    Carne asada
    Rico B.

Food: 4/5 Service: 2/5 Eat-in: 4/5 Pricing: 4/5 Carne asada dish was mostly delicious. Some pieces of meat were over-seasoned and too salted but most of it was great. Salad was fresh. All meat was cooked freshly. Tortillas are handmade. Salsa is great. Prices were reasonable. They don't have the restaurant phone number publicly posted so it's difficult getting through to place a take-out order. Additionally, it's great they have many Latinos working there but the front desk person should at least be able to communicate clearly with customers in English. Further, they only get my order correct about 40% of the time. They're very stingy with extra salsa. Eat-in space was worn down, compact, and tables are not comfortable although basically clean.

I often shop at a Wegmans store in the Baltimore suburbs, but we don't allow wine or beer sales at grocery stores in Maryland, so this was the first time I had seen a Wegmans wine selection - and I was impressed. Other than not being able to find chives, I found everything on my list for the weekend. Friendly staff, too! It was a nice store - if I lived nearby, I'd be happy to shop here regularly.

Easy enough to park the Sprinter van in their huge lot after taking care not to drive onto the deck area. The verdict? Five stars of "Wow." She was thoroughly impressed and on top of that, we managed to get out of here without a cart full of snacks. But still, so much to browse on here. Sushi, cheese, fresh grab-and-go heat-and-eat food, great wine and beer including a huge section of non-alcoholic options, pizza, fresh deli, a tremendous produce department and a massive butchery with fresh fish. There's just so much here. And Wegmans doesn't cut out on checkout either. Despite the store being rather busy on this Saturday afternoon, there were plenty of registers open and no queue at the self-checkout. Impressive. Getting out was a little bit of a challenge as Village Market feeds into the small mixed-use "village" they have adjacent. A little bit of traffic here but it moved fast enough that it rates only a small mention. This is the one area where they could improve. [Review 1032 of 2025 - 1516 in Virginia - 24586 overall]

Since being bought by Giant they now carry Nature's Promise brand of organic. But that also means that they pulled other brands that were good- Barber Foods Chicken Kiev, Rosetto Meat Raviolli, Francesco Rinaldi Spaghetti Sauce, Florentine noodles etc. and many more that I relied on. As a result I now I have split my shopping between Food Lion and Safeway to try and come up with a mix of my groceries. The produce needs to be looked at closely. I have come across moldy fruit more then once. I even bought curdled buttermilk once and had to return it to the store. I would love if they got a pharmacy but I know there isn't space. The staff for the most part is pleasant, but during COVID I have noticed they have allowed numerous people to roam the store without a mask and they do not say a word to them, but they harass people about using the enter/exit doors. Priorities people!
