But flying out of BUF, this is one of the only places to eat, and sadly, it's the highest rated restaurant in BUF Airport. I opted for onion rings instead of pasta salad as a side dish and that clearly was the better choice, as there were tons of them and they looked amazing! Flavor of the sandwich was incredible! The turkey on it was fresh and tasted great. The lettuce and other ingredients were perfect, as fresh as well! The bread was perfectly toasted and highly flavorful and the basil mayo brought it all together quite nicely. That sandwich was easily a 10 out of 10! The onion rings (though they appeared to be frozen, then fried) were great too, and the BBQ style dipping sauce they came with was just OK, slightly too sweet for me. I have eaten here several times in the past and ordered the exact same thing every time. I always order the Philli Cheese Steak Sandwich. This is the first time eating here since the new management took over. It appears that besides turning the hotel into a one star hotel, they have really messed up the food in this restaurants. If you look at my original photo of the sandwich, envision the sandwich with a reduction of the meat of about 40%, hardly any peppers abd onions and the cheese sauce is now like watery cheese soup and there is 50% less than it used to be. With the food and hotel are really bad now and the minimum bets on the penny machines jacked up to 80 cents from 40 cents, this is the last time I will ever go to Batavia Downs for the food, gaming or hotel.
