I wanted this to be my new nail spot but it was weird upon arrival and ended even more strangely. I called on a Saturday afternoon and asked when a good time would be for a gel manicure, the lady on the phone told me a time so I thought I had made an appointment with someone specific. When I arrived, a few minutes early, I said my name and that I had an appointment and the women (who I spoke with on the phone) flew up from getting her nails done and hurried me into the chair. When I asked the nail tech if she was the girl I made the appointment with she said no, that lady was next to us and had just began a man's manicure. That's strange, she could have easily just taken me at the time of my appointment but whatever. The nail tech (Jennifer) was lovely and did an excellent job. The ambiance was lovely and I really wanted this to be my new nail salon but at the end of my service the woman that I spoke to on the phone rung me up and charged me $40.56. When I asked about it the woman said that's the price. I know other people who go there who have never been charged tax or had to pay change for their service and NEVER in my life, as a prof. I had been going here for years but will not return. The last time despite an appointment for both a mani and pedicure I was put in water to soak my feet and just left there for a half hour. The technicians were overbooked and services were rushed. My manicure and pedicure are mediocre at best - and for us to spend over $100 seems like a waste of money. I can still push around my polish - and I dried for over 45 minutes! Needless to say I won't be coming back -- I don't even feel like I got an actual manicure. Super sweet service. Now a days if you go get your nails or hair done the salons can't be packed so the technicians have to work fast and still manage to give the salon experience we are all craving. That is very difficult to do. The atmosphere here is very soothing. I saw a man getting a pedicure with his eyes closed and enjoying his me time. The owner was juggling walkins, phone calls/appointments, and doing my nails. She took the time to explain my choices give me a beautiful look and suggest a third coat for my line of work. Save your money and go elsewhere. I visited this salon twice for dip services. First time my nails lasted less than a week before they all started chipping in different areas. Second time they didn't apply the sealing solution and I didn't notice. Had to go back within 48hrs. Terrible experience. I've been going to this nail salon for a year but being a repeat, loyal customer doesn't seem to matter to the owner Lee, who was very rude during my visit today. All the employees are very kind but the owner started my manicure and told me to "concentrate" while I was speaking with my niece who came with me and was also getting her nails done. I asked her to fix the polish but that upset her because she didn't have the time, so I asked her to take the polish off and asked for a refund. She kept muttering under her breath and took the polish off, didn't bother trying to make the situation better or fix the polish as I had asked. If you like being treated well when you're paying for a service, don't support Lee's French Nail Salon because clearly the owner is too busy to be patient or accommodating to her customers. read more

Hate to say it, but I'm officially done with this place. I've been going there for years, even stuck it out through a change of ownership and new nail techs all the time. However, ever since Covid it has not been the same. I understand being understaffed because of the circumstances of the pandemic but then figure your business out. Stop taking walk-ins. When you take appointments, stick to them. I ask them what time I should come, they tell me the time that supposedly works for them, I arrive on time and then I sit there for 45 minutes like a clown waiting to be taken. It's turned into a joke. I've watched so many people be told to "come back in 20 minutes" only to come back and still sit there. I've seen them tell people to head to the pedicure chair to make it seem like they will be taken soon only to sit there with their feet in the water for an hour waiting. The last time I was there for a pedicure and fill/gel, it took 3 hours!! I used to let it slide but it's constant now and I can't devote that much time to a nail appointment. The other downside is when you finally DO get taken, the pressure from all the other customers waiting causes the staff to rush. I've had bubbles in my polish, nails that are filed crooked, skipped steps (can't remember the last time they actually cut my cuticles down) because they are rushing. It's unfortunate and upsetting because I do like the place as a whole but the service has just tanked. The 3 hour appointment was the last straw and I've officially switched to a new place. read more

I have been searching for a good nail salon for some time now. This place has everything (almost!) That I've been looking for. Cleanliness, great customer service, beautiful decor, and parking. It's not as inexpensive as other places I've been to, but you get what you pay for plus more. They really cater to you here. And they never rush even when it's close to closing time. This place really sucks. I have minimal experience with nail salons in suburbs, but have found that many of them are not good. This is no exception. I got a manicure and eyebrow waxing, both with the same woman. She did not know how to file nails properly (they were jagged, sharp, and all different sizes), and did not know how to wax properly to shape my brows (which are somewhat thick and pretty easy to shape). My manicure, which was a sheer color, looked pretty bad. I selected the color mostly because it seemed the least old out of the collection of really old nail polishes. Disappointed... The facility is nice and the staff seems pleasant but the actual service was not what I expected from this place considering the location and atmosphere. I went in for a pedicure but I might as well have asked them to just paint my toe nails (although that didn't go well either). My feet are rougher than when I walked in, if that's even possible. Yes the pedicure process was nice, they do somewhat of a stone massage but I am not satisfied with the condition of my feet after this service. I have been going to this place on and off for several years. Pedicure only wo I can't comment on manicure. Its clean which is super important. There seems to be a fairly high turn over of manicurists but I think that is routine for the 1000+ salons in NJ. The girls talk amongst themselves in Spanish, like the episode of Seinfeld when they were speaking Korean. If only my Spanish were better, I think it would make the pedicure way more interesting...They give a nice paraffin heel treatment. Unfortunately this time the girl told me that I should have the extra treatment for my callouses. I know what they are and I don't have any-just some mildly dry skin on heels. It was "only" an extra $10. Since regular pedi is 20, I said I would pass. She looked a little miffed. Too bad. I don't like to have to negotiate a price on a pedi especially for a service that I didn't need. I will probably go back, but if they try that again it will be the last time. read more

When you walk in it's very CLEAN, what caught my eye was how the foot tubs ( for pedicure's) have liners in them and they throw them away after EACH use. I am a long time customer of Lee's Nails. I am usually pleased with the services I receive at Lee French Nails. Last week I came in the store to get a manicure & my lip waxed. When I got home I noticed there was still a line of hair right above my lip. So, when I went in today, I again asked for a manicure & to have my lip waxed. I paid my bill before my nails were polished. It was $12 for the manicure & $5 for the lip. When I went the waxing room, I explained to the young lady that I had just had my lip done, but needed a retouch. She was very pleasant & offered to clean up my eyebrows & remove a hair from my chin. Since my bill was all paid, I went to dry my nails. I was shocked when I learned I now owed $22 more dollars. I thought the little extra fussing was to make-up for having to have a service performed twice. I was told by the owner that even though a charge wasn't mentioned, I should have known that I would be charged because, she needs to make money!! I went from feeling nicely taken care of to feeling like I was tricked out of $22 dollars. I explained how I felt, & because I am a regular customer, offered to split the difference with her, & pay $11. I stated that this was a silly thing to loose a long time customer for, & she restated that I owed $22. I paid my last bill at Lee French Nails!!! I am still shocked & upset by this scam. If I was being charged more than the bill I already paid, I should have been told before the service was performed. So, CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!! read more
