We made an appointment ahead of time through the website. You can also see all of the charms and chains that are offered via the website. It was a very easy and organized process! My sister and I have been trying to set up a time to get some permanent jewelry with our mom for like 2 years and since they live in Reno, it just never worked out. They were in town since we were heading out to Hawaii the next day. Knowing this, I made an appointment online for $10/person which included each person getting as much as they wanted. His store is on Sutter St on old Folsom and the inside is just so cute and perfect for pictures. We went in all thinking we'd be getting bracelets. I've been following Vosswood on IG for a while. Before Matt got his permanent place on Sutter Street. I went to the grand opening of his shop and a few days later I got 2 permanent bracelets done. This was almost a year ago. My bracelets have been through a whole year of wear and so I decided to do a review on how they held up. First and foremost, my bracelets are so comfortable. I forgot they're on my wrist most of the time. I do wish they sat bit lower on my wrist, but that's not Matt's fault. It was just my preference when I got them done. They look just as good as the day I got them. They haven't tarnished one bit, no staining, or warping. Also, I'd like to add that they are so durable. Not only is the weld solid, but the chains used are as well. I have twin toddlers and they put these bracelets to the test every single day. They yank and pull on these things daily and I never question the integrity of the chains. I'm so happy I was able to finally get permanent jewelry done here. Matt was a joy talking to and I can't wait to get more jewelry done by him. For a reciept, I added a screenshot with a time stamp of the day I got my bracelets done. This review is based on what I believe was poor customer service. Because I would like to state that the bracelet I got I absolutely love and he did a great job placing it. No, my sister and I walked in to get our permanent jewelry. We did not have an appointment. I understood we'd have to wait. That was not the problem. When we got there, there was a party of five currently getting bracelets he told us to put our names and numbers down and just wait. That was no problem. We decide to just walk around Sutter Street until he called us. After a while, we made it back to the shop and he was just finishing up on the party of five. He kindly let us know that he will get to us soon. As he was checking them out, a lady walked in asking to get a bracelet fixed that she already had on. (Keep in mind we were next for a walk in) and at the same time a party of two came in for their appointment that they had scheduled. I understood he had to keep the appointment so I recognize we would have to be after the appointment due to us being a walk in. The reason I am giving three stars is because I found it incredibly rude that after he finished the second appointment of the party of two he did the other lady who walked in after us, because it was just one person instead of two(my sister and I) so it would be "quick" he didn't really apologize for skipping us over. It was just like this is what I'm doing. It's faster this way.. but in my opinion, it's the same amount of time, and she came in after us. And we were waiting a while, but the waiting wasn't really the problem because I understood about the appointment. It was just really the fact that he had poor customer service over the walk-in issue. It really rubbed me the wrong way. And due to this I don't think Id come back and get another permanent jewelry from him. Which is sad because I truly do like the one he put on my wrist, but social interactions are key part of a business and I just feel like he let this one down. read more
