I haven't been to Confects in YEARS probably before COVID but I always remember it as being a family friendly little diner. It's cozy and the staff there are always so nice and welcoming. I noticed outside there were some chairs and tables which I'm sure is nice to eat out when it's warm enough. There's plenty of parking since it's in a little plaza near Job Lot so this location is very easy to find. We were a party of 5 adults and 1 baby so we needed a fairly big table since we were keeping the baby in the car seat. They were very accommodating and gave us a large booth area. I was surprised we were seated immediately considering this was a Sunday afternoon and I figured it would be super busy but it wasn't bad at all. All of our food came out fresh and fast which is always appreciated! For appetizer we got the caprese garlic bread which was perfect to share with 5 people. It was really flavorful and just enough to hold us over for the entree. I got the Chicken Mona Lisa for my entree and it was delicious! I especially liked the fried eggplant with the mozzarella that combo with the chicken and mashed potatoes was so good. The meal also came with a small side salad (not pictured) which you had a choice of a garden salad or Caesar salad. For dessert we were extremely full so we got a cookie skillet to share with our choice of vanilla ice cream. This was the right decision because it was just gooey and chocolately and it melts in your mouth- definitely the perfect bite to end this meal. 100% will be back. I would love to come back in the spring when it's a little warmer out and maybe sit outside. The inside was super cute and cozy for Christmas so I'm interested in seeing if they decorate for other seasons and maybe if they have any seasonal menu items. read more

Five stars for Confectionately Yours! We hosted our book club here last night and had a wonderful experience. The staff is incredibly accommodating--a special shout-out to Jody for setting up a perfect round table that made our group discussion so easy. Our server, Sarah, was fantastic, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious across the board; the burgers were cooked to perfection, and the ice cream is hands-down some of the creamiest I've ever had. It's also BYOB, which was perfect for our group to bring a few bottles of wine and relax. We will definitely be back! read more

I don't know what's happened since Covid but the quality of food went right down. Not only do you get less for your buck but the quality is awful. I ordered honey barbecue chicken salad and the chicken was breaded a fried. That's not barbecue chicken. The apples were old and tasted fermented. We had dinner yesterday and have to say that the Onion Soup was EXTRAORDINARY! My husband order this soup every time it's available on the menu. He said that this was the best he ever had. The staff was very friendly and nice, not too many people (it was quite later in the evening), but we will definitely go back more often. I got the savory French Onion Soup (delectable), Loaded Tator Tots (delicious) and a new favorite the Cookie Monster Sundae! This is three heaping scrumptious filling scoops of Cookie Monster and Vanilla Ice cream, cookie dough, cookie crumbles, three cookies, whipped cream and three cherries! So very sad to see this place fall so far from what it has been for a long time. St Patrick's Day there has always been very good! Went there every year with friends. This year was a shock. Spent over $200 for 6 take out dinners, $35 each now. I was ashamed to serve them. The corned beef was not slices, just a pile of awful looking meat bits with lots of fat. It looked disgusting. And the cabbage was so over cooked that we threw most of it in the garbage. I can only assume that there must have been a new chef in the kitchen, but that's no excuse for serving meals like this. Confectionately Yours never seizes to amaze me. Every time I go, the food is delicious and the ice cream is savory. With homemade meals and deserts for everyone including but not limited to chocolate treats and ice cream, you can't go wrong when you choose this place. A very cute and old-fashion dessert place that provides a little throwback to an ice cream parlor. I stopped by during a humid and hot day, perfect for ice cream. I asked to just eat our ice cream at the counter, since it is such a cute little area. Service was nice and friendly, with one waitress scooping our order the same time another was taking our order. Whiel the ambiance is quaint and lovely, the lower ranking stems from the tiny serving for the ice cream size. While it isn't an unreasonably small portion, their cup to ice cream ratio made the dessert look a bit sad (refer to the ice cream sundae picture), and the flavors of the ice cream were not as flavorful as I would hope. The cookie dough had 1 or 2 small cookie dough chunks and the cherry vanilla had a strong artificial flavor that just was not up my alley. They also have a full menu if you are looking for a meal instead of just dessert, but I didn't get the chance to check out their menu this time around. I might have gotten unlucky with my ice cream choices this time around, but the cute decorations and furnishing are enough to warrant a quick pit stop next time I am in the area. I highly recommend this cozy homestyle restaurant and ice cream shop! I've been here a few times and it's consistently excellent food at an affordable price. Today I got a very flavorful sandwich, the turkey avocado melt, with a generous portion of French fries, for $12.00. (A comparable size and quality sandwich and fries would easily cost $17 at other places.) The staff here is friendly and personable. I appreciate their customer service. They have a kids menu. The restaurant is clean, casual and comfortable. I love the colorful paper ice cream cones hanging from the ceiling. You can park for free in the huge and well lit parking lot. It's conveniently located and easy to find in a big strip mall on the corner of Rte 27. There's outside seating at tables on the sidewalk between the entrance and parking lot. Visited this place a few times before, even before they were an actual restaurant... they were just a sweet shop before with ice cream when I was growing up in the area. But, this is a family owned establishment and my aunt has been coming here to eat for years. This was her choice when I took her out to lunch to celebrate her birthday. It was such a beautiful early Spring day and they know how to do Easter, apparently. Decorated outside and inside .. a whole section of the shop filled with so many Easter treats! It was really fun to browse. Just put me in a pastel mood lol. On to the food, we were seated quickly.. not many people at 2:30 on a Thursday. Terry was our server and she was very nice. Food came out quickly. We ordered the fried green beans as an app and omg.. they were sooo good! And the dipping sauce was perfectly matched. I'd come back just to order these to to go! My aunt ordered the Jessica salad which is her go to.. she loved it.. I thought it sounded good with breaded chicken and honey mustard dressing.. my daughter ordered from the kids menu, which includes an entree with a side of fries, salad, or applesauce.. she picked cheese pizza and fries.. it comes with a drink and a scoop of ice cream. She loved her "unicorn" flavor! I ordered a bowl of chili that was delicious.. perfectly cooked chunks of beef, not the ground Wendy's stuff, topped with cheddar cheese. I loved it. My review's limited to just the ice cream. During the summertime, Confectionately Yours is finally open till past 10pm, which certainly makes it easier for me to come here instead of trekking to Princeton. I haven't had Confectionately Yours in ages, so this was truly a pleasant surprise. I ordered the single scoop Cookies n Cream ice cream. First, it's pretty damn generous of a single scoop. Second, I appreciated that it didn't immediately melt, which is always a pleasant surprise for me. At $4, it's near the high end for ice cream, but not the most expensive. However, I do wish that they accepted credit card payments regardless of threshold, The $10 minimum threshold is a bit of a bummer, since I don't always have smaller bills on me. Way back when, Franklin Towne Center used to be humming and Confectionately Yours fit perfectly well amongst the other shops. It's too bad the plaza has become quite quiet in the evening. What is bringing this place down is the teenage entitled workers. multiple times since July we have come in for just ice cream and have been left waiting at a table due to staff "not wanting to service us for just ice cream". This has been the past 3 times we have come. if these are your feelings at least do not let the customers hear you saying it from over the bar. If is a problem ask us to sit somewhere else or ask us to take it to go, we do not mind. As good as the ice cream is and the owner seems I do not think we will be back after this time. I really wanted to like this place, it's a local favorite, it's got some charm, and the chocolates and ice cream look great. I also love the idea of a rotating daily menu to keep things interesting. Unfortunately that is where the good ends. We had a short wait time as it was packed on a Friday. The place is okay on cleanliness but my main issue was that there was a spill from the previous party at our table and little was done to address it. One of the seats were wet and there was a large puddle of liquid on the floor. I wouldn't have minded if they took a little more time to tidy up the table before seating us. The busboy came over, did a rushed wipe and left without doing a full clean. Now onto the food, the asking price for the super combination seafood was $26 per plate. I figured for that price it's probably going to be large. But when it arrived it just felt underwhelming. I cleaned my plate and still felt hungry. There was 1 fish fillet, a couple of butterfly shrimp, some scallops and clam strips and a small helping of fries. It felt largely overpriced. Service was spectacular our waitress was friendly and upbeat. It's a shame our experience wasn't as great as the others have said, I was largely disappointed. read more

Eventually our food was dropped off and never saw her again until the bill came, we had to tell her we wanted dessert! Hamburger and chicken figures for the kids was just OK. The food was brought out quickly, with generous portions quality that reminded us of a nice home-cooked meal. Polite, efficient service as well, as our waitress regularly checked in on us. What truly made our experience unforgettable was when the owner comped our meal, as part of a Valentine's day tradition for her first customer of the evening, and encouraged us to pay it forward in return. Just stopped by Confectionately Yours for German night with the hubs! We have been here several times since my last review (it's my go-to place when we have company) and I felt the need to write a little more about how much I love this place. Everything I've ever had here has been fresh and delicious - from the fried pickles to the salads and burgers and wraps. Also the handmade ice cream and chocolates are the bomb dot com. For some reason we usually end up with the same server each time we visit (Evelyn) and she is always so sweet and attentive. Tonight we stuck with the special German menu and got pretzels with cheese and mustard, and we each ordered the sausage platter as our entree. The pretzels were pipin' hot and the sausage platter was very filling and included 3 sausages, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut and a side salad. I have come to this gem of a business since I lived in Princeton area since 1989...Food, homemade candy, ice cream is always top notch but today I have to give Stacey the owner an extra big shout out. Tomorrow is my future daughter in law's bridal shower and I wanted to do something special but I ran out of time yesterday. I called Stacey at 5:00pm yesterday during her busy dinner hour on Friday night. I told what I had in mind for a special chocolate shower favor I wanted to do. By the time I got up there, she had done a few chocolate mold samples made up, with beautiful wrapping in bridal party colors. I ordered 40 on the spot. They were beautiful sea shells so appropriate for my son's beach wedding. So delicious and beautiful with almost no lead time.
