Awesome small bar with great service and food. We will continue to come back. Had a great time and really good music too.

I'm about to bring you the peoples! Ok peoples, want to go out on a taco Tuesday? Nothing beats $2 tacos! Real tacos at that! Came here from a FB event that popped up on my feed and thought to myself... we gotta go! Made the trek here, the location of off Bonita rd with plenty of parking. It is a restaurant bar but gives more of bar vibes. The bar is VERY large but didn't partake in any alcoholic drinks. We came for TACOS! I was surprised to see that we were the only other customers there, only one other table had people so our food came out very quick. A plus for us... but if you want taco Tuesday with a not so busy place this is it! The tacos available were carne asada, pollo, fish, tripitas and a few others that I can't remember but they don't skip out on the options. The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars and this is more of a personal preference is that the tortillas were kinda hard along the edges and didn't seem fresh to me. They had a good flavor nonetheless and the meat in the tacos was on point! Our server was very nice and attentive, made our visit an easy one. We might make it our Tuesday spot moving forward just need more fresh tortillas :) read more

I was at Andale Restaurant several years ago and thought my friends and I would have some lunch. I've never been and neither have they. We sat in the patio area for couple minutes and then a couple more minutes hoping to see a server stop by and offer us drinks first prior to ordering. Still no server action, so we left. From what I recall, there were 2 other people at the bar when we arrived. On same note, my adult daughter and her girlfriends went out on a Friday or Saturday night sometime last summer and then went back again the following weekend and loved everything about their night out at Andale. Music was lit with 80s jam, drinks were on point and they had good old fashion fun. I believe they went a few times more and somehow after that, their outings had died out. So, back to my story again .... This past Wednesday my friends and I felt the need to decompress and shake off all the jeebie -weebies after attending a viewing that evening (my friend's father's viewing). Andale came to mind...it was open and it was just down the street from Glen Abbey. What a few drinks was for starters, the group ended racking up a $230 tab. There was party of 8-10 persons sitting at the reserved long table next to bar area. There were a couple more people sitting at the bar, while a few others were on stage karaoking and/or dancing. We liked it so much, we came back to Andale for part 2 ! Our experience at Andale was a good one. I hope, if you do try them out, that you will have nothing but positive reviews to share. Found hair and bugs in the food, the salad was dried out, called ahead and asked for a high chair then upon arrival they said high chairs were first come first serve AND OLNY HAS TWO, service was ok, food was never filled at all, LEFT THE BURNER/ HEATERS FOR FOOD OFF so cold and soggy and tap water. But the ambiance was nice although broken outlets and infrastructure. read more

Drinks were amazing!!! I had a Michelada with mango cart and a mango margarita. Both were so delicious!! Must check out the drinks! The food on the other hand... we had the calamari which was a 2/5 and we stopped there. We decided that food from here probably wasn't a good idea so we kept drinking and saved our food allowance for somewhere else. There is a full stage inside so I bet the nightlife is really fun! But coming in on a Saturday afternoon was dead. I'd like to add the bar tender lady was really nice and fun :) read more

It is truly sad to see there is zero willingness to value customers at this place. It is really stupid for servers or bartenders at Andale's to denied a soccer match to a customer, especially when you are going to a "Sports Bar". We had a soccer game and about 25 of us wanted to watch a soccer match after our game. I stopped at Andales and the woman who was serving/bar tendering basically stated that she was not going to check if the game was on, on her TV. as she had no time... and she was not willing to lend the remote control... Does she think she is at home? Dude,. there were 5 people in the whole restaurant!~ Where is the owner when this is happening? So we left to Tiki bar around the block. Dude! the manager at Tiki bar went above and beyond to help us and was very appreciative we he saw the big crowd of friends coming in to watch the game. The difference, well... Tiki bar is always full (GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE) and Andale Restaurant it is surprisingly, always empty. Hopefully, the owners get it right by hiring or training people to value their customers. I have to say that last year, they did have an amazing Argentinian young woman, who was beautiful, so attentive and yup, willing to get us a game... Salud! read more

Allow me to preface this with the ages of my group. There were four of us ranging from 55-63 and we arrived at Andale around 8:30pm on Friday, January 7 2022. The security guard at the door was charming and politely explained there was a $5 cover charge each because a band was going to be playing around 9:30pm. I asked what happens if they don't show (you know - covid, traffic, etc..) He said they would be there. Reluctantly, we paid cash to the security guard who placed in in his trusty zipped pouch. We entered a bar and saw a handful of patrons. I asked the bartender/server why the menu said NO COVER and the security guard was summoned to the table. He explained that it was an old menu. Of course, no one brought a new menu and no one offered to do anything to accommodate their error (no return of the cover, no discounts on any purchase). The 1st table we picked was in a cold zone so we moved to the opposite side of the bar and found a table with two broken bar stools. The tables were placed directly near a storage area so with Borat like sarcasm, it was real nice. The bar itself was sad and in my personal opinion in need of a good cleaning. Throughout our stay, the female bar keeper was super nice, attentive and she covered both the bar and the server duties. When we asked for a drink menu, she said they were full service and could make anything. So without knowing the prices, we ordered. The drinks were fine and the chorizo fries were great, but I personally want to at least have an idea of how much I'm spending before I decide what to order. Since we paid the cover charge to enter this establishment, we felt obligated to hear some music. The band arrived around 9:30pm and spent 45 excruciatingly long minutes setting up. Some servers dressed in all black showed up and I imagine they were they for the late crowd, because they didn't do anything (aside from retrieving a couple dishes) to provide any service to our table. Keep in mind there were only a few people seated at the bar and a couple tables on the floor with people. Without ever knowing who the band was, we listened to a couple of songs and left around 10:30pm. For what is worth, they band did sound good. On the way out, I looked at the security guard and gave him two thumbs down. He inquired as to why so we talked. He asked what he could do to make it up to me next time. I told him there wouldn't be a next time. Things should have been fixed when we were inside. He told me that I didn't need to talk to him like that. Cross my heart, I was polite and even told him he was a real charmer at the door. He explained there was a cover charge after 8:00pm so I said there should be a sign saying so. In my opinion, this place wasn't designed for inclusivity and appeared to be catering only to a younger crowded and not anyone in our age group. read more

Cool place , had a couple drinks and had my car towed . Will not return to this place ever again, had no reason to have it towed not sure if it's part of a scheme or not . But it was hard enough to find my car. Great music until they got rid of Manuel and his bad and replaced them with a trio of ladies, which are good just not the same feel or fun. Irene is one badass bartender, made us feel like we belonged, but has since left (problem with owner). DJ was told not to play too much Mexican Music. Heard it from a current worker there and also that he yells and berraids his workers and DJ. Went this past Friday and there were only about 15 people...sad. Won't be back anytime soon. read more

we attended hunk-o-mania here. the bar was a little dingy and the food looked dried out, but the manager had a kind face; a kind of sweet, hard working dad face that you just want to support. i docked major stars because the bartenders were so rude. we bought tickets to attend this show and in my group of 5, a few of us bought sodas to start with. i went up to the bar to ask for a cup of water. the girl took was gone for over 10 minutes. then a second girl came out and said they don't give out cups of water for free. weird, considering every other table had full pitchers of water and cups. she said she gave them waters because they purchased a lot of alcoholic drinks and she could tell i wasn't drinking. uh yeah, i'm the DD. and then they ended up overserving the girls next to us; a girl was falling all over the floor and ended up spilling all their drinks. aren't bartenders supposed to cut people off when they're belligerent? and then the show started and the bartenders made gagging stink faces the whole time. like, save the judgement when you're off the clock, ladies. also the bathroom was disgustingly dirty, but the parking lot was big and convenient. read more

This place was pretty poppin for a restaurant! Came here on a Saturday night with my mom, my cousin, and his friends for dinner where we had the lobster meal. It was good and the drinks were even better. There was a $5 cover if you get there after 8pm since there was a DJ. it was an older crowd for sure but totally a vibe with the salsa and merengue hits. I was surprised they didn't play as much Colombian music seeing as it's a Colombian bar. All in all, a great time. read more

I feel bad with my rating because the waitress was nice but man I do this to save someone from eating the food. We came for taco Tuesday. I got Carne Asada and chicken. Both seemed to be on day 3 of being reheated. Super crispy / hard - obviously reheated. The salsa was acidic, also tasting past its shelf life. The rice looked like rice o roni Pilaf with this pretty interesting seasoning. I couldn't eat it. I only took one bite and had to stop. I felt super bad and hid the tacos in the chips. Karaoke started when we left so maybe the atmosphere and drinks are great ?? Just eat before you go. We walked over to JJs for the win. read more

Myself and friends go often to Andale on Saturday as the band Cuban4 ever plays. The waiters are ver attentive, drinks are good you have to try frozen Mango Margarita it is delish. Good is good, they have a simple The atmosphere is great, however it is so hot that you dance one song and everyone is sweating really bad. The AC I don't think is working properly. I do recommend this place on Saturday to have a good time but take a fan with you! read more

Food wasn't bad, I had the chicharron and my gf had the cheeseburger. The draft beer was pretty bad the beer was either old, lines weren't maintained, or the CO2 pressure was off. I'f avoid anything on tap I powered through and awful beer as someone sent theirs back and requested a bottle. Purchased tickets drag show here and it was insanely disorganized, the staff had zero change for the show, staff were either preoccupied or attentive yet condescending in tone. The show began we enjoyed one performer and then the place became a standing room -people were directed to just stand in front of your seats. I'd advise against thinking about this venue. The whole experience from beginning to end was as obnoxious as can be. read more

If I can give a 0 I would. We went to this place because they had advertised Lobster Fest in the Eastlake Food to Go forum. It said reservations required....I was able to make reservations. We got there and the servers looked so confused. Told them we had reservations. Took a while before we got seated and the made us sit in a dirty table and didn't even try to clean it. Diana and Manny are awesome. They have great attitudes and make sure you feel welcome and at home. The music is popping and being able to watch a soccer game MEX vs CAN and watch a baseball game Padres vs Colorado Rockies is firme. Came for taco Tuesday, tacos were delicious, server was supper nice and helpful, beer is nice and cold from the tap recommend !

Pros: - DJ plays music weekend evenings. Live band come on at 10p I believe (salsa genre) - ambiance and vibe of restaurant is somewhat traditional Mexican although interior is quite drab - seating outdoors seems to seat a lot of people Cons: - food is not very good. Calamari was very oily. Ceviche was absolutely horrible - shrimp literally was mushy. Papas locos I believe is what it's called (their version of potato wedges carne asada w sides) wasn't too bad but also very oily. We had more dishes but all were bland and not tasteful. - portions were very small in respect to cost. - alcohol beverages were very pricey for this type & location venue restaurant. Pitcher of beer was $25. - I would say service was good as initially it seemed to be but after getting our tab, our cost was way overpriced and very likely charged more than what we ordered. Our uber was waiting and we couldn't review the tab with the manager. I plan on taking this up separately with the manager if I'm not contacted from this review. Absolutely not acceptable. This was our first time here and it was amazing. The ambiance is super nice, they play a lot of rock en español. The menu was very varied and Latin American inspired. We ordered this seafood dish and the octopus was soft!! Also the lobster was delicious. The manager was extremely friendly and allowed us to use a coupon and recommended to us their brunch buffet every weekend. I guess that they have live music and a DJ but not when we were there. This review is based on the 2 servers. I went there with my family on June 5th 2021. We had a big group but that doesn't excuse the service. The food was good but it was brought out cold. The servers don't write things down. They take orders and don't write them down. So basically they bring out the wrong orders. The 2 servers didn't work together seems like they don't like one another. In a work environment you need to work together regardless of what personal issues you have. The management is a failure also. When you have good management, the service is good. read more

Tacos are fire, however that's all that's really going on here. The drink specials are specials for a reason. Dope they offer the entire draft no matter the brew for five bucks but it's not even a decent glass for it. Then let's not even talk about the service, or rather the random ghost you may see. We were looking for a place to take my dad for Father's Day that offered karaoke. We called ahead and we're told Sunday's from 7:30pm to closing. I made a reservation for 7 ppl and our party included 3 children. The person who took my info did mention I'll take down your reservation and just Fyi little ones need to leave by 10pm due to place serving alcohol and a bar. We were cool Witt this rule and understand. When we arrived at the restaurant it was only around 7:15pm and my parents were stuff eating dinner but at least 5 of our party arrived. We ordered a few items from the menu and drinks while waiting for dj to set up. Waitress was really nice and sweet offered getting French fries for my daughters and very attentive as we were the only party in the whole restaurant. We noticed nothing was happening for about 30mins so my brother asked the dj about how much longer on the karaoke. Dj then proceeded to tell him that the previous person took all equipment down and he needed to get everything set up and it was going to take him a few minutes. We didn't mind as we were still waiting on my dad (father's day special guest). Parents then arrived at about 8:10pm and we mingled and talked , they ordered drinks and still no karaoke. Well I finally stood up at 8:30 because I wanted to sing something for my dad and mentioned this to the dj. Then he still proceeded to saying the same lame excuse to my brother but this time he was hanging out talking to waitress and not giving much attention. We finally decided to leave as it had been more than an hour and no karaoke. Only the dj playing music and chatting with waitresses. Real bad service from him as this was the only reason we decided to go in tonight. Never again coming here where something is advertised and even confirmed over the phone and then make you wait for no reason. Oh yeah our bill was over $100 bucks too! read more
