We had a takeout order placed. We live about an hour away. We had to wait an hour and twenty minutes. Had been told to pick it up in 35 minutes. We returned home and opened the boxes. I had a shrimp dish which in other restaurants features very large shrimp. These were very small salad shrimp about half the size of a dime. Same with the shrimp in the Lo Mein. The wonton soup was in shreds. the meat floating in the broth. The egg rolls were over fried and also very small in size. The steamed dumplings were stuffed into a pint box on a bed of cabbage, with zero taste. The fried rice was half white rice and half fried rice. It had not been mixed together well. The Hot and Sour soup was okay. All for the very expensive price of $70. Unfortunately, we will not return. read more

Friends and I were visiting snowshoe ski resort for several days and were heading back down south. We stopped at a nearby Walmart for few things and were hungry. Looking around at Yelp, we found this place. It had really good reviews, and we were curious how good this place would be. It's located right next to the Walmart in a strip mall. Seems like it's centrally located with a lot of other things. Walking in, there are lots of Chinese themed decorations. You walk up to the cash register and order food. The two people we've met at the restaurant (Chinese man and woman) are the owners. They've owned and operated this for quite a few years, which was a good sign. I asked for recommendations and got Hunan beef lunch special. It comes with fried rice, choice of protein, and egg roll or soup. It took about 15 to 20 minutes to come out. First of all, the portions are huge. They packed so much in the takeout tray. The food was delicious too, not too greasy and didn't skimp out on any variety. However, the eggroll was pretty bare as it only contained cabbage. I'd recommend getting the soup instead. The beef that I got was pretty good, but the entrees that I've tried from my friends were really good as well. Honestly, pick something that you would like to eat because they're all gonna be good. Inside, the place is clean and nicely decorated. The owners were so nice and friendly that they gave each of us a calendar for 2020. If you want Chinese (or want to try something else other than typical fast food chains) in the area, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

These people are so nice here and friendly! The food is never greasy or overly oily to an excess. We do not go to a buffet in this County anymore as they've all gone down hill, are overpriced, monitored by employees & disgusting quality of food that hits the pan. Our family has now started coming here for takeout Chinese food and it's delicious and is seasoned well. The food is made to order when we call ahead and can park outfront the front door space on the side curb, it's convenient and they ensure our orders are correct. It's mostly because my conversations with my parents go like this: : Where do you want to eat? You can pick whatever place you want! I usually agree because I know it'll make em' happy since they prefer it to pretty much any other type of food, but my soul (tastebuds) long(s) for variety. That said, I found myself here this evening because the snowstorm clogged up 219 and Subway would probably have taken another 1/2 hour to get to, despite it not being all that far away. I've only ever heard good things about this place, and I can definitely see why. Service is super friendly (not typical of Asian establishments) and the food (Americanized Chinese food) is rather tasty. The lady is really nice, honest, and remembers her customers, which is pretty cool. The menu is categorized by type of meat or if you want something vegetarian, they have plenty of options too. They have lunch and dinner specials that come with your choice of entree along with either steamed or fried rice, and your choice of hot & sour soup, egg drop soup, or an eggroll. They give you a good amount of food too, so theoretically speaking, it could feed you for two meals. We love the food here. We live about an hour away, but make the stop at Silver Dragon when we are in the area. My wife and I went here for our first date out after COVID hit. It was take-out in the parking lot, but we enjoyed every bite. Always fresh, flavorful, and plentiful! To top it all off the people that run the place are always super nice. They treat you like they value your business and go out of their way to let that show in the products they put out and the way they interact with their customers. They could honestly offer classes on how to implement excellent customer service practices for other small business. They are that great! read more

When this place opened up I was there second customer ever. The only reason I wasn't the first is someone saw me coming and sprinted to beat me. All these years later if you ask me my preference of where to eat I will say Silver Dragon! The service is fast and friendly and the quality is good. Review on Bubble tea/Boba tea: Their variety bubble tea flavors are pretty good and they make it better than their relative's restaurant at China Palace. Your options are smoothie (creamy slushy) or iced. Both options are good, but I prefer almond bubble tea in the smoothie form. Okay, the food is good, and it's a treat when I get their shrimp egg foo yung (sp?). I wouldn't DARE eat at either of the other Chinese places in Lewisburg (uck). The food is TOTALLY delicious. That said, my boyfriend went to pick up the food one evening. They left out part of the order, so he went back to get what they left out. I mean, it happens. We live only 10 minutes away, so, no biggie, right? When he got back, I discovered we were STILL missing parts of the order (and yes, I was very angry with him for not checking the orders EITHER time he picked them up). The thing is, each order has at least two or three components...ie., fried noodles separate, rice separate, sauce separate, gravy separate, main meals separate...so I can sort of understand how hard it might be to get HUNDREDS of orders a night totally correct. That said, this HAD happened once before. Anyway, I went back (this is the THIRD trip, people) and was pretty angry, but not impolite. They had hired a "new" girl from GEHS and she was clearly freaking out. Which I understand. Busy Saturday night, new girl, etc. I told her what was wrong and yes, I was visibly and verbally miffed (but never yelling or rude) and ACTUALLY POINTED AT CONTAINERS ON THE BACK COUNTER THAT CLEARLY WENT WITH OUR ORDER. She told me not to be rude (!) and basically went ballistic on me. I asked for manager. She discovered I was right (that the THIRD part of our order was ice cold on the back counter) and had another girl pack up newer, more recently cooked food to replace it. The manager apologized and gave me a medium sized soda. I did not receive a discount or any other offers (oh, and they forgot to put in the requested chop sticks AND soy and duck sauces in any of the THREE bags we picked up). In the meantime, the new employee ducked into the back and I ACTUALLY HEARD HER COMPLAINING LOUDLY ABOUT ME. You know what? Fine. Every restaurant has a bad night, right? The food is good, the place is clean, the manager/owner is super-nice. So. I get home and we are sitting at the table and putting food on our plates. My cell phone rings. It is the owner/manager. She actually asks me IF I CALLED THE GIRL AT THE COUNTER A BITCH. This was her concern? And, no, I didn't. I am employed by the city of Lewisburg, WV. I do not call ANY locals at ANY job a name. Ever. She reiterated that the girl was crying and swearing up and down I "yelled" at her and called her a bitch. I reiterated, myself, that I did neither. She sounded harassed, confused, and upset (but obviously believed me). The thing is...you call a customer to ask if he or she was at fault after such incompetence? I had even told the manager/owner at the restaurant that I understood how crazy it must be for a new person on a very busy night. Oh, to answer the obvious question...no, we still did not get any comp or discount on food that night or for the future...which still blows my mind. Seriously. Yeah, we still go there. I didn't want anyone to spit in my food later so I didn't raise a fuss, but this was something I have NEVER experienced (and I've lived in several LARGE cities with WAY busier Chinese places than this!). I just wanted to share this with anyone who might dare show a little impatience with having to go back a second or third time because parts of his or her order were incorrect. read more
