I often shop at a Wegmans store in the Baltimore suburbs, but we don't allow wine or beer sales at grocery stores in Maryland, so this was the first time I had seen a Wegmans wine selection - and I was impressed. She was thoroughly impressed and on top of that, we managed to get out of here without a cart full of snacks. But still, so much to browse on here. There's just so much here. And Wegmans doesn't cut out on checkout either. Despite the store being rather busy on this Saturday afternoon, there were plenty of registers open and no queue at the self-checkout. Impressive. Getting out was a little bit of a challenge as Village Market feeds into the small mixed-use "village" they have adjacent. Parking is easy here and the access is quick compared to One Loudoun. Staff at all Traders Joes are exceptional. There's a large variety of frozen foods and booze. Egg prices are considerably lower ($3.99-$4.99) than grocery stores but there is a limit of one carton. Take your spouse and buy 2 cartons.

As a result I now I have split my shopping between Food Lion and Safeway to try and come up with a mix of my groceries. The produce needs to be looked at closely. The staff for the most part is pleasant, but during COVID I have noticed they have allowed numerous people to roam the store without a mask and they do not say a word to them, but they harass people about using the enter/exit doors.
