Holy delicious! I felt like I had a real true Buffalo experience after having lunch here on a misty semi gloomy day. The two of us put our name in midday on a Sunday and walked around for 30 minutes to wait for a table. We ordered pizza rolls, a beef on weck, salad (needed something green!), and 12 medium wings. Everything was absolutely delicious and I was grateful my friend split everything with me. I would have absolutely tried to mow down it all by myself if she wasn't there. My only grievance is that I had to flag down a server (who wasn't ours) multiple times to ask for water, extra silverware, a box, and the check. Excellent! We were in town visiting and had to add to the food tour. Last visit was prob 10 years ago. We arrived before they opened so we had a good seat. It got packed quickly once it opened. There are a lot of bee's outside when waiting, so be prepared for that. The food was amazing! We ordered blue lights, 30 wings, 20 hot, 10 of the Cajun honey butter and 2 mini roast beef's. After a long day, Bar-Bill takeout sounded like the perfect choice. I was expecting a lengthy wait since you can't place orders ahead for a specific pickup time, but I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered at 5:15 PM on a Saturday, and they told us it would be ready in just 10-15 minutes. We shared an order of chicken fingers and the Chubby Chicken Sandwich, and everything was fantastic. My son typically avoids spicy food, but he absolutely devoured the fingers! One tip: if you order the fingers, ask for them to be painted on both sides so you get every bit of that delicious sauce. I didn't get a chance to snag any of the waffle fries because they disappeared so quickly, but they're always a great choice. It was my first time to Buffalo so naturally I needed to get some Buffalo wings. I went to another restaurant first, which I won't name but the wings were not good so the next day I tried Bar Bill. Let me tell you, these were some of the best wings I ever had! The restaurant itself is pretty small so it can get packed. As a girl from Michigan I do love ranch, but I was told their Bleu cheese was homemade so I used the bleu cheese and it was delish. I am only reviewing the Beef in Weck, a rare thin sliced roast beef sandwich on a kummelweck roll, which has kosher salt and caraway seeds. The top half of the roll often has horseradish spread and it is dowsed with au jus or those are served on the side. The sandwich is local, originating in Buffalo but you can get them in Rochester too. The sandwich comes in three sizes, large, medium and sliders. Choosing the medium, the portion of roast beef was generous. So generous, in fact, that the roll was too small for the sandwich. It was served with au jus to the side and potato chips. The roast beef, allegedly freshly made, tasted clayish. Salt was the dominant flavor, hardly any caraway seed flavor. About half way into the sandwich, I wondered if there was any horsedsdish on the bun. Truly, it was hard to tell, but if there was, it was overwhelmed by the salt along with the caraway. Perhaps there was too much meat for the roll? Lazy caraway seeds? Not enough horseradish? Whatever, it was, at best, disappointing. Now I didn't try anything else and other diners seemed happy plus service was prompt and helpful, the setting friendly and pleasant, so I am reluctant to give two stars but that's actually a more accurate grade for the sandwich. Can't go wrong at this location! Got fingers with the honey Dijon and Cajun honey butter bbq. Delicious. Crispy fingers, just enough sauce, homemade bleu cheese. Service is quick for how busy it gets (and it gets busy pretty quickly after opening). Not a ton of seating and no reservations, so plan accordingly. The ONLY reason I would consider 4/4.5 stars is it's SO loud. Add a loud patron or two and the sound just amplifies. Very hard to hear a person sitting right next to you. Otherwise- fantastic food! One of THE quintessential Buffalo food experiences. This location is packed with charm, but is ALWAYS busy. It is a bit dark, but has a homey, comfortable feel to it. You will often see a line waiting to get in before the location opens and the line rarely dies down, especially during the weekend. Sometimes bar seating is a little quicker, but not always. The star here are the wings and the beef on weck. You can't go wrong with either of them. Wings are nicely sized and cooked to perfection. Their beef on weck is packed with meat but the bun is perfectly salted and doesn't get soggy. Servers are efficient and friendly. How can you rate a place with 6 stars?! We visited the original Bar Bill as a part of our 2025 Wing Crawl. We hit 14 spots all around Buffalo. There was about a 30 minute wait for a table and we were there on a Tuesday at like 2pm. The place was absolutely packed and remained so during our entire visit. As you can imagine, it was on the noisy side but not awful. They send you a text to alert you that your table is ready. We were seated at a really strange table. The very last one before the kitchen and literally right across from the ladies bathroom. Throughout our meal, we had women standing next to our table waiting on the bathroom. That was our only negative. But, some of them chatted us up and it added to the experience. Bar Bill tied for 1st place in our Wing Crawl with a score of 10/10. The wings were excellent!! I ordered the chubby chicken sandwich and I hope they never take it off the menu. It is delicious. The chicken is on the thinner side which I prefer. It's a good size. Dipped in the amazing honey butter bbq sauce, then with potato chips on top . The waffle fries and blue cheese are a nice touch. I never had that pizza before, but I will definitely be getting it again. Flavor was great and it was cooked perfectly. The food, service and vibe are great. I just don't like the really cute and muscular man cutting the beef. He was super nice and it pissed me off. The way he molded the beef fresh out the pan into little perfect beef mountains and slammed them onto the bread pillows they call kimmelweck really is a thing of magic! Our friends, who live in East Aurora were surprised the wait was so short. I guess this place is popular, no matter the time of day.
