I usually don't get my lashes done in NJ. I always found it difficult to find a good place that is cost effective and has good quality. Also, I had to take a break on lash extensions because I've recently been diagnosed with mild blepharitis so it made me even more picky about who I want around my eyes. I was recommended of this place by my sister, shes mentioned good things about them and I was willing to give them a try. When I walked into Angels Dream they immediately greeted me at the front door. I explained to Crystal, the technician, that would be doing my extensions about my condition and she was super understanding! She did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable. She asked me the kind of look I was going for and I just wanted something simple & natural. Crystal was aware that I am not a newbie to lash extensions. Yet she still explained step by step each move she was making around my eyes. After an hour and a half I couldn't believe how flawless she made my lashes look! Goodbye long trips into the city!! Amazing! Angels Dream is worth all the hype. I contacted Angie (owner) for eyelash extensions and prayed she had last minute availability. I was flying back to NJ from LA and I was desperate for some TLC before heading back to work. I lucked out and she came to my apartment at 730AM on the dot and was nothing short of a professional and a sweetheart. She did my lashes on my couch while I was in my pajamas. Can you ask for better service than that? Also, she is a perfectionist- she wasn't done with my lashes until she was personally satisfied. She is an owner who truly takes pride in her work. This is my go to spot, especially because they are so accommodating of my late evening schedule. The owner, Angel is the sweetest person, and beautiful, I would like to add. I got mimosas and hugs from her on my first ever visit to her salon! She treats her customers with a kind, gentle and knowledgeable approach, helping guide them towards the look that works for them. I don't understand the horrible review from that lady bride who is a make up artist. After seeing how Angie interacts with her clients, I would take the bad review with a cup of salt (not just a grain!). I've been coming to Angie for eyelash extensions for almost 3 years now & I wouldn't go anywhere else! I love the quality of her work and lashes for such an affordable price. Angie always takes a couple minutes in the beginning of your appointment to ask your expectations and the look you want to achieve. She always creates a relaxed environment & takes her time on her work. As someone who is super sensitive, my skin/ eyes never reacted negatively to any of the products Angie uses. The biggest nightmare a bride can have is your makeup artist and hairstylist not showing up on your wedding day. As most of you know I am a makeup artist and I do weddings all the time, and I have never stood up a bride on her wedding day. I should have known this was not going to end good when on the day of the trial she was in a "car accident" but not hurt while I was driving over an hour to go see her on 08/19/2016. She had to reschedule the appointment with me. Angelica comes to my house on 8/25/2016 and does hair and makeup. It took her about 2 hours. I was half pleased with her work and told her what else I wanted and I hired her. I also drove her to the venue where I would be getting married, to make her feel more comfortable the day of. NEVER EVER trust a makeup artist or hairstylist who doesn't want to do a contract with you. That is the first sign that this person is not professional. When I asked her for a contract she said she never does contracts, and she never has a problem. I told her from one makeup artist to another this is unwise and I need a contract in order to work with her, and she said OK. I also invited her back to my house on 09/16/2016 for the dinner rehearsal so she could meet the bridal party, which she didn't show up to. I sent Angelica Luciano all of the names of the people in my bridal party who need hair and makeup done. On my birthday 9/13/2016, I get a text saying she sent me the contract, I never received it. On 9/15/2016 I texted her to tell I still never received the contract, and she said she will email it again. Till this day I never received a contract from her. She never showed up to my wedding and I ended up doing my own makeup with help from one of my bridesmaids. It turned into a total nightmare. If it wasn't for Marlene Hinds (bridesmaid) Jessica Rodriquez (bridesmaid) and my (maid of honor) Maritza Petrie for making the impossible possible my day would have been ruined. I say all of this because if I was not a makeup artist I don't know what I would have done on my wedding day. Her excuses are ridiculous and I don't want this to happen to any other bride on her wedding day. I texted her the night before and called her several times and received no response until around 11:00 am telling me she was out to 5:00 am in the morning knowing she had a responsibility to be at the venue at 9:30 am on the day of my wedding. She also has a very unprofessional way of speaking and I let her know that was not acceptable in my home or around me. The first time I came to this salon I had an appointment for eyelash extensions with the owner. She came in late and then told me she had to go to a wedding and left. I was told to come back at 9PM and a younger girl did my lashes, she did an amazing job BUT I was not happy about how the owner handled the situation. The next time I came back I spent SEVEN hours there because the newly-licensed beautician could not figure out why my hair was not picking up the color. Once again, the owners response was to leave us in the salon alone at night because she had to meet her boyfriend, and left someone with no experience by herself to figure out why my roots kept coming out orange. Went to Angel for a spray tan after finding her Instagram page...not only was she able to squeeze me in last minute before my vacation but my husband got called to work and I had to take my 4 yo with me.
