Classic soicy tunah and Forbidden roll.

Wow. Finally got to try this place. It appeared on my IG feed and although most IG recommended places aren't great I still decided to try this place after seeing his IG videos on the process of making vegan sushi. It was raining hard and the chef still came out with my food even though I texted for the rain to die down once I got there. What dedication! Very polite and held the umbrella until I closed my car door. I ordered the Forbidden sushi roll and the Classic Spicy Tuna. Let me start my saying I am an omnivore. The spicy tuna was really superb. The forbidden roll I had doubts after people put reviews about it being mixed and too many different flavors but personally I thought it was good. The miso smashed potato was excellent and the presentation is spectacular. This chef obviously puts care into what he cooks and takes into consideration the quality he wants for his clientele. This vegan sushi is enough to make anyone go vegan for life. I also want to note that the price range was equivalent to what is being offered here. I see folks trying to justify the pricing and why you should pay this amount. Any surgeon getting 6 figures is never questioned and in fact surgeons have years of experience and schooling they go through. This chef has proven he has well over 16 years making sushi so the price for his food is reasonable in my opinion. Great job chef! Really made my day with an amazing lunch!

Recommend? Yes!!! I highly recommend this vegan sushi ghost kitchen! Like other reviewers have mentioned, they make their "fish" in house. I ordered the inari and the Lady Red and they were both delicious. In a world of avocado rolls, they're a real standout.

What an exceptional Sushi experience! The food is as beautiful as it tasted! Chef Chris is amazing and you can taste the passion and love for food in his work! He's a down to earth humble guy who is a master at creating culinary magic! We are lucky to live close by cuz this will be my forever favorite spot!

So good and unique! I found this place on Yelp and wanted to try it! I found their website and checked out their Instagram and it looked so cool! I ordered online the morning of the pickup and the pickup went smoothly. It was a house and there is directions on how to pick up. The presentation of everything was beautiful! Each box came with soy sauce ginger and wasabi. I also like how everything had a label because we probably would have been confused on what was what. We ordered the following and my review follows- The green goddess- I liked it, wasn't too much of the spinach inside but still good Forbidden- this one is interesting, so many different flavors in one bite but so delicious! I'm not too much of a fan with fake meat since it freaks me out a little but everyone liked this one and I thought it was interesting! Avacado- typical avacado, nothing to special but as always good Truffle edamame- this one was a bit sweeter but dipped in the soy sauce delicious- had a mix of sweet and salty Spicy Mami, hot tamale- one of my favorite, not too spicy, but had sweetness of the sweet potato I do want to order from here again and try some of their other items! Highly recommend even for someone who's not vegan or vegetarian!!

Hands down in the top 2 vegetarian sushi I've eaten globally and I hunt for vegan sushi everywhere I go. The taste and presentation as was the creativity of the menu were amazing. It's a bit pricey but the chef clearly takes sushi making as an art. He even threw an extra order in for free for the holidays. If you like sushi, especially if it's vegetarian I highly recommend you try it.

Very disappointed this food wasn't honestly terrible couldn't even eat the food at all was under cooked and tasted not fresh like what going on !!!

wow!! amazingly delicious vegan sushi! leaving Houston rn, actually in the air heading back to Oakland and all I can think about is how delicious, well thought out and expertly executed the vegan sushi spot is! it's drive up, curbside service and the owner is very kind and warm. had a great conversation with him since it was near closing. be patient with him, this is a one-man-show and this man is making some delicious a** sushi!! did I mention how gorgeous each roll was?! can't wait to go back! y'all better do whatever you gotta do to keep this place open and I ain't joking !

    Home plated.

No dine in option, so I can't speak for the ambiance but the outside and curbside service was nice. This was definitely worth the drive fiwm Humble to Midtown. I've been wanting to try this sushi for a while. I must say that it's the best I've had since moving to the Houston area. Very fresh ingredients and the boxes were packed so neat. I had the Truffle Edamame Roll, the Papi Shrooms Roll and the Spicy Dragon Roll (GF) with fresh micro-green. I'm sure I'll be ordering again.

    Inari-Tofu Pockets, Seaweed salad

Loved the Inari -Tofu pockets! I'll definitely be ordering again! Packed with flavor and very filling!

The food was excellent! I got the rock n roll soooo good and i got the classic tuna roll sooo good. I will definitely go back. And the service was amazing too.

Rock n Roll and Spicy Dragon Roll. Both really good!!!
    Helen M.

Very good sushi rolls --ordered the Rock n Roll and Spicy Dragon. So flavorful and lovely presentation, I will definitely order these again but it was my first time here and need to try so many more of the other options that looked irresistible. Definitely will be back here for sure to explore more of the menu! I did take out and they brought it out to me so don't know what their physical location is like but will try that next time.

All had really great flavors but my personal favorite was the tantan noodles which came with poached egg, sauce, and garnishes that you got to mix into the noodles. Super creamy and nutty! The Chawanmushi was decent but it was a little different than I expected. It had a little bit more liquid at the top of the egg custard. The flavor was fine nothing overpowered and it was soft and had that gelatin mush to it. The carbonara udon pasta was creamy and tasted exactly how I imagined it would which was smooth and creamy with a little crispiness from the pieces of bacon. Just make sure you mix the egg into the pasta to give it that rich creaminess. The only dish I would say that was underwhelming was the crispy rice. I guess my expectation would be a little less rice and a balance of the crispy rice around it. It reminded me more so of a thick fried outer crust. However, I did like the fish and meat they used on top of the crispy rice. They all had their own flavors. The Handroll tasting is probably the most interesting dish I ordered. It seemed to have a good portion of fish and they try to keep the seaweed nice and crispy by leaving the plastic film over the seaweed. The flavors of the Handrolls were subtle. They did make a nice presentation. The salmon flight was pretty good you definitely could tell from the different cuts and fattiness of the salmon. My favorite was the aburi cheese the scorched cream cheese gave the salmon a melted coating of cheese and made it silky and smooth. The nigiri platter was almost like a flight of nigiri. In the order I ate them they got progressively better. My favorite was the scallop and tuna. The only roll I tried was the royal chutoro. The portion was a good ratio of rice to fish and the tobiko gave it a slight crunch. as service and parking. The parking costs $10 and it's only Valet. If you decide to park on the curb somewhere you will get a parking ticket (I saw a guy placing tickets on cars). The atmosphere was upscale and you can tell they try to emulate Japan with the decor(zen inspired). Overall, the fish was tasted fresh and the vibes were there. However, I do think everything was a bit overpriced compared to competitors.

For the price being charged I expected flavors or techniques that would separate it from other strong sushi options but that never quite happened. Everything was pleasant yet ultimately unremarkable. I get the sense that Neo receives rave reviews because people want it to feel special. The exclusivity the setting and the concept do a lot of the heavy lifting. We had a 7pm reservation for two, and it was in a corner with a small table and high bar stools. It was very hot. We were sweaty, and I am normally very cold in restaurants. I think they go a little overboard with saying that having food here is like traveling the world and breaks down barriers. I like the concept though. They could do more with the decor to give it more of a world traveler vibe. They definitely tried. They were playing American hip hop music, which does not fit the international theme. We got the three course dinner, which was $60 each plus tip. The food was good but did not feel like it was worth the price. For appetizers, we got the Mochiko Chicken and Crispy Pork Belly in Pasilla Sauce. We liked the chicken a lot, and it came with a sweet mango chutney and spicy mayo sauce. The pork belly was alright. It was pretty standard. For entrees, we got the Singaporean Shrimp Laksa and Nigerian Suya Skewers. I liked the noodles and curry, but the fish cakes were not that appetizing. The skin was much bigger than the meat inside, so it would weirdly inflate or deflate. The shrimp came with their tails on, so I got my hands slimy with curry. I did not personally try the beef, but I was informed it was a 3.85/5 and 4/5 with the sauce. The laksa was a decently sized portion, but the beef was quite the small portion with a few chunks and a bit of rice and tomatoes. For dessert, we enjoyed the Orange Torta Caprese and New Orleans Bourbon Bread Pudding. I was kind of confused why the chocolate cake was called torta. It was very small but nice and rich. The orange flavour was strong. The bread pudding, on the other hand, was very big. Although it wasn't pudding. There was a large piece of the bread in whole form. It was delicious. I did not taste bourbon.
