Dropped by this shop on the hottest day of the year - perfect for a Bahn mi. We tried the standard cold cut as well as the crackle (pork belly). Both were generously filled with ingredients. My fav was the crackle Bahn mi but both were flavourful. Unfortunately we didn't eat them right away buy waited a few hours to eat at home. Sadly with the hot humid weather I'm sure it affected the outer crust crunch of the baguette. Will try again to judge it. Service friendly. Cute little spot near Eaton center with limited seating, but cute vibes. Came here on a Saturday around lunch managed to snag a seat for two despite it being decently busy. Service took a little longer than I anticipated for typical banh mi and rice bowl spots, but we left feeling very full and with leftovers from our order. Ordered the spicy chicken banh mi and crackle belly rice bowl which were similarly priced around 15/16 dollars. Chicken was a bit dry and felt the bun to topping ratio could have been a bit better per bite. However we did find the bun decently filling between the two of us before we got to the rice bowl. Contrastingly, we found the rice bowl was quite large and had better ratios for the same price. The next day we were able to make two meals out of the onr bowl! Just a quick updated review of And Banh Mi! I tried the cold cut banh mi about a month ago and I returned recently to try their crackle banh mi. Upon entering the shop there were a few customers waiting for their orders but the place wasn't busy. I ordered the crackle banh mi where staff thanked me for coming back as I wasn't able to order it last time (last time the pork belly wasn't ready yet as they were behind in prep). I also asked for extra pate in my sandwich which staff gladly put for me. My crackle banh mi was made at a reasonable time where I waited less than 10 min for it to be prepared. This specific banh mi consisted of crispy roasted pork belly with golden crackling, layered with pickled carrots and daikon, cucumber, spring onion, and coriander, finished with a smoky house BBQ sauce (banh me was $14.75 + tax). I decided to eat a few bites of the banh mi in store as this is the best way to eat it - fresh! First few bites were delicious - I understand why this particular banh mi gets sold out quickly. The bits of pork belly are heavy and rich paired with the golden crackling which give the sandwich another layer of texture. The pickled carrot and daikon as well as coriander helps cut the richness of the banh mi. Regardless, this particular banh is a huge portion where they do not skimp on the ingredients. Overall, a delicious place for banh mi in the downtown core near Yonge and Dundas. I definitely recommend that crackling banh mi - it is also important to eat the sandwich fresh so that you get the beautiful crunch of that bread as well. What a delicious banh mi! read more

This is a new Vietnamese cafe specializing in banh mi and drinks. The soft-opening was on 2026-05-04. The head chef is trained in Vietnam with 40 years of restaurantand bread making experience. The cafe is mainly a takeout place but there are a four little tables along bench seats. The "&"/And in the business name and products (banh mi and drinks), is to portray connection with the following: culture, people, stories, tradition, modern experience, and the Toronto community. All tea leaves and coffee beans are imported from Vietnam, to keep their taste as authenticas possible. They use less syrup to enhance the tea flavour, because the flavours are already infused in the tea leaves. The Banh Mi baguette is made from scratch in-house. The various banh mi are all versions available in Vietnam. There are some vegetarian versions too. The ingredients are made fresh each day, even including their butter. You can't tell but looking at the finished product, but just watch them load it on via the open kitchen! Along with the fresh crispy baguette, there is the standard fillings of butter, pate, sauce, cucumber, pickled carrots, and pickled daikon; you can also pay for more of any of these. The Cold Cuts had three types of sliced meat. The Cracle had very crispy Roast Pork Belly. The BBQ Pork was very flavourful and render. Our favorite banh mi was the BBQ Pork and the Cold Cuts. As for the drinks, they were well made. The fruit drinks had real pieces of fruit. The oolong and roast rice milk were spot on. The coffee was good. My favourite were the Lychee, Peach, and Oolong Roast Rice Milk. My wife's favourite were the Jasmine Oolong and Lychee. The vibe is blue, to portray one of class and enhances experience. There are a few small round tables to sit down and stand up. However, the restaurant is primarily a takeout place. There is a main kitchen in the back and a banh mi preparation open kitchen in the front, so that you can watch them make your banh mi with various ingredients. There are three owners, Tony, Thy, and Mathew. There is no free WiFi. The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. There are no customer washrooms. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Cold coffee and drinks available. Tried the cold cut sub and lemongrass chicken sub. The subs are massive. Probably the portion for 2-3 person per sub. Cold cut sub not bad. Lemon grass chicken sub as expected. Subs not super flavourful. Matcha strawberry ice tea just enough flavour and sweetness . Oolong jasmine milk tea had good balance. Cashier was friendly. 4 stars overall Meatball Banh 3 stars for flavour but 4 for overall texture and ingredients. I had 10 people in front of me but the assembly line was pretty quick. Got it in 10 mins while I stepped out to grab something from another store. Probably won't sit comfortably if they have a line up on there. Had the salted egg yolk meatball banh mi but I won't be ordering this again. Even with the spicy mayo it was way too sweet for me. I had to add salt and chilli oil when I got home. Heats well in the air fryer. Ingredients were good. The sandwich was good, crispy crust and soft inside ... the meatball was good too. Just the mayo and condiments were waaaaay too sweet. Newly open on Elm street, this new banh mi and viet drink shop was booming. The interior was super clean and classy with a some seating. Service was friendly and quick. From reviews, the owner is from Vietnam and has been making Banh mi for years. I didn't get to try their drinks but we did get the classic cold cut Banh mi that contains your usual cha lua, nem and pork belly cold cuts with pork floss and the usual pickled veggies, homemade viet mayo and pate. The banh mi bread is made fresh in house which isn't something you typically see in Toronto Banh mi. They also had a big selection of vegetarian sandwiches which is very neat. I will say the banh mi is on the pricier side (~$14) but they don't skim out on the filling. I want to come back for their crispy pork banh mi which sold out for the day but not bad for what it is. This is a new banh mi place in downtown Toronto on Elm Street. I tried the lemongrass chicken banh mi for 14.25 (before tax). It is a bit more expensive than other banh mi places, but the portion is relatively large and they do give you a lot of meat. I liked the bread, the pickled vegetables, but I did not like how the chicken still had the skin on it. The chicken was seasoned well and had a nice lemongrass flavor to it though. Overall, a decent banh mi, although it felt more of a fusion/upscale banh mi place as opposed to a more traditional banh mi sandwich. Also, I waited a quite a while for the banh mi.
