I absolutely love La Bon! They have so many options that you really don't need any other bakery. I order cakes here from all birthdays and significant events and they are able to accommodate different dietary restrictions. For example, I got a vegan cake for my mom's birthday and I didn't even miss the dairy. For my daughter's birthday, they recreated exactly the cake that I wanted based only on a picture, and it was perfect! There are a few gluten-friendly options and they are able to accommodate a lot of custom requests with some advanced notice. I love that they have specials for different holidays. I recently started taking advantages of their specials: I ordered a Triple Mousse Cake from their Valentine's Day specials (soooo good!) and a Berry Deluxe King Cake from their Mardi Gras specials. This was our second visit to La Bon Bake Shoppes, and we were in search of some cupcakes to compliment our barbeque and satisfy the cravings for both adults and children. The blue mermaid cupcakes were the dessert of choice for the four year old, to accompany an assortment of chocolate, vanilla and key lime cupcakes for the adults. The cupcakes were very attractive, and the key lime was a big hit with the adults. We were less impressed with the plain vanilla and chocolate. The mermaid cupcake was not only appreciated by the four year old, to her delight, she benefited with a brilliant blue tongue and lips. The items ranged from cupcakes to pastries to scones, etc. The prices were reasonable and the staff was friendly. 2 donuts (glazed and chocolate) and a chocolate chip brownie were ordered. The donuts overall were disappointing. They were both too doughy, which made them dry. The glazed and chocolate flavoring were okay though. The chocolate chip brownie was better. Appeared more like a mediocre spot which could do a bit of sprucing up iwith their presentation and decor . They also have hot coffee to buy making it a perfect spot for a quick morning stop. I got the Hungarian , red velvet and brownie cheesecake. Looked moist and and my nieces liked the red velvet . Hungarian was the original cheesecake with a little crystallized sugar sprinkled on top. Not sure why the name ! Maybe thats how cheesecake is served in Hungary ! Ordered sheet cake here for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Had never used La Bon Bakery before and chose it based on reviews. They did a phenomenal job. I sent a pic of the happy couple to be used on top of the cake and the words I wanted on the cake. When I picked it up I was more than pleased. And when everyone saw the cake later that evening, they were also amazed at how great it looked. But looks aren't everything. Many times bakery sheet cakes are just okay. This cake wasn't just okay, it was super delicious. I picked a chocolate cake with fudge icing, request of the bride to be. Everyone commented on how delicious the cake was and kept going back for another piece even though stuff from dinner. The cake was chocolatey, moist and not overly sweet. We ordered catering for a corporate event, from here and will never order again. This place is great for their baked goods but catering not at all. First of all they didn't even get the order right, we told them no coffee, we received coffee and was charge $40. we ordered for 30 people for the executive breakfast and we did not have enough for 30 people. There was BARELY any eggs, and deff not enough for 30 people. They gave us a ton of orange juice that was expired with 01-15-2018 date (today is 2-10-18) I would call them and complain but it's not even worth it, we just know not to order from them again.
