Best staff, amazing service, great food, and beautiful ambiance. We visited Andaaz for my birthday dinner. We did not make a reservation since we did not know if we were not sure of our timings but they accommodated us on a Monday afternoon. The staff was very good. We ordered mocktails to start with - Andaaz apna apna which was good to beat the summer and Serrano and Lemongrass punch which was delicious. We went with the appetizer we ordered andaaz katori chaat that was good and a platter. The platter had chole chawal bites - okish, pesto paneer - great, lotus root chips - yum, spinach and cheese cigar - great, mushroom and barley kebab - yum! For the mains, we ordered jaipuri malai makhana which was delicious. The gravy was super creamy. We paired it with butter naan. For dessert, we went with mango saffron kulfi baklava and it was delicious. They bought us a complimentary chocolate cake as it was my birthday and that was great too. It was a good portion.

Andaaz, which means style in Hindi, certainly offers style and flair in its elegant ambiance and extravagant presentation of pan-Indian cuisine. Executive chef Ashish Tiwari demonstrates his culinary creativity with sumptuous ghee-roasted lamb chops which are a must-order from the appetizers. Another standout was the eclectic vegetarian platter featuring delicious pesto paneer tikka and crispy Thai lotus root chips that taste like savory jalebis. The main course that we ordered was not as appealing as the appetizers. The Jaipuri malai kofta tomato curry was poured tableside by the attentive staff and went well with the freshly baked garlic naan but the kofta itself was not memorable. The serrano and lemongrass mocktail tasted like a spicy margarita and was well crafted. The textures of gulab had a stunning presentation but only the small scoop of gulab jamun ice cream was a standout as the rest of the components were mostly for show. It is quite expensive but worth going to once for a special occasion.

Good ambience and service . I thought the food was 3.5 out of 5 . We tried the appetizer platter . The meat was soft and juicy but a bit salty . We liked the entree more than the appetizers . There are other restaurants in the area that are 4 out of 5 with similar service and ambience. Will try it again .

I had a really nice time here . The atmosphere was elegant yet cozy with tasteful decor. The food was pretty good - every dish was carefully prepared and wonderfully presented. The service was just as impressive: the staff were attentive but not intrusive , always ready with a smile and helpful recommendations.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary here with family. Stepping into this type of spot, your expectations should be set for nyc fancy but with central jersey convenience aka there is a dress code, no children, prices are elevate and portions are small. BUTTT what they deliver is a wonderful ambiance with thoughtful rich interior, attentive service and quality food/presentations with fresh ingredients. Several items on their menu were really good like the pesto paneer and lotus root appetizer and the Multani Paneer Curry and Veg Biriyani. All the desserts and their presentation was lovely (several items served on dry ice). Finger bowls, a complimentary starter, a visit from the chef all also included in this dining experience. The location has plentiful parking and is also BYOB as well. Their Non alcohol drinks cocktails were also well curated - thoughtfully crafted than the routine mango/tamarind combinations standard at most indian restaurants. I'm looking forward to my next visit here - its truly a perfect spot to dress up and celebrate a life event/birthday/etc. I will say this isn't for random Sat dinner out; its a different type of dining atmosphere and vibes. I look forward to exploring more of their menu.

Beautiful ambiance with service to match. From the moment you enter you realize that this place is gorgeous. Remember it's a BYOB and you may want to have a drink inside this beautiful place. Chole appetizer reminded me of a playful fusion dish of an Indian Arancini. Lamb chops were executed differently than you'd expect and were stewed rather than grilled as an appetizer. Chicken kebabs were absolutely delicious and meant to be eaten wrapped in the accompanying naan style bread that had a chutney seared onto the bread. Jackfruit roll was beautiful and playfully presented. This dish was sweeter than I expected. This is a high end Indian restaurant we're each dish is beautifully presented with attentive service. This is not the typical Indian restaurant and the flavors may be different than what you're used to. Enjoy the experience.

Totally agree with some of the constructive reviews here. Lot of appetizer selection, sad when you arrive at the main course - not up to the taste at all! Ordered katori chaat which was the only item we liked. Main course - paneer tikka masala yuk! Took a take out dessert - ghevar n at home surprised to see the size - it was bonsai !!! The Paisam was sweet Milk - disgrace to Indian cuisine. Mock tails were ok, nothing special u wont get in nominal price. The waiters were overworked, didn't seem keen enough to make our experience any better. Total cost was over hyped, 18% service tax enforced + another service tax ?? The most disappointing experience especially if u r with a senior , not dressed for the occasion and are asked - ' r u here for the restroom only ?' So much for a 100$$ +++++ charge! Not worth it , won't be coming back here.

I came here for my birthday and was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! I was expecting it to be a regular Indian restaurant but I was proven wrong. This restaurant is so so aesthetically pleasing. Everything from the interior to the food is gorgeous! Each dish is so well crafted still holds the essence of Indian cooking. We got the vegetarian appetizer platter, the malai kofta, and bullet and garlic naan. The vegetarian appetizer was a lot bigger than we anticipated but we still ate everything! The presentation of the platter was also awesome. The malai kofta was really good as well but I think the naan stole the show. The bullet naan was genuinely spicy but went perfectly with the creamy malai kofta. We also got two drinks, both nonalcoholic. One was a seasonal drink and the other was the Serrano lemongrass punch. The punch was so good!! I wasn't expecting to like a spicy drink but it was awesome. I really loved coming to Andaaz and definitely think it's worth visiting!

I ordered the clay pot paneer tikka and it was horrible - the gravy tasted stale and tons of oil floating with 3 pieces of paneer 0/5

We visited Samudhra for a family dinner and quickly realized this is not your usual casual dinner…read morespot it has an elevated, polished vibe, so dress to impress when you plan your visit. The food was absolutely amazing, with flavors that were perfectly on point in every dish we tried. They also accommodate jain food upon special request. Their homemade paneer is a true standout and something we would definitely return for. Portion sizes were decent, making it ideal for a relaxed sit-down dinner with family. Prices are slightly on the higher side, and you might experience a bit of a wait once the order is placed, but the taste and ambiance make it well worth it. Overall, a wonderful dining experience and a great place for a memorable family night out.

This is one of the few upscale Indian restaurants in the area. The ambiance strikes a nice balance…read more- lively enough to feel energetic but still conducive to conversation. My only issue was the dim red lighting, which made it difficult to appreciate the vibrant colors of the dishes. Yes, it's on the pricier side, but the generous portions help justify the cost. The butter chicken was great and well-executed. The malai kofta, however, really needed naan to shine - it didn't quite hold up on its own. As for the drinks,, let's just say they don't skimp on the pour. ;) It's more of a 3.5-star experience. But since I have to round, I'm giving it 4 stars because of the service staff.

It definitely is a vast selection, but maybe we picked the wrong things. We had the following: Manchow soup with veg - good! Chicken 65 - lots of food coloring, so unhealthy, but dish was yummy Chili Lotus - lots of food coloring, but dish was yummy TM's Chicken Curry - coconut milk base dish, might be fine for someone else but tasted bland to me Lamb Biryani - I'm used to South Indian Hyderbadi Dum Biryani, so this biryani was not it for me. It has a tomato gravy type taste, and the lamb pieces were abundant and soft. It wasn't bad, but just not to my personal taste and anyone who's wishing to have something like a spicy Hyderbadi Dum Biryani, I would not recommend. Garlic naan- amazing Mango lassi - I've had better and would not recommend here. It was really thick and a little tasteless. They are a fusion restaurant, so I'm thinking maybe they made all the food taste a little blander to accommodate to everyone, but for anyone trying to get authentic spicy Indian food, I would not recommend. The vibe here is so nice though for a date or friends or gathering, plenty of space. The waiters and owners are extremely nice and attentive and polite.
