So I posted about my tattoo last week, but I'm adding to that, as the tattoo artist "Isaac" had a few words to say. He's a very toxic and childish person as you can see here. I don't recommend going to him at all. To add on to this post, I can clearly see these are not real people, the tattoo artist of the name Isaac decided to post pictures to the parlor's page to try and gain publicity after a negative review is made on his behalf. Those people were obviously told to post about his work to try and make himself look better, and I find that so childish. I wouldn't want an immature tattoo artist to put something permanent on my skin. Especially with terrible line work, and an ego. ALSO they removed my posts from their page. That's so nice. I have been to anchors away a handful of times now. The artist Isaac has been doing my tattoos for about a year now. 5 pieces in total. That should say enough, I wouldn't continue to allow someone to permanently mark my body if I wasn't satisfied with the outcome everytime. But anyways, a few more reasons to add why I enjoy going to get my tattoos done by him are because 1) he is always willing to work with my schedule. Even if it interferes with his. he will always work with me to get me in asap. Which is awesome! I hate waiting weeks and weeks for an appointment. 2) he did my first thigh tattoo and my first back tattoo. Those places were extremely hard for me to sit through but he worked with me through my fidgetiness and still made sure my tattoos came out clean and to the best of his ability without making me feel bad for not sitting completely still. (Artist in the past have not been so understanding) 3) he always makes me feel comfortable. He's friendly, makes nice conversation and always keeps it professional and respectful. 4) he is honest. If I have an idea for a piece and I am unsure about something. I will ask his opinion on certain placement and/or shading and his feedback is always honest. I trust him completely to make the best judgement call on a tattoo. And I have never been disappointed. I will definitely be returning, hopefully soon! To get some more awesome pieces from Isaac! Took my teenager about a month ago to get a nose piercing as a walk in. Shane was great with her! He explained everything to her, made her comfortable, and his shop was very clean! While I was there I decided to have him quote me on a tattoo I've wanted for a few years. He gave me a excellent price, along with the service he had just provided my daughter I booked and paid the deposit. 6 days ago I arrived for my appt and he had hand drew my wings to perfection! This review isn't so much about the tattoo I received but more about the customer service I received. This is a big deal since my husband and I own a small business as well and I know how important that is. Me and my two friends went to get a special tattoo since we have been friends for 40 yrs. My friend chose the artist because she and her family had 9 prior tattoos done by her and she was happy with them. Something went wrong with mine and we honestly don't know if my skin had a reaction (never had one with past tattoos) or some kind of blowout but I couldn't find too many people that had a clear explanation including the artist. Regardless, it's on my foot where everyone can see it and it's upsetting. Stuff happens, I get it. But I didn't think I should have to eat it when I will need to either get a big cover up or laser it off. Since my friend got 9 other tattoos from this artist I thought she would take care of this and give back my money since I will need to do either a cover up or removal. The owner ended up I getting involved. He called me and talked though it. He too can't really explain why this happened and stands by the artist work and truly didn't think she did anything wrong but also didn't care for the way it was handled. He refunded my money himself. To me that says it all. Regardless of how or why it happened he understood we were returning customers and this is a permanent piece of art I have to live with. I appreciate his customer service a lot and I wouldn't hesitate going to him in the future. He didn't do my tattoo but his work looks great from what I have seen. I had the most amazing experience here. I got pierced by Shane, the only piercer at this location as well as the owner, and he was amazing. About two weeks ago I got pierced by a different place in Sacramento and had to take the septum out not even 24 hours later because they pierced it so crooked it basically came out the front of my nose. I told Shane what happened and not only did he remember me for what I had told him on the phone a week prior to getting the piercing, but during the procedure he talked me through everything and basically did everything he could to make me feel comfortable. We had great conversations as well. He was so kind and I know for a fact if I want another piercing he's the first person I will be going to. Thank you again Shane. Horrible. The piercer is so not nice. He's totally looking to get things over with and take the money. Total rip off by the way because I got my septum pierced and the guy pierced it crooked. He didn't answer any questions I had with respect, he answered just because. He pierced it twice crookedly and blamed it on me because I "moved" my head. I was still as a leaf. He charged my mom 40$ for the piercing and it was crooked and pierced way too far back. Please don't go here to get pierced. I think their specialty is tattoos.. DONT GET PIERCED HERE!!! I tried giving this place the benefit of the doubt and thought my ear just took long to heal as it is a cartilage piercing. it has been THREE YEARS and my ear still hurts. I have tried everything from switching the earring and so on. not only is it still painful but it is pierced at such an angle i have to point the earring down to get it through. it is literally the angle of this /. Been pierced multiple times here by Shane and never had a problem. When I wanted to get my conch pierced, I came back since I'd gotten multiple piercings by Shane before and had no problems. After getting my conch pierced, I was fine. After 36 hours after having my ear and head throb and getting no sleep and noticed that my conch was already infected and really painful, I was confused because I felt like I had done nothing wrong... Had a friend check my piercing out after I'd had it for about a week and she was shocked and disgusted. He had pierced me with the wrong jewelry which caused a major infection! My first visit to Anchors Away Tattoo in Lodi, California, was quite pleasant. The tattooist who worked on me is named James Moral, and, from what I hear, he does tattoo parties, too. I brought in a very simple drawing which I wanted as a tattoo. A lot of tattooists will try and talk the customer into something of their own (the tattooist's) design, which is not what the customer wants to hear. James at Anchors Away Tattoo in Lodi, California, knows that the customer is always right. Another reason that I will visit this shop again is that the tattoo was done quickly and efficiently. Many tattooists make the customer wait in the front room while they (the tattooist) could be getting their station ready. Like they couldn't be bothered to work. In the past, I've sat on the sofa (at other tattoo parlors) for upwards of 90 minutes waiting for the tattooist to grace me with their presence. At Anchor's Away Tattoo, in Lodi, California, the tattooist (James Moral), was extremely professional. His work and eye for color are beyond outstanding. Other shop employees I spoke to were also quite professional and well-spoken. Probably the best thing about this tattoo parlor, is, that they have an ATM on the premises. Ultra-convenient! My experience at this shop has been my best yet. Shane was very professional and way down to earth. Very attentive to what I wanted and helpful in a variety of font choices. I've never had more compliments on any tattoo yet. Highly recommend this shop and artist/owner. More pricier than the other artists I've been too but if you were to see the difference in quality Shane is well deserving of his prices. After all I do have a tattoo from another shop that's supposed to be a waterfall and looks more like a tooth root. Awesome... NOT. I'm hoping I'll be in Lodi more for work so I can have some more work done from Shane or another one of his artists. From what I've read his other artists do amazing work as well. My wife usually gets her work done in Manteca, but we were out of town at the time. Shane did her tattoo, it looked swollen as soon as he finished. Maybe its because Shane decided it was ok to stop half way though her tattoo for a half hour, to do a couple piercings, and pull out a dermal for other people, while her arm swelled and started to get tender. Spent nearly 4 hours in the shop on a small tattoo. We go home, she washes it 4x a day w/ antibacterial soap, and use Aquaphor, she knows the drill. Long story short, the tattoo isn't healing, and her arm blows up the size of an orange, and she heads to the ER (no insurance) to find out she has a staff infection from unsterilized equipment, doctors words not mine. Shane claims its my wifes fault for not taking care of it, and wont refund her because he says "It happens, thats why I had you fill out the paper work." BULLSHIT, shes got quite a bit of work on her and not once has she ever gotten staff infection from them...UNTIL NOW! Thanks Shane your amazing. read more

He rescheduled on my sister countless times, he didn't seem to care about her, her time, or her tattoo. I would never go to him nor would she ever go back and neither of us would recommend him. He has good work, but it's not worth it to go to him. It also looks bad on the whole tattoo parlor. We probably won't go to Anchors ever again. We're taking our business to the Freckled Rose.
