I've gone here twice to get eye lash extensions. The first time my appointment was with Tasha and I absolutely loved them. My eyelashes are naturally very straight and actually go downwards a bit. She curled them a lot and they stayed that way for over a month. The second time I came my appointment was with Stephanie and the curling or extension was so minimal that I still had to use an eye lash curler. I would definitely come back, but only make appointments with Tasha in the future. read more

I went here for a lash lift and tint. My tech, Diana, was lovely. She asked if I had this service before. She walked me through the process since I've only done extensions in the past. I knew that my lashes wouldn't be glamorous but I also didn't think that after the service the results would look as if I had slept on them. I had looked at other photos prior to booking and the results looked great for a lift. I understand my lashes aren't as long as the photographed ladies but at very least I expected to walk out of there hinting that I had something done. Only a couple of my lashes curled and the others kinda look the same. I'm hoping after 24hrs when I use mascara they'll be better but I'm also concerned that the few that actually lifted will drop and this will be the worst $100 spent. Making an appointment online was easy and they sent a call & text reminder the day before. Since I'm still new to the whole lash world, my lash technician, Joy, walked me through the curl shapes and lengths. Since I was going for a fuller but natural look, I went with her recommendations. Overall, they came out really well! It took a little less than 90 mins as expected but this is definitely longer than my first experience (at a different lash salon). I realize I also tried to redeem the free collagen lip mask (Yelp check-in offer) but they never gave it to me (I think they forgot). They did give me some post-lash care freebies (lash brushes and cleanser) to use after. I recently moved to the area and was interested in getting a Lash Lift after a two year hiatus. I booked my appointment online, and the location was conveniently located off of Bloomfield so it was easy to get to. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't great for a few reasons: 1. The studio is dated, doesn't seem the cleanest. When I was shown my lashes at the end of my service, the mirror I was handed desperately needed Windex. 2. My specialist didn't explain anything she was doing during the service (granted, I didn't ask for a run-down of what she was doing) but I like it when the specialist at least offers to explain the different products and outline of what exactly she's doing to my lashes. 3. There was no explanation of after care, which I feel is CRITICAL for lash lifts. I simply got "you're all set" (not even a thank you for coming in). She never introduced herself, nor walked me out (maybe I'm just old school with customer service). 4. Last, when I went to give a tip, the front desk didn't have change...so I had to tip more than I wanted to. How a lash bar doesn't have change is beyond me... Overall, not an impressive experience. Had high hopes for this place because of all the good reviews and was even referred here by my sister and a friend. After a phone call I thought the service would be top notch. I walked in and the girl at the front desk was on the phone, I understand attending your customers but you could at least smile and acknowledge a customer walking through the door. So now onto my lashes...left eye was perfect. Then my tech received a text (I assume because my eyes were closed) and I hear her say she needs to leave because of an issue with her child. Again I can understand a personal emergency but my right eye still hasn't recovered. I had more glue than usual leak into my eye and 3 weeks later my lashes are all gone on that side when my left eye still has some lashes left. Not to mention they are still slightly irritated/sensitive. Price point is my reason why I may come back again...possibly with a different tech or something. I wanted to love this. Really, I did. But two weeks after my first-ever lash lift and tint at Lure, I cannot recommend this service. Day 1: while my lashes certainly looked like extensions just after completion, after leaving, I could see that many were clumped uncomfortably together by leftover adhesive residue and tint. I used a spoolie (unsuccessfully), then tried to carefully comb them to separate, and lost a handful of lashes in the process. Not ideal, but I could live with that. Day 7: My lashes were starting to droop a bit and I felt like I was losing more than usual from gentle washing, which I get (hey, I chose to chemically treat my lashes)... Day 10: ... but then I realize that there is actually *significant* breakage and the start of some bald patches toward the inner corners of my eyes. This is not good. I have been gentle with my lashes as recommended, not using harsh eye products or waterproof mascara and continuing to nourish them with my usual serum. It's not a dramatic loss, but absolutely noticeable and definitely not what I wanted. I've read conflicting information about how long each formulation should be applied (Lure had the curl and the fix for about 15m each), so I can't be certain that that was the cause, but the effect is clearly undesirable. I'm hoping that they will replenish over time, but I will sadly not be returning here (or probably ever getting this kind of service again). read more

This is more like a wholesale version of lash application. There is no privacy as you are lying in a room with about 7 other beds of women having lashes applied. Cattle drove feeling aside, the lashes appeared just as expected: Naturally Noticeable. I had gotten several compliments on the lashes. Yes there was shedding after my initial face wash the night of application. Lashes shed about every other day but it didn't impact the look. They lasted a little over 2 weeks. Though my lashes didn't have the best retention this time, it was better and I think that maybe my issues were because I was getting a previous job filled and I have watery eyes. I think my lash obsession may be on it's way out... It's hard in business. You want to serve your customers, but you take on the residual issues of the last professional they dealt with. They can not/ should not turn away people that are coming in with legacy lashes but know that you may find a hard time with your lashes until the previous ones fall out. That really depends on the quality of your previous job not Lure Lash. I would recommend getting a new set with Lure Lash. Ive gone to Joi and now Carmella and they both did a good job. I have been getting lashes for over a year now and I came to this place because it had mostly good reviews. My experience at the actual eye lash salon was fine, when my technician was finished i was a little disappointed as i paid 150 and my lashes looked extremely natural which I said i wanted them more glamorous. After leaving the salon within 3 days at least 50 percent of my lashes fell out. This has never happened to me before and I feel as if i wasted my money. i had an appt scheduled for a 2 week fill, but canceled it because i don't want the same result to happen if i go back to this place. i am extremely disappointed in the service of this place and expected a lot more. I don't know where to begin with this review. I like to see myself as a loyal customer because I don't go anywhere else for lashes( since 2015). It took two months to get an appointment because that's how fast they book up. I couldn't get Ana because she only works one day in the Montclair location and my other girl quit/fire idk. So I wasn't happy about using someone else , but I know all the women are great and professionals. So I got JESSICA unfortunately, she was so rude extremely. Yanking my head , snatching the fan out of my hand when I told her something was burning. I had to come in 3 times for them to fix what she had done. they had to remove all the lashes the ones that were still in place anyway. then a second visit to put them back on. Mind you I P A I D my money never got an apology , never got anything off the service for them being an inconvenience to me. I've referred so many people to this establishment. But they get so much business that my complaint doesn't matter if 10 more women are coming in. My boyfriend was so pissed because it was so pissed because he knows I spend good money to come here and for them to just sweep it under the rug like nothing happened was annoying. I went to this establishment before going on my first trip in a year and a half. It was my first time getting lashes done. I wanted the allure, but the technician told me she'd do the classic? Ok. I'm not one to speak up, so my fault there. I was a little underwhelmed with the results. However, it was definitely an improvement from my regular lashes. I was told not to get them wet for 48 hours. Not only did I wait 48 hours, I didn't get them wet the entire time I was away. Five days later I returned I had one lash left. That was too much money for me to spend to make it worth it. They told me I'd have to come back in 2 weeks to replace what fell out. Customer for Life! :) I can't believe I have not reviewed Lure Lash and I have been a customer with them for over a year (maybe even closer to 2!). Before I found Lure Lash, I had been to many lash places in the City and even was going to a regular independent lash girl in Piscataway. She was getting hard to schedule and pricey. The other places that I had randomly gone to in the past, had bad glue - my lashes would fall out fast. Or if they lasted a couple weeks, the lashes were then getting crunchy and irritating in my eye. I was searching on the internet for a place that was more accommodating and then found Lure Lash. I have to say I've never been dedicated to one place for so long. Carmela is my girl. I usually go to her but have gone to others as well. They have Sundays open in Montclair which is convenient for me. Their lashes look amazingly natural, but gorgeous (never irritating or crunchy). I get compliments all the time and I barely have to wear any makeup. I can't not have my fill (which I do every 2-3 weeks). For those that complain about fall out, in reality, your natural lashes fall and cycle out, so depending on when that happens you will occasionally have that happen. Keep that in mind. They have locations in Montclair, Metuchen and now Madison so you can't go wrong depending on where you live. Highly recommend them as I am an extremely happy client! read more

My actual rating would be closer to a 3.5 and here is why. 1. Poor front reception communication. I called Lure Lash three times and stopped by to schedule my appointment. At that time, Simone did not inform me of any of the things I needed to know to best select the style of lash I wanted. I had looked at the prices on my phone and clearly didn't understand the cost. When I scheduled my appointment in person, Simone should have given me all the info I needed including prices and showing me pictures of the various lashes. This is the major reason for my A-OK rating. 2. Jasmine was my "stylist" and was awesome. I actually fell asleep. I wanted the natural look and I 100% received it. I contacted the shop as I wasn't happy with my lashes. The owner called me back within the day and provided me with her cell phone number in order to reach her. Prior to this, Jasmine gave me a call and answered all of my questions regarding the lashes so I had no need to speak with the owner. I did give the owner a call back to rely this. My biggest issue was that I did not feel informed about my purchase. And for $100, I should have been better informed. All in all, I will be back to get a fill in and I will be requesting Jasmine. FYI, there seems to be more than one Jasmine at Lure Lash but they all seem to be the bomb. read more

Great place that I wish I discovered sooner They squeezed me in the morning of a wedding that I was attending that night. Very accommodating. When I realized my meter was only for an hour the woman was willing to put quarters in for the remaining hour. Have to say they took longer than most places I've been for the application. It took about 2 hours. Well worth it. My lashes look natural and full! When I discovered they did waxing and tinting I asked if they could fit me in right after my lashes and they did it nice and quick without thinking! So nice! One thing I wish I did was check in. Slacking. Could have gotten $10 off. Shame on me. I was rushed. Lashes were $120 and the tint and wax was $40. Prices are more reasonable than most places. Though I'm moving to Summit in the next month, I will be sure to visit Lure and Montclair again. read more

They provide you with a pillow for under your legs and a blanket while you're being worked on. Everyone I've come in contact with is super friendly and accommodating. The first time I went to Lure Lash I was very disappointed as my lashes were falling immediately. I called multiple times but could never get through. I emailed and Carmina replied asking me to come in for her to fix them. I decided to do just that and was certainly pleased the second time around. She apologized and didn't know why they didn't last. She then informed me due to my oily skin that she had to use a primer. The first girl made no mention of that and I do have very oily skin. Needless to say I have gone back multiple times for Carmina. Unfortunately they were getting to costly for me but I would recommend it.
