Came here to get my makeup done for a wedding that I was a bridesmaid in on 9/21/25. They opened the salon for us on a Sunday. The make up experience was amazing. Really lovely humans! I went in for a facial for the first time and it was simply heavenly. I tend to fear people touching be but Myriah made me feel super safe and had a really good flow in her work. My face felt soooooo soothed and there wasn't a moment that didn't feel amazing. I almost fell alseep! She also did a shoulder/arm and hand massage as well while I had red light therapy. First visit and I had my hair done by Nicole. She was correcting my color after a less-than-stellar job done previously. So she had a tough task. I have to say that my regular stylist stopped doing hair during COVID, so I've been searching for someone new that I could trust. I have found her. Nicole was able to get rid of the brassiness, and she cleaned up the cut. The highlights she created added dimension that was lacking from the last session at another salon. I'm really happy with it now and feel like I have finally found a salon I can make my regular spot. My hair felt healthy when she was done, which is important. She also gave me samples of the products she used and explained when I should use them. While there, I met Annie, the owner, who welcomed me to the salon. Mattie was at the front of the house, and she was great. She is the one who suggested I see Nicole, and her suggestion was perfect. Jessica is absolutely amazing and was able to get the general vibe of what I wanted from the pictures I brought in. She has an amazing ability to understand what I'm asking for, even though my words may not be clear or fully correct (I don't know all the lingo). Past her communication skills, her techniques were unmatched and she resurrected the brightness in my blonde while helping me get to a more "bronde" state by pulling lowlights through with a blend of two colors to best get my naturally red undertones hair to a nice, cool, light brown. I had never had an olaplex treatment before, even though I use a lot of their at home products. Jess explained it to me as she started the service and let me know how long I'd be sitting for and ensured I was comfortable. I had a wonderful first time and am so happy that I was able to book my next appointment with her 8 weeks out. She does have a lot of happy clients to schedule, so I'll be sure to book my next appointment while checking out each time. Anna is also super awesome! She came over to me and introduced herself as the owner and hyped me up for the "after" pictures during the Instagram photo shoot. She gave me some advise on how to best maintain my hair while giving me some samples and information rather than trying to sell products. Anna at Faust in Scotts Valley is a true artist. After an unsuccessful bridal makeup trial with another salon, a friend recommended I go see Anna. I have a very fair complexion and strawberry blond hair so I was looking for someone who could create a glamorous look without making me appear painted or mannequin-like. I was having an outdoor boho wedding and wasn't going for the "Mac look." Anna sat down with me and listened carefully to what I wanted. She reassured me that she could alter anything I wanted if it wasn't to my taste. She gave me individual false lashes (which stayed on throughout my honeymoon!), a dewey complexion with foundation and perfectly applied lipstick. Beautiful! And the makeup lasted throughout my entire wedding day! I was so impressed with this salon that I have gone back for more eyelashes, a fab blow out and next up a facial with Susan. Every time I feel pampered and like it's a "high end" experience. So refreshing for Santa Cruz! The only thing I wish was different is the name.
