I used to enjoy coming here, but time after time I had to convince myself that it was just a bad experience one time but I find it being that way EVERY SINGLE TIME. They don't know what square or round means. So explain it, dumb it down for them and pray that they will understand. I waited over a month for a pedicure to let my nails grow out so that they can get shaped correctly and apparently square means round to them. I told her 3x I wanted them square and they turned out so round that they ended up having to put acrylic on them. Is that why I waited to grow out my toe nails? Just so they can be ruined then made back by acrylic? I want to keep my nails natural. Not only that, the acrylic was bumpy and not smooth so they had to spend a lot more time trying to fix that, only because I said something, or else they were going to leave it. The man who works here is very RUDE. Not everyone can come for a pedicure every couple weeks and boy does he remind you that your feet are looking crusty and makes you feel like garbage cuz you haven't been able to come in and get a pedicure. SORRY, some of us work a lot, don't work enough, go to school, or have other commitments that prevent us from coming all the time. They looooove to talk smack about people, so if you are looking for a gossip fest, this is your place to be. They claim to offer student discounts and when it's time to pay they will tell you the service was already discounted, what??? Why even offer the discount then? Very disorganized. The nail tech also had the nerve to ask this small little petite girl if she was pregnant just because she had a little extra weight in her stomach. HA what a joke. Do people go around asking the bigger girl who works there if she's pregnant? Or better yet the plenty of skinny girls there if they are anorexic? Get your shop together. read more

I have never been so impressed!! The atmosphere is welcoming and like a family. They are professional and fast. I had Michelle do my nails and she was wonderful. She genuinely cares about her customers and is very kind when you ask for things to be changed or if you have questions. One of my biggest things is I like short acrylics and usually when I ask a nail tech to shorten them, they roll their eyes and act like I'm crazy. Michelle didn't even hesitate and made them the perfect length for me. I found my new go to nail place. Clean and fast, just wonderful. read more

Undeniably the worst experience at a nail place i have ever had. One it was hot and uncomfortable and looked dirty. Two, when i was getting a pedicure they used a tissue in between my toes to separate them. Could they not of got some actual toe separators? For a poor gel manicure and regular pedicure it was 53$. Will never be going back ever. Do not recommend unless you want some ratchet nails that you could easily do yourself. Michelle at Ancala Nails has been my favorite nail tech to date. The prices are amazing and the environment is so fun, I always have a good experience. I've had my nails done here a couple of times. The girl that usually does the pedicures is great, talkative and personable, but the last time I went I also had my nails done. Just a straight manicure, nothing special. The girl was young, never uttered a word, got fingernail polish all over my skin, left me and worked on someone else when I said I'd like the paint cleaned off my skin, The worst part was that she used the same tools on the new customer as she used on me, making me wonder if the tools were clean when she started my manicure. Don't know if I'll go back, and wouldn't really recommend this salon now that I think they don't use clean tools. read more

i was in a bind and had to find a place close to work to get my nails done before i went to a concert. luckily when i walked in i was taken care of right away. the lady who started my nails was really nice and shot the breeze with me for a while. then i had to wait 10 minutes for someone else to finish the nails. the guy that came over to finish them had no sense of humor at all. i would try talking to him or make jokes and he just sat there and didn't smile or anything. the price was ok. it cost $32 to get a full set with white tips. i would recommend this place to anyone but make sure that you don't get the guy! read more

Great place with great service. My wife and many friends regularly get their nails done here. I don't get my nails done but I have done business them several times, purchasing gifts for others. They have great service and patiently explained their services to me when they saw I knew nothing about nails! Very clean, and nice people. It is right next to Hawaiian Experience Spa so you can get a massage or facial and go next door to get your nails done. Very convenient! read more

October 12, 2017 was the first visit to this salon. The first thing I noticed was the saturation of the air in the salon of chemicals. I immediately put on the fan at the table to help diffuse it from me so I could breathe better. I asked for a simple manicure with no color polish. The technician left me with bleeding cuticles which I didn't notice until I got home and saw all the red areas on several fingers. I will not be giving them my business again. read more

No one has reviewed this place in awhile, so I normally don't do so, but I really think I should. I had a coupon to use, so after work, I took a chance, and was a walk-in. I was told the wait would be 10 minutes. I thought that was more than fair since I had no appointment. So, I picked out some polish, thumbed through a magazine, and some ten minutes or so, I was put in a spa chair and soaking my feet. All good. Except no one ever came back to me, and as I looked around to the 3 employees talking and laughing with their guests, it didn't look like it was going to ever happen. They were less than half way through their "toes" shall we say. Some 35 minutes later, I got up, told them, I'm sorry, but I couldn't wait any longer, and walked out. Plus, the place looks a little plain, shabby, and a bit "long in the tooth"....ripped wallpaper, dingy colors, old work stations, no décor on the walls at all....blah. Don't know about you, but I want to be in a place that looks pretty when I get my nails and toes done. Call me what you want, but there are better places....and it doesn't even cost cheaper to go here! Giving this place 2 stars is being kind. read more

WORST manicure I've ever had! I got a french shellac manicure. My nails were filed down and without being asked to wash them he began to paint over all the nail dust. He did not paint the entire tip (on any one of my nails) causing the nails to look as if they had been chipped. When he shaped the white, he pulled white paint down the rest of the nail and when asked about it, said, "It'll go away." Then he painted the clear over it ... the white is still there, the edges are smudged, the finish is dull. He didn't even clip away the cuticles, just simply pushed them down. I did not ask him to correct his mistakes because I don't believe 1) He even realizes they are there and 2) is obviously incapable of doing a correct french manicure and quite frankly, I didn't want to stick around any longer. Plus, this was a gift card (which I intentionally did not mention until paying after my nails were done) so since it wasn't coming out of my pocket I just chalked it up. I will not be going back!
