for children. They have kid friendly dental supplies, toys, a cool fish tank and a sweet poodle named Yoga who will actually lay On your child's lap and was a big comfort to my son! They office staff led by Kris has helped deal with insurance and special appointment requests with such grace. Amy Do's office is a true gem in our community! read more

We went to see Dr Do and had a great visit. I like to have a dentist for the entire family and she was awesome with our two sons. No separate pediatric dentist needed. The exams weren't rushed and their teeth were well cared for. The boys are actually looking forward to come again. The office is clean and inviting, which is always a plus. Should we need cosmetic work I feel that she would do a great job as patient and detailed oriented as she is. read more

Wow I was blown away from what I expected at a dentist's office versus how exceptionally pleasant this office is. Beautiful lobby and very kind office staff. And Dr. Do is in no way the stereotypical dentist. She is very "normal" in my opinion. I felt very comfortable with her right away. I'm so happy with my experience with Dr. Do and her amazing staff, but even more so I'm thrilled with my teenage son's experience. We all know it's pretty hard to please a teenager, especially when it comes to seeing a dentist. As we arrived he even made several threats that he was going to bolt out the door before they called him, but upon leaving he was actually smiling and said, "that's the best dentist ever!" Everyone is super-friendly and helpful and the office is extremely welcoming. Of course the paraffin hand treatments are a wonderful touch, but I do have to say that Yoga, the therapeutic dog, probably stole the show! My daughter is actually excited for her visit next week. When it comes to dental work, I basically revert back to a five year old child. So when I had to get a broken tooth repaired I was absolutely terrified - shaking, tears, and all. Luckily, I found Dr. Do who did everything she could to make the process as comfortable as possible. Her bright, soothing, and confident demeanor put me at ease and I knew I was in good hands. She not only made sure I was as comfortable and relaxed as I could be, but was so fast that I was in and out of the office before I knew it. Additionally everyone working with her in the office is so kind and compassionate that I felt truly supported and taken care of. They even went to bat for me with insurance coverage to help me as much as they could. I highly recommend her to anyone needing any dental work or even just a routine cleaning. I had a great time at the dentist! How many people can say that? The dental care itself (cleaning, advice to improve teeth, etc.) is pretty normal, but this place offers free paraffin hand treatments and a dog who sits very calmly in your lap while the dentist is working on you. Everyone was very friendly and they gave me a reusable grocery bag with the dentist's name on the way out (and one for my carpool buddy, who recommended Dr. Do to me in the first place)! read more

I spent almost two years and numerous procedures correcting work I had don by this dentist. Run, don't walk, if she mentions implants!

I highly recommend Dr. Amy and her wonderful staff. It had been a few years since I had seen a dentist from previous dental experience that wasn't ideal. The thought of finding another dentist that wasn't wonderful kept me from going. But on a whim I thought to go to Dr. Amy and now it's like I've died and gone to dentist heaven! From the welcoming chic waiting area, to the kind and professional office staff (Cassandra is the sweetest assistant ever!!) it really is amazing how comfortable I felt at my recent cleaning and crown, even though that is hard to imagine! Due to family and life in general I haven't been able to establish good dental care/support. This was the first time that I have been in the office, everyone was extremely supportive and helpful.
