I went in after having less admirable service at another nail salon and was so pleased at Anchor nails. The ladies were so friendly and easy to talk to and really made sure that my nails were special for my after wedding celebrations with my family. I recommend that you book an appointment ahead of time as it is a small salon and it is only the two ladies. Also, remember to bring cash as it is cash only! Prices were very reasonable and they will not pressure you into upsells. I highly recommend this salon if you want good nails, reasonable rates, and a friendly environment. It's a little corner place in the plaza located at Schoenherr and 13 Mile by the Value Land and the dollar store. The salon is clean and my feet were very well taken care of! If I could give 0 stars I would. This business is apparently just one woman who does not know how to communicate effectively with new customers. I made a same day appointment today right around 10 am,when this establishment opened, for 4 pm. I am due to have a baby any day now, just wanted a little self care for the first time in over a year before the baby comes. There was some traffic on the way there so I got to the door at 4:10 just as someone walked out. The woman, she never even gave her name, said hello and asked why I was there. I stated I had an appointment. She says "Well I tried to call you at 3pm to confirm but you never called me back. Then I waited for you until 4:10 but since you were not here I called someone else to come in so I can't see you." I was floored. She admitted she left no message to confirm the appt (who confirms a same day appt? She never said she would do that when I made the appt) and that she called someone else at 4:10. I don't believe that at all, since she was just with another person and she was the only person working. Seems to me she gave my appt away well before 4pm. Her whole attitude was extremely rude, no sense of compassion or friendliness in her tone at all. Extremely off-putting. I told her that she was very rude in how she handled a new customer. She conceded that she should have left a message and I didn't know how she operated because I was new. I was still flustered at her horrible customer service when she stated she didn't want to go back and forth with me and asked what I wanted to do, she could see me two hours later if I came back. I just walked out. No ma'am I will take my money somewhere else where they don't treat customers like trash. She ruined my whole night! I hope I can find somewhere else to be seen that follows covid restrictions before this baby arrives. read more

I have been getting my nails done here for over a year. I come every 2-3 weeks for my shellac. Anjali usually takes care of me but both sisters are awesome!!!! Every month or two for my pedi. I usually get the regular but got the spa deluxe before my wedding and it was amazing!! You need extra time for the mask to dry. My shellac never chips but my nails grow fast and I like to keep them short. Big bonus is they are a more natural salon and do not provide acrylic or gel services. I appreciate that because the smell is just to much for me. I'm so happy I found this little gem!! read more

I found this place by pure luck looking for nail salons near my doctor. I really did get lucky! I have been getting shellac manicures for over 6 months and was disappointed with my old salon, my nails always came out looking bumpy and thick! That is not the case here! It's a small place in a plaza but don't let the appearance fool you! I came in and one woman was working, Angelie- who is part owner. When she seen me waiting she called her sister, Dee- the other owner. Dee got there quickly so I had a very small wait time for a walk in. I showed Dee a photo of what I wanted and picked my colors. There was absolutely no communication barrier and Dee listened to me and what I wanted. I've had trouble at other salons when asking for something specific, many other salons won't listen to you or just do what they want. Not here! Dee asked me to make sure my nails were filed the way I wanted. She paused to make sure I liked the color. Dee and Angelie took time to make sure I was happy! These two woman are all about customer service! They both talked and were friendly the whole time! I am so happy with the job they did and you can't beat the prices! Very reasonable! Very disappointed in this nail salon. If I could give them zero stars, I would. When I sat down to get my nails done, the nail technician told me she 'wasn't sure I could get them done because they were too short.' Also, I felt insulted by the fact that she kept commenting on my cuticles and how awful my nails looked. While she was shaping my nails, she stopped, took out her phone, and texted for 5-10 minutes. About five minutes after that, she stopped painting my nails and made a phone call on her personal phone. Another five minutes passed and she made another phone call. After she was finished and I was going to pay, she told me they do not accept credit cards. I looked on the window and door and told her there was no sign, and on the door it gave pictures of various types of credit cards that are accepted. I had to run to the bank, take out cash, and return. Personally, I felt disrespected. With the comments that were made towards me, to the phone calls and texts. If I own a business, I wouldn't be taking personal phone calls with the customer sitting there, and I sure would not take personal phone calls or texts during the session. If they do not accept credit cards, it needs to be displayed. Credit cards are a very common form of payment now. I will not be returning to this establishment, and I will be sure to tell others to do the same. read more

Don't let the "hole in the wall" vibe fool you! This little shop is so great! The quaint location makes you feel like you're having a private nail appointment. Deepa (the owner) and her sister Angoli are the two nail techs there and they do a very thorough job. I used to go to Deepa when she used work at a "nicer", bigger salon and I fell in love with her! When I found out she had her own salon I was so happy and I know where I'll be going now! Not to mention the prices are out of this world. I spent $40 on a mani/pedi with shellac. That's unheard of other places. Other salons will charge you for a mani pedi shellac staring at $55. Only thing that may set them back is they don't do acrylics, but they choose not to for health reasons. Give them a try, you won't regret it. read more

So I've posted before about this place and I am posting once more. This place is simply amazing. I have not been here for almost a year, I walked in and instantly they remembered who I was. Which is shocking. I mean who remembers people from a year ago? These ladies are exceptional and they are very good at what they do. The sisters say you're paying for a pedicure, you're going to get a pedicure. And they've never disappointed. If you are looking for a place to get a quality pedicure, do yourself a favor and try them. $25 for a basic pedicure and $35 for the deluxe. Well worth every penny read more

Received a Gift Certificate for $35.00 and I did not realize it had an expiration date on it. It expired on August 4th which was a Sunday and they were closed. I called Monday August 5th and asked if they would honor it and they said NO. I think that is horrible customer service. She was very rude and I will never step foot in their facility. Shame on them and I hope people read this. One day after expiration and they were closed on top of that and they will not honor it. Shame on them. They just rip people off. I walked in today before even being greeted the lady noticed my acrylic nails and rudely told me they don't do fake nails. I began to ask her how much would it cost for them to be soaked off. I'm writing this review as I sit here and wait for someone to come do my pedicure as I've been here with my feet in the water for about an hour and a half. These ladies are very rude. They do not hold back in their comments and have no filter. Every time I walk in, even though they do accept walk ins, I get an attitude about how I should have called ahead of time. The entire salon has a judgmental atmosphere. One positive thing I have to say, is that they do a great and thorough job and are not particularly expensive. Needed to get my nails done same day. I found that this place was close to me and had good reviews. I called when at 10am when it says that they open and no one answered. I called probably 4 more times up until noon with still no answer which is why I am docking a star. I finally made an appointment somewhere else. Around 1:30pm they finally called me back and were able to get me in that day. The girl doing my nails did a really good job. I got the shellac and she really took her time and didn't rush through it. This was almost 3 weeks ago and only 2 nails have very small chips so I haven't taken it off yet.
