LOWKIRKENLY one of the best thrift stores EVER!!! i simply love thrifts where it looks like…read moresomething from a horror movie and my allergies flair up, i mainly like this thrift cause they have a giant vinyl selection and it definitely took me at least 50 minutes going through all of it.

This business presents itself as charitable, but my experience showed otherwise…read more A suit belonging to my late uncle was accidentally donated here during a home clean-out. Once the mistake was discovered, I immediately contacted the store, explained the situation, and asked to recover the item. This is an exceptionally rare suit with historical significance. The Country Music Hall of Fame has expressed interest in preserving it. My intent was never resale or profit -- only preservation. One of the owners initially agreed to sell the suit back to me for $1,000, which I was ready to pay. That agreement was later canceled after others affiliated with the store became involved. The price was raised to $4,000. After they learned I was trying to raise funds to recover the suit, the price was increased again -- this time to $20,000. Despite acknowledging the donation was a mistake, the situation was treated strictly as a revenue opportunity. There was no compassion, no effort to correct the error -- only escalating prices. If you donate or shop here, understand this is not a charitable organization in practice. Items are resold for maximum profit, including through affiliated resellers who split proceeds with the store. I'm sharing this so the public can make informed decisions about where they donate and who they support.

OK Goodwill you can do better! I'm not talking about the staff, which by the way work HARD (5+…read morestars), and they put up with a lot of greedy people who want to jump the gun to run to a new bin to look at dirty clothes. Trust me, there is enough clothing that you don't have to fight over. There are times the Haitian women absolutely "hoard" a new bin, they pick up armfuls upon armfuls and put it in their cart and look it over when "they have time". They are the ones when the shoes come out, they position themselves so no one can even look. I digress. My biggest beef is NO AIR CONDITIONING! Come on guys! This is Florida, its June and it's HOT. Yesterday it was 91* outside and everyone was sweating in this very HOT warehouse, as it was 89* inside! Those poor employees! I spend money 2 times a week at this Goodwill. Any where's from $30 up to $80, and I just about left because of the heat. This store is bringing in thousands upon thousand's of dollars a day....and yet you cannot fix the air? I also hope to God that you are paying your employees " top dollar", they are hard workers and I appreciate their effort's and I tell them so! CHECK THIS ARTICLE OUT: THIS MAKES YOU WONDER! In 2016, an investigation by the Omaha World-Herald found that executives managing its local Goodwill stores received salaries of up to $400,000 with its CEO, Frank McGree, also collecting a 2014 bonus of $519,000--while over 100 of his store workers were paid less than minimum wage. The investigation found that 14 executives (including the CEO's daughter) were paid more than $100,000, while only $557,000 of the enterprise's $4,000,000 revenue went to "programs" for the disabled. Yep, life is not fair.......but come on............
