It was my first time to Buffalo so naturally I needed to get some Buffalo wings. I went to another restaurant first, which I won't name but the wings were not good so the next day I tried Bar Bill. Let me tell you, these were some of the best wings I ever had! The restaurant itself is pretty small so it can get packed. As a girl from Michigan I do love ranch, but I was told their Bleu cheese was homemade so I used the bleu cheese and it was delish. I am only reviewing the Beef in Weck, a rare thin sliced roast beef sandwich on a kummelweck roll, which has kosher salt and caraway seeds. The top half of the roll often has horseradish spread and it is dowsed with au jus or those are served on the side. The sandwich is local, originating in Buffalo but you can get them in Rochester too. The sandwich comes in three sizes, large, medium and sliders. Choosing the medium, the portion of roast beef was generous. So generous, in fact, that the roll was too small for the sandwich. It was served with au jus to the side and potato chips. The roast beef, allegedly freshly made, tasted clayish. Salt was the dominant flavor, hardly any caraway seed flavor. About half way into the sandwich, I wondered if there was any horsedsdish on the bun. Truly, it was hard to tell, but if there was, it was overwhelmed by the salt along with the caraway. Perhaps there was too much meat for the roll? Lazy caraway seeds? Not enough horseradish? Whatever, it was, at best, disappointing. Now I didn't try anything else and other diners seemed happy plus service was prompt and helpful, the setting friendly and pleasant, so I am reluctant to give two stars but that's actually a more accurate grade for the sandwich. Bar Bill Tavern has the best wings I've ever had, hands down. Every time I was in town, this was a mandatory stop, and it never disappointed. The wings are perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and live up to every bit of the hype. Make sure to order the shoestring fries alongside them. They're the perfect complement and complete the meal. The combination is hard to beat. I've eaten wings all over the country, and Bar Bill still sits at the top of my list. My only complaint is that they aren't located in the Metro New York area. After a long day, Bar-Bill takeout sounded like the perfect choice. I was expecting a lengthy wait since you can't place orders ahead for a specific pickup time, but I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered at 5:15 PM on a Saturday, and they told us it would be ready in just 10-15 minutes. We shared an order of chicken fingers and the Chubby Chicken Sandwich, and everything was fantastic. My son typically avoids spicy food, but he absolutely devoured the fingers! One tip: if you order the fingers, ask for them to be painted on both sides so you get every bit of that delicious sauce. I didn't get a chance to snag any of the waffle fries because they disappeared so quickly, but they're always a great choice. My son and I actually rode our bikes to pick it up, and the food held up perfectly during the 10-minute ride home. Quick, easy, and consistently delicious. This was our 8 and final stop on our buffalo wing tour and it DID NOT! Disappoint. First off our server Alexender was an absolute delight. Attentive and really charismatic. By the time we got here we were winged out lol... but like any true food roadtrip we stayed professional. We got there medium and there Cajun honey bbq wings. Pizza logs and beef on weck also, to help with the wing fatigue. The beef on weck was amazing and the cajun honey bbq wings were some of my favorite on the trip. I visited here during my trip to Buffalo, at the suggestion of several locals. It definitely lives up to the hype. The Beef on Weck was excellent, and the fries are great too! I thought the service was decent, but had room for improvement. Refills were few and far between for everyone at our table. There was a good crowd and the environment seemed perfect for the occasion. One of THE quintessential Buffalo food experiences. This location is packed with charm, but is ALWAYS busy. It is a bit dark, but has a homey, comfortable feel to it. You will often see a line waiting to get in before the location opens and the line rarely dies down, especially during the weekend. Sometimes bar seating is a little quicker, but not always. The star here are the wings and the beef on weck. You can't go wrong with either of them. Wings are nicely sized and cooked to perfection. Their beef on weck is packed with meat but the bun is perfectly salted and doesn't get soggy. Servers are efficient and friendly. And plenty of drink options, alcoholic and not to pair perfectly with your other Buffalo delacies. Do yourself a favor and make sure you give Bar Bill a try. read more

The food, service and vibe are great. I just don't like the really cute and muscular man cutting the beef. He was super nice and it pissed me off. The way he molded the beef fresh out the pan into little perfect beef mountains and slammed them onto the bread pillows they call kimmelweck really is a thing of magic! As the photo shows I ate everything because the food was amazing but I would be lying if I said I would ever eat here again. I'm not sure my stomach could take it. Ordered a gambit of food. Started with the battered fries, they were hot, crispy and tender inside. Accompanied with the battered onion rings which were crispy and moist inside nice batter. Followed with the Cajun hot well cooked wings. They had a lovely kick, great crisp skin, hot and tender inside. Give them a 9.5. The pizza logs were filling with more entrails than envisioned. Bam had the indigenous Beef on weck she was at home, lol. Brought back her childhood memories. The service is outstandingly lovely, Lorie went out of her way to make us comfortable and extend option. She joked, lightened the atmosphere, and made our visit noteworthy. The wait during busy time is about one hour. But it is totally worth it. The patrons inside are diehard Bills fans. The cozy wooden interior the crafts behind the bars and the medley of conversations are not only memorable but priceless. The black and white restroom wall with wooden floor is intimate and extremely clean. The price is worth the visit. This is definitely worth the stop. The Beef on Weck - absolutely phenomenal. The Kaiser roll was soft with just the right balance of salt and caraway seeds. The beef was perfectly seasoned and cooked, tender with every bite. Add in chips, a pickle, and a dip into that rich au jus, and you're already in food heaven. I kicked it up a notch with horseradish, and that pushed it completely over the top. The Wings - we went for 10. I wanted hot, but the bartender (pro tip: always listen to the locals) suggested Medium Hot since it was our first time. My brother switched us down to Medium, so that's what landed. Crispy, saucy, and flavorful--but next time I'd definitely go Medium Hot to get that extra kick. I ordered the chubby chicken sandwich and I hope they never take it off the menu. It is delicious. The chicken is on the thinner side which I prefer. It's a good size. Dipped in the amazing honey butter bbq sauce, then with potato chips on top . The waffle fries and blue cheese are a nice touch. I never had that pizza before, but I will definitely be getting it again. Flavor was great and it was cooked perfectly. Nice big chunks of chicken and the bbq sauce on top has the perfect amount so you are able to taste the whole pizza and not just the bbq sauce. The wings. Always amazing. We sat and ate at the bar as all the tables were taken and I was hangry. The bartender was amazing and didn't miss a beat even with the bar being full. We didn't feel ignored at all. We prefer the east aurora location. It feels more comfortable to us. Came here with the family after visiting the Eternal Falls. After much research prior to our trip, I was the one who recommended the place. It's a small but endlessly packed restaurant in which I was surprised we got seated not too long after arriving. The space can get crowded fast but I thought it added to the charm of the establishment. The food 1. We got 10 wings honey butter bbq which was nice and saucy and crispy! Each bite was so flavorful. 2. My mom and I shared a regular size beef on weck. It was meat stacked on meat. The roll was soft and didn't get too soggy unless I dipped it real good into the au jus. 3. My dad ordered himself a make your own pizza with pepperoni and banana peppers. He complimented the pizza saying it didn't taste burnt and he liked the pepperoni used. 4. My brother got 10 suicidal wings because he likes his wings HOT. How can you rate a place with 6 stars?! We visited the original Bar Bill as a part of our 2025 Wing Crawl. We hit 14 spots all around Buffalo. There was about a 30 minute wait for a table and we were there on a Tuesday at like 2pm. The place was absolutely packed and remained so during our entire visit. As you can imagine, it was on the noisy side but not awful. They send you a text to alert you that your table is ready. We were seated at a really strange table. The very last one before the kitchen and literally right across from the ladies bathroom. Throughout our meal, we had women standing next to our table waiting on the bathroom. That was our only negative. But, some of them chatted us up and it added to the experience. Bar Bill tied for 1st place in our Wing Crawl with a score of 10/10. The wings were excellent!! And you cannot beat the presentation. We got the hot wings and theirs are hotter than most - which is what we are after. The blue cheese is very good as well. Tons of good meat, delicious sauces, just so so good. I got the medium, which had a good kick like Frank's but not too spicy, and Cajun hot honey bbq which was AMAZING. We also got the cheese curds which were very good, beef on weck sandwich which one of my party enjoyed and thought the meat was very flavorful. We met some friends here at @ 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon in May. There was a short wait for a table. My wife and I ordered 20 wings to share, and she also got a beef on weck sandwich with chips. Our friends, who live in East Aurora were surprised the wait was so short. I guess this place is popular, no matter the time of day. The wings were arranged on the platter by type, which is a nice touch. They were also well-sauced, which is a plus for me. The food was all very good. They should have a fair to good amount of crispiness(unlike Duff's unless you ask for crispy which are still a favorite with old school butter and Franks sauce) after having been shaken, stirred or painted with sauce ordered. I ordered 10 wings hot, and the sauce was hot but with a delicious flavor. The wings were crispy and of a decent size(medium) which makes it the perfect size to easily polish off 10 wings. When in Buffalo... I heard that Bar Bill was the place to be for the best buffalo wings in Buffalo. And they are pretty darn good. My favorite was the Sicilian wings, parmesan buttery goodness. The fries also deserves some respect too. Although they were advertised as shoestring fries but were actually more regular cut. But they were still crispy and delicious regardless. We actually didn't sit down in the restaurant because there was a 90 minute wait. Ya this place is popular. So we actually went to their to go entrance around the back of the original store. And there we were able to get our food in about 20 minutes. The staff was very helpful and the space gives the vibe of an old town watering hole. Very welcoming and in character. Overall the wings were good. But I'm sure there are tons of places and Buffalo with good wings. So no need to do the hours long wait. P.S. Awesome beef on weck. Beer was cold and the cajun wings were a dry rub and very good and spicy. Got the mild wings and they had a sweetness to them that i did not dig. Kinda like a sweet and sour. Not tasty at all. Also got the buffalo chicken quesadilla. It was ok, but was just a cut up filet of chicken. The tomatoes made it taste fresh at least. The service was a bit slow at first, as it was packed. However after we got half our food, the place pretty much cleared out. Service was still slow. Had to ask a couple times for refills. Partial wing orders for the table came out, which was disappointing for those still waiting on their food. The ambiance is cool and locale is awesome. Id go back for the beef of weck for sure. Incredible! My family took us here for dinner and I'm so glad they did. Everything was great! Service, food, beer. They were packed and we waited 30 mins to be seated for 5 people. We were told they're known for the beef on weck and chicken wings so I knew I had to get both. There was so much roast beef piled on the sandwich. Bread was fresh, not thick, flavorful, and airy. The horseradish and dip on the side was awesome, I didn't even think the sandwich needed it, it was exceptional with or without. The pickle and chips were good too! I was told to get the Cajun Honey Butter wings and Medium wings. The Cajun Honey Butter is outrageous and I think it's the best wing I've ever had. The chicken was cooked perfectly, nice and crispy and moist on the inside. They were sauced perfectly...and the blue cheese. Get extra, it's AMAZING. The medium wings were great too, but we were told the medium is hot at most other places - maybe so, but I wanted a little more heat than they brought, so next time I'm going with Hot. We also had a Beef on Weck, which we watched be prepared for us. A little horse reddish on it and dipping it into the jou took me to another planet. How can a sandwich that's so simple be SO GOOD? I will get this again when I go back. The beer selection was decent. I had been hoping for a pumpkin ale (I know, it's basic), which they didn't have. I settled for a Sam Adams Oktoberfest and a Big Ditch Hayburner. Both were great. Service was great too. Our waitress was a sweet older woman who was really welcoming. Ambiance - it's an old school tavern in all the best ways. Cramped as hell, but still awesome. It's a whole vibe. I loved it here and I can't wait to come back and take friends here.
