I have been here a couple of times. It is delicious. I've had the steak and a couple different pasta dishes. The steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. Martha's spaghetti is delicious and a little spicy and full of flavor. I also have had the Parmesan crusted penne and it was delicious and a good portion. Cute intimate dark spot that is good for a date. Amazing service!

If you plan on ordering a steak to-go they do not cut the steak and also didnt include utensils. Forgot dressings for both salads. Things should not fall through the cracks when the restaurant is slow. Not cutting a to-go steak is just flat out lazy. Dining in isnt much different. Been for dinner on a slow week night and service was very slow. Food was great but the service, not so much.

We ordered the Filet Mignon and Lemon Chicken. Took a while to get the menus and to order our drinks . Both dishes were good, service was good, price a tad high. Weird thing was when they covered the cloth table cloth with brown paper. That took the ambience down quite a bit. I could see that if this was a crab shack, but it made me feel like I should be sitting in a high chair with a bib, too.

The food is great. I've order about 6 or 7 different things. Every dish is delicious. The service is terrible. The place is dirty. The cost is too high for the service, not the food. The lady up front always has that face, you know which one. The servers are also bad, dirty, are always rushing to walk somewhere and have no sense of common courtesy. I've gotten bumped twice by someone walking food. Funny. 5 star food, zero star service.

If you're looking for a hidden gem, Romesco Mediterranean Bistro in Bonita, CA is it! This spot blends Mexican and Mediterranean flavors with a mix of bistro vibes and a chill tapas bar. I couldn't get enough of the Bone Marrow Sope, their famous Caesar Salad, and the Paella. But the real star for me? The Spaghetti Alla Bolognese--so good it's unforgettable. Oh, and funny story: I tried their Mezcaleria Special, a mezcal shot with chili salt, orange slices, and... grasshoppers! I didn't realize what I was eating until after the first bite--talk about a surprise! And guess what? They were actually delicious. We ended the night with their creamy Tiramisu, and with live music in the background, you know this girl just had to dance the night away! Happy Hour makes it even better: * All day Tuesdays * Weekdays from 3-7 PM Half-off tapas plus $9 House Margaritas, Sangrias, and House Martinis? Yes, please! Huge shoutout to our amazing server, Gustavo, and the talented bartender, Gil, for making our night extra special! Whether you're here for a casual bite, good music, or a fun night out, Romesco's is a must-visit.

Wedge salad lacked a little flavor but not bad, everything else was flavorful. The quail is delicious!

We celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary here last night and couldn't have chosen a better spot. We had reservations and were seated on the patio, which made for a wonderful atmosphere. The service was outstanding, the food was excellent, and my whole family truly enjoyed the experience--especially my wife. A perfect place to celebrate a special occasion with Great hospitality.

Honestly I'm really at 3.5 and have been torn which way to lean.... I was surprised what shopping center this was in because the inside was well decorated. The restaurant is elegant with an almost open kitchen concept. The food was good! I enjoyed every bite that was brought to the table. Compliments to all the cooks. Unfortunately, there were some negatives. The drinks tasted like pure syrup with no alcohol. But the worst part was the person who served us. I watched as every other staff member was attentive, kind and happy to be there. When asked about the food, we got "it's good" no matter the question. We asked if there was a preference on specific entrees and still receive they are both good. We finished our drinks early on but weren't asked if we wanted anything else until we were completely finished. We had to waive down our server to ask for a dessert menu and again when we wanted the bill. To sum it up, if someone said want to go with me to Romesco, I would say sure but I wouldn't be the one to say let's go!

Anza-Borrego is probably the closest, but I like Thompson-Okanagan best.

Like every boyfriend who wants to show his adoration for his gorgeous girlfriend, I planned this event a few weeks ago. Commitment & dedication are key. Flamenco Show, 3 course dinner for two, AND dancing after?! Yeah, your amigo has it covered! This package is available on their website, and not only on Valentine's. But this day does make it more romantic! A minor 5-10 minute wait as we stepped out of our Uber to the front entrance of the club adjacent to the restaurant. Our lovely hostess greeted us & escorted us downstairs to pick our table. There were no specific table reservations, but all seats are good, as it's a small venue. The Love Gods smiled upon us and granted a table close to the front with an awesome view of the stage. Perfect table for the perfect date! Starters set the tone. What's this? A Welcome Charcuterie Platter?! It appears out of nowhere as our server takes our drink orders. The service here is impeccable! Impressive spread of cheesy, meaty goodness! The Shaved Jamón Serrano Ensalada Sevillana has a wonderfully zesty citrus vinaigrette that makes you clack your castanets! Ole!! Cocktails for the cute couple! A Oaxacan Flower for my Monterrey Mami! My gal loves her some mezcal! I opted for El Matador Margarita, because I know what I want...tequila! Plus the cucumber counts as healthy! I will die on this hill! The Main Course is the star of the show. And in full diva fashion, the Lobster Paella Valenciana stole the spotlight! A masterfully, monstrous mix of meat & seafood, all on top of some bomb-a** Saffron Bomba Rice! There's even a lobster tail in case you're still hungry! Queue the Flamenco show. The two dancers were elegant, the music was powerful, the singer sublime! Enjoy your dinner to a phenomenal 2 part show put on by very talented artists! We got to meet them after the show, as they personally thanked practically every guest! Elegant as their artform! Lest we forget the dessert! The Flourless Chocolate Cake was just the right amount of sweetness to cap off the dinner & show, as we shared our own sweet nothings. Love & Chocolate, a perfect combo, just like my beloved beauty & her humble narrator. As the performers were packing up & saying their final goodbyes, the staff was clearing the space for the last part of our adventure...dancing! A brief 15ish minute wait back outside & back inside we went! Got a great spot up front by the stage, but be aware the only sitting will be done by the VIP section. I believe it's bottle service only, but you can ask. We didn't, as we did not intend to sit at all! We boogied down, baby! The DJ did a great job keeping the vibe alive. Perfect ending to a perfect night. *Caveat - The dinner menu has other options & several a la carte items, if you so choose. Check their website for specific package info. You cannot go wrong. TL:DR - Never give up on love!

The general manager came over and chitchatted with our table. I was the one who called the meeting, I chose the place via Yelp reviews. However, when the GM found out it was all three of our first time he proceeded to hand out his card. The guy that met me there was handed one, then my son who lives in Irvine was handed one. However, when I reached my hand out, he hesitated. I told him we don't live together (speaking of my son who was sitting next to me) and he started to hand it to me, but then pulled it back. He informed me it's in case we come back... funny, our topic of conversation that day was how hard it was for women growing up in my era and working their way up the ladder... how times have changed. Upon leaving, my guest laughed and said his wife would've gone ballistic at how the only woman at the table was treated. The GM appeared to look like we were the same age. I was quite insulted by his behavior. I hope something can be learned for my honest review. I did get a card, but I don't think I'll be back.

We got there around 9:20pm & instead of being welcomed, the first thing we were told was that they actually close at 10 cuz it was "slow." That was already frustrating cuz if their hours were updated correctly, we wouldn't have wasted the drive. We left to look for other options next door, but since everything else was closed, we came back literally 3 mins later. From that point on, it was obvious the server was annoyed we came back. The service was disappointing from start to finish. She barely checked on us, never came back to ask how the food was, and my boyfriend had to wave her down just to get a refill. It felt like we were inconveniencing them the entire time. To top it off, when we asked if we could get churros to go since they seemed in a rush to close, we were told no. Even drinks and certain menu items were apparently limited cuz they were trying to shut down early. SMH. The food was okay at best, but the service and overall experience completely ruined it. If your business says you're open until 12, honor those hours or update them. Customers shouldn't feel unwelcome for showing up during your posted business hours. Being slow isn't an excuse for bad service. If customers walking in during POSTED business hours feels like an inconvenience, maybe the hospitality industry isn't the right fit. We won't be coming back at all.

First off, the little vase of fresh pink mums and yarrow sitting on our table set the whole tone. Small touch, but it made the space feel warm and intentional, like someone actually cares about the details here. Then the focaccia arrived and I nearly canceled the rest of the order just to keep eating that. Fluffy, herby, golden on top, served with a little pool of good olive oil and balsamic and a sprig of rosemary for good measure. Simple bread done right is a great sign for what's coming. The corn soup absolutely stole the show for me -- silky, sweet, savory, dotted with little corn-studded toasts, chili oil, toasted nuts, and edible flowers on top. It looked like something out of a magazine and tasted even better. Genuinely one of the prettiest bowls of soup I've had in a while. The meatballs in broth with olives and fresh herbs were comforting in that "I want to eat this on a rainy day" kind of way, and the sliced beef with blood orange, trout roe, and microgreens was such a fun, unexpected flavor combo -- bright citrus against rich, tender meat, with little pops of roe for texture. Chef's kiss. And then the fry bread with braised meat stew and pickled onion at the end? Absolute knockout. That fry bread was crispy-chewy perfection, made for scooping up every last bit of that rich, saucy stew. Everything here felt thoughtful -- not overly fussy, just food made by people who genuinely enjoy feeding people well. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Our 20th wedding anniversary was spent at our true guilty pleasure: Dija Mara…read more We would have loved to get everything on the menu but honestly we get stuffed really quickly and tried to stick with the perfected dishes: Grilled Roti with Lamb Jus Curry Sea Bream Ceviche Actually we noticed the menu didn't mention "Sea Bream" anymore and just said "Local Ceviche". Did they change fish? Tasted the same basically. Still amazing as always. We also tried some new dishes: Beef Tartare Chicken Thigh Skewers Green Curry Mussels The Beef Tartare was just okay. It's the only dish I probably would not ever order again. It wasn't bad, but compared to every other banger on the menu, it's last. Something has to be last. The Chicken Thigh Skewers were AMAZING! OMG, so much flavor in the chicken but the sauce really drove it overboard. Wow. These are a must try, you won't regret it. And lastly, the Green Curry Mussels blew us away. I love mussels and always order it whenever I see it on a menu. We devoured all of the mussels (and added the $9 Roti) and even got a container to-go to save the broth, lol. Truly another banger from Dija Mara. I really appreciate that the menu changes periodically without removing the veteran dishes we continue to enjoy. Just want to mention something besides the culinary spectacles. Dija Mara's decor is every bit as memorable as its food. The artwork isn't an afterthought--it's part of the experience. The dining room manages to feel both trendy and intimate at the same time, while the graffiti-covered back wall adds a playful, street-art feel that contrasts beautifully with the polished food and cocktails. The result is a space that feels creative, unpretentious, and genuinely cool. The industrial concrete and reclaimed wood elements give it a modern edge, while the Indonesian-inspired art creates a sense of place that feels completely unique in North County. This is really our happy place and I hope it never changes.

What a disappointment. I had high expectations due to the Michelin bib Gourmand award, but the…read moreflavors fell extremely short. The restaurant was fairly empty although Resy wouldn't take reservations. Plenty of bar seating. The service was fair, not particularly warm or engaging, which was fine. The food was alluring and beautiful, but the flavors were salty, flat, and mushy. Starting with the Paloma, it was nothing special. Just something you could get with a well happy hour special. Serviceable but unremarkable. Very Instagrammable, however. The pork belly was nicely charred and had nice bite sized morsels on the skewer, good texture, but the sauce was very salty, almost bitter. Forced myself to eat the 2nd skewer, but could not push through the last 2. In contradistinction, the beef rendang was almost bland, like a microwaveable peanut butter Hormel beef stew, and the cardinal sin - the rice underneath was mushy. That was what sealed the nail on the coffin. Bland, albeit tender short rib, on top of smushy rice. Dead. I barely ate one of the 2 pieces of ribs and couldn't do more. The staff wanted to see if I wanted a take out container. When you see a customer that disengaged with the food, you'd better be wary. Being Asian, I don't like to waste food, but when it's so not good, I'd rather walk away and get something else than to finish a terrible meal. Many diners have a millennia of choices in this price point. Sadly, not sure how this restaurant got recognition because it's half as delicious as your typical neighborhood Thai restaurant. Banana Leaf at the Original farmers market in LA is better, though humble and homely. Just very disappointing. Hope it was an off night and that others have a better experience.

I made a reservation (just in case) because on a weekend you never know. Luckily, though, we arrived and there was plenty of available seating. My husband and I had our 10 and 5 year old with us and they easily accommodated us. It's a straightforward, but lovely menu that has a little bit for everyone. We enjoyed sharing a few plates and fresh oysters on the half shell. They do not have a kids menu, which was alright with us. Our daughter, who loves a good steak at 5 years old, enjoyed their pub steak and fries and shared a Mexican Coke with her brother. For my husband and I, we enjoyed sharing their beef tartare and to finish it off, a banana split. What we found so whimsical about Finca is their presentation. My husband and I really enjoyed exploring their menu and leaving room for a return visit soon. I couldn't recommend Finca more for anyone looking for a fun and casual dining experience with a lovely staff and unique take on traditional favorites.

I think we ordered just about everything on the left side of the menu, but the standouts were the beef tartare, the lamb osso buco, and the hamachi. Honestly, there wasn't a single bad bite all night. The wine list is thoughtfully curated, with some unique Spanish selections that were a pleasant surprise. This may have just become my new regular haunt. It's a fantastic neighborhood gem that deserves a place on any foodie's must-visit list. Absolutely love this place!
