The absolute worst place to consider for rehabilitation! My son tried very hard to enter their program, he's an alcoholic. And was turned away because when he was asked if he suffered from anorexia or bulimia he replied well I have Anemia! They ran w/ it and stated he self DX w/ bulimia. And then proceeded to refuse him service! Dropped him off at Kaiser Downey ER to fend for himself. No warm handoff just see ya later!! My son had finally asked for help and they weasled themselves into not helping him at all. But actually turning him away!! This will be escalated!! If you're looking for professional help. Do not go here.They coach you very well to actually not receive services.My son was evaluated @kaiser Downey ER and was cleared and Lighthouse was advised he did not have bulimia!!! But their non-licensed staff knows better! Service still refused.If you can't turn to rehab when asking for help where can you turn to?!?! I can say I had a great experience at the lighthouse. I was a client for 95 days and the whole time I was the staff was wonderful. My experience was great. I have to say my therapist Leah helped me to overcome a great deal. Leah was very professional and understanding with what I was going through. I enjoyed most of the staff at the lighthouse on the women's side. Support staff Rocky, Terri, Teresa, Marissa, Debbie, Heidi and Shelley go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Client care coordinator Stephanie is in a category all on her own with how she bends over backwards to make sure every need of yours is taken care of. The cooks Valerie, Elizabeth, Sonya and Mercedes are ridiculously courteous and prepare good meals. The therapist Julie is extremely understanding and gives you her complete attention. I was not happy with there only being 2 phones to share with 16 other girls. Oh yeah, you can't have your phone the entire 28 days you're there. You only leave the facility on Fridays to go to Walmart and Sundays to the vape shop. There are two to three beds in each room and it can be very frustrating to try to get ready in the mornings. There is no hanging out in each other's living rooms unless you get special permission from support staff and never allowed in each other's rooms. You are woken up at 6 am for vitals and expected to stay up and eat breakfast at 7 and go to group shortly after. Don't be late for groups, restrict phone calls to 15 minutes and be nice to the other clients is three of the most important things to remember when considering going here. I coined out on 02-22-2021 and was set up with a door to door transfer to an IOP program. I can look back and say it's a good program if you need detox or residential program. My personal life experiences with drugs and alcohol had always been a ceaseless challenge, to which I had become accustomed in the belief, that I could never stop. My time at Lighthouse was extremely enlightening, beneficial and came at a point in my life where I was so vulnerable a bad place could have been fatal. The staff for the most part is patient, caring, and willing to put up with some incredibly difficult and trying people who are genuinely sick in their disease. My husband was in there a few months back we were struggling financially and he needed to do his unemployment this place is very unprofessional I knew that his wife was disabled and has high anxiety instead of doing his unemployment they continuously put me off like it was no big deal as I was struggling to survive then they put the man on the phone around the place and he verbally abuse me and once they realized I had them by the balls as far as Filing a lawsuit because I recorded every phone conversation they told my husband to pack his bags and kicked him out instead of taking him and doing his unemployment so he could continue with his treatment very unprofessional organization would never take any of my family members there ever again read more

when I first entered the Lighthouse, I was lost, broken, and I didn't want to live anymore. When I left I felt alive, happy, and ready to begin a new life. The staff helped me so much in ways I can never repay. Teresa once walked by me and asked "if I was ok?" I replied no and she took the time to walk me to my room and listened to me, I really never had that in my life before. She sincerely cared how I felt. The entire staff was this way, they constantly checked on me and made sure I was ok. if not, they took the time out of whatever they were doing to listen to me. The counselors taught us real-life scenarios and what they experienced and how they got through it. When I left I used those tools to help get through rough times. The drivers were also so kind and talked to me as they took me to various doctors' appointments. Especially Jose I was so impressed that he knew my name. I will never forget that. I felt so special. I knew I was not just another patient to them, I felt like family. Everyone at the Lighthouse has made a major impact on my road to recovery. My 21 year old son was there two weeks and got drugs at there somehow. He got high (he is an addict) and they threw him out at 11:00 pm at night with his phone, $3 and his backpack. He is not from Anaheim and was far from home. Today, two days later, he turned up on their steps still high and someone called me and said they didn't know what to do with him. This is a treatment facility. You must have a detox facility, or know of one. You have a relapsed addict. How do you not know what to do??? How do you not supervise addicts and how do you let them get drugs??? Something is now right here. Very disappointed - I read all the glowing reviews and had hope that this was a good place. I really want everyone to get the help they need - just know that this is a possible outcome if you select this place. read more

This is an update post to one that I wrote a few months ago, just to let anyone reading this who is looking for help with their addiction or a family member's addiction know that there is hope, and the Lighthouse can help you. My daughter Laura went to the Lighthouse several months ago, and it was life changing for her and for the rest of our family. After 7 years of an addiction that nearly killed her and robbed her of her life, the Lighthouse and all of the kind, caring, knowledgeable people there, helped her and gave her the tools to take her life back. The staff there went above and beyond for her and for me. We have both remained in touch with personnel who have become friends, and Laura still goes to meetings at Lighthouse and keeps up with them in their AMAZING alumni program. Kylie helped her so much with getting started in this program, and Michael, her wonderful therapist (I said this before and I'll say it again) gave her the tools to stay sober. Honestly, everyone there is dedicated to helping you and not just there collecting a paycheck. Yes, it was up to her to decide to stay sober, quit making excuses, do the steps, get to meetings and stay honest in her recovery, and she is doing the work, but she couldn't have done it without them. She literally was lost, and they showed her the way. If you are really ready to give up your addiction and do the work to have a new life, this program WORKS! It really does. Laura will be 6 months sober in a couple of weeks. She is happy and healthy and loves her life now. She just completed her first semester ever in college and got an A in her class. If you had told me a year ago that today her life would be like this, I don't think I would have believed it. Regarding lighthouse anaheim pearl street anaheim. I spent 70 days in treatment here 1310, during my stay i experienced some positive interaction with staff. Alexa my therapist, johnny my counselor and Alanya support staff, they were great. Overall the program is lacking in directive & education. It is an old social model program trying to be a medical model. Run by a group of lawyers. I leave it at that... There is inconsistent support by staff. Negative: fraudulent billing, untrained staff, drug use, racist interaction, the "N" word is used freely, along with intimation, drugs are smuggled between the units via the wall. The residents run the program!?!?!? I would not recommend this site! It's a business only in it for the money. One more thought, the guy who pretends he is in charge is a false entity. Claims to be in special forces? Why would you need to say that? Along with the other one that proclaims righteous indignation. Both (Chuck's) are useless!!! Also, maria, Martha, gloria (never got it clear on her name) who sits in her high tower on the other side of fence, is useless. Another old school unprofessional/productive entity. read more

I just finished my 30 day stay at the light house and I have to say that it was a life changing amazing experience. The facility from day one was a place that the second you walked in felt right at home and safe. The housing units were all very clean and extremely comfortable. The staff is absolutely amazing. From the grounds keepers and the house cleaners to the kitchen staff ,clinical facilitators and nursing staff. Everyone was extremely professional and you could feel their passion for the work they do. The whole team allowed me to get to the root of what makes me do the things that I do. I learned that's it's ok to be vulnerable and to process feelings and emotions in a healthy way. I truly felt like I was part of a family. Lizette was the client care specialist. She was a power house . all over ever inch of that place making sure all of us had our needs met in regards to outside appointments (legal, medical employment) you name she made it happen. My counselor Johnny had the most amazing cookies and was so- so at basketball and ping pong lol. More importantly, he , from day one wanted to help me. He was my friend and worked tirelessly to construct a healthy productive exit plan for me after I completed the program. Always happy and kept me busy working on myself. Thank you Johnny. My therapist Leah enabled me to dig deep within myself and to be honest. I dug up feelings and emotions with her that I didn't even realize I had. She made it a safe environment to cry and laugh, heal and grow. I am extremely grateful to her for that. Words don't began to even describe Jesse and Eddie ( Jesse, one of the founding fathers of the light house) I'm shocked that Hollywood has not come to these guy to make a movie. The knowledge that these 2 men have of addiction and behavioral science is absolutely priceless. Every time they speak you are drawn in to the teaching. They could speak for hours and you are on the edge of your seat wanting more. I would lay in my bed and replay what Eddie had to say about patience and talks about the inner workings of the brain it was mind blowing. Jesse one of the most brilliant amazing people I have ever met. The story's he has and the raw honesty of his work is unbelievable just breath taking.Rebecca, Mike, esto, Sarah you guys led the most amazing groups. I have never in my life felt so comfortable with people whom I just met. Your guys energy and passion and guidance is something I will never forget. You truly care about people, and that's a rare quality. Please you guys never change who you are. You help make people's lives better. Rebecca and Mike were the primary pm staff. I always looked forward to tue because I knew the "A" team was gonna be there. Mike made sure from day 1 that my meds were taken on time. He would go out of his way to come find me so I wouldn't miss my antibiotics and made sure my arm was wrapped and cleaned ( I had surgery before I got there). Rebecca is so kind and such an amazing listener. She was alway there for me like I was part of her family. Mike and Rebecca. I love you guys and will always be grateful for you. Estel is amazing. Never made you feel like he was better than you or had all the answers ( he sure has a lot of them though ). Very humble and extremely funny. Laugh therapy is always important. Thank you Esto . Sarah would always have have a activities for us to do to lighten it up after a long week of programming Now to the kitchen. Omg, the food at this place is off the charts. The kitchen staff works their tails off. From sun up till evening. Making sure not a single person was ever hungry.Unreal!! Gotta give a big shout out to Sam and Evelyn. Not only is Sam an amazing chef who makesthe most brilliant sauces and dressings from scratch but also really cares about the clients. He would always stop and check in on us to make sure our days were ok and ask us how we are doing. Evelyn made bomb salsa and perfectly seasoned chicken and roasted potatoes that will knock your socks off. God bless you guys. As I sit here now 15 lbs heavier . Love you. Last but most definitely not least is the nursing staff. Marie probably saved my life. It a long story but the nurses at the lighthouse are so on point. The medical staff is unbelievable. I even quit smoking while I was there. I got on the patch and after smoking since I was in highschool, some 25 plus years ago I have not had a cigarette in a month. The coolest thing about this place is that a lot the people who work there were clients at the light house . And if not the light house, a different rehabilitation center. We all speak the same language of recovery. That was very important to me. Now after completion of the program I am part of of the lighthouse alumni family.
