Service was was A1, the guy taking our order was also cooking so for him to had been busy and taking orders, the smile he gave was reassuring he could handle himself. He also made sure he gave me the biggest piece of cake Shoutout to him for that!!!! Now what y'all are really waiting for.... The food review. We ordered: Shroom Tacos (3) - 8.5/10 because they skimpy. It came with chopped white onions and limes on the side. The problem was there was an upcharge for oyster mushrooms but wasn't filled up with the mushrooms. I shouldn't bite into a taco and end up with just tortilla. And the limes were dry. However, the flavor of the tacos were A1. Chicken Chikn Alfredo sub Oyster Mushrooms- 7.5/10 because NO EXPLOSION OF FLAVOR. It was INSIPID. However, the noodles were cooked well, sauce was saucin' and they didn't skimp on the mushrooms in this dish. BUT they could've gave more pasta as a whole, it really wasn't much in there. Philly Steak Sub sub Oyster Mushrooms with KORNY SAUCE- 7/10. It lacked flavor AND there was barely enough mushrooms for how big the sandwich bread was. There was plenty onions and peppers which were cooked well but that's not what we were looking forward to. In addition, we couldn't even tell whether there was KORNY sauce added to it or not. Cookies and Cream Milkshake- 7/10. It was pretty good. Nothing special. Had a good consistency and flavor. German Chocolate Cake- 5.5/10. The cake itself was cooked well and really good. The icing which was coconut and something else wasn't very appetizing or appealing nor was it sweet. It was cold but we prefer our cakes room temperature. Overall, we would go back for the shroom tacos and probably try something else. They did have a very extensive menu. So I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others to try for themselves. read more

We had passed by this place a few times and finally decided to give it a try. I almost let the Yelp reviews discourage me, but as someone who enjoys sharing honest feedback, I wanted to experience it for myself. I'm visiting from Florida on a work trip, so I'll keep it brief. The interior could use some updated furniture, but honestly, it didn't take away from the experience. The AC worked well, and it was comfortable inside. The concrete floors might come across as "unfinished" or even dirty at first glance, but it felt more like part of the place's hip, industrial vibe. It's an older building with plenty of character. The person who took our order was very friendly and offered great recommendations. We tried the steak tacos, okra bites, and taquitos and everything was absolutely delicious. This place doesn't miss. Genuinely so grateful this restaurant lives in Houston. Vegan or non vegan, this place makes incredible food. Very diverse and interesting menu. Seasonal items with classic staples that never leave. Very flavorful and well prepared dishes at a reasonable price point. Restaurant is fast casual & it's easy to order at the counter and sit wherever you'd like. It's not as comfortable inside as I would prefer, but I do enjoy their patio. It's definitely a place you can sit and enjoy your meal, I just look forward to the day they replace their furniture. Too many carbs for me. The hash browns were good and the pancakes were okay. I'd give them a 3/5 They weren't fluffy enough but perhaps it's because of the ingredients used to cook them. A Houston Vegan Gem! I recently visited Korny Vibes with my two girlfriends for brunch, and I have to say, this place is absolutely amazing. As a non-vegan, I was a little skeptical, but the menu is almost entirely vegan and everything we tried was delicious and service was pretty fast. We ordered a group deal that was an incredible value: two burgers, boneless-style wings, a large tater tot, three crunchy tacos that reminded me of Jack-in-the-Box, and two drinks--all for under $50. The food didn't have that "fake vegan" taste that some places do; everything was well-seasoned or perfectly sauced. My best friend, who is vegan, was just as impressed. Full disclosure: on a new whole food kick. I was nearby, picking up my pup, and thought I'd find a convenient place with whole food and a place for the pup to be outside. Enter Korny Vibes! The staff were friendly, though given my whole food kick and realizing Korny Vibes was vegan, I was surprised by how little of the menu had "real" food options (lots of imitation items instead). I wanted multiple items, but I have a small stomach, so I ended up only getting the tacos for fear of not being able to finish the item. I honestly don't understand why this place gets so much praise in the Houston vegan community. Every time I give it another chance, I leave disappointed. The restaurant itself is dirty -- discolored seating, sticky tables, and air vents coated in what looks like dust, mold, or both. It's not a great first impression and doesn't improve once you sit down. The food is just as bad. Nearly everything tastes like premade, frozen products. The "carne asada" had an unpleasant, almost canned flavor. The fries were undercooked and mushy, the queso was inedible, and the sandwich bun was somehow cold in spots, warm in others, and tasted stale. The buffalo sandwich was drowning in breading and sauce, to the point where it felt like it was being used to cover something up. I try this place again every couple of years hoping it's improved, and every time it's the same result. I've never left feeling like I had a good meal -- if anything, it usually leaves my stomach upset for the rest of the day. i placed an order at 9:46PM on Sat., 1/24/26 and called to pick up my order (I spoke to a guy named Alonso (Lonso) when I arrived as it said to call to-gos on the door. i had called a few weeks back and was told after 10PM was togo's only, but i found out they just changed that. i called today to speak to a manager, I spoke to Amador and he wasn't really helpful, i drove 15min each way (30min total) for my food that i never got. gave him all my info and basically said, i'll have to check and make sure that you aren't lying and then i'll see if i give you a refund. not okay, i don't have my refund nor my food. i called today again to speak to someone regarding my refund. Amador wasn't there and Kaleed was, he was nice trying to help me figure out what is going on, so he said he would reach out to Amador, i called back and Lonso answered the phone, I asked for Kaleed & he said he wasn't there, so then i asked for his name and he responded w/ a defensive tone "why do you wanna know my name?" then i tell him, so he then tells me his name and i told him i spoke to him before and tell me "hold on im busy" i called today again 2/1/26 and finally spoke to Amador again & he refused to give me a refund and said that was the final answer, i asked to escalate this because I went to the store & they were closed. he said he spoke to Lonso & said i didn't pick it up and said i couldn't escalate this refund refusal. i asked who the owner was and gave me their email & instagram to contact them. i called to see when the owners would be in & for said they are never in, "that's why he is there". read more

The restaurant sits on the corner, it is plain building on the outside. I like the interior there is plenty of seating, and a really cute photo wall. They have a kiosk for you to place your order. Originally stopped by to grab a milkshake and then noticed the mushrooms on the menu so decided to try the birria tacos, 8/10. I am glad I did as they were delicious. The tacos were crunchy on the outside, seasoned extremely well, and the mushrooms were cooked perfectly. I also enjoyed the beans and rice. The consommé was good. I wish it had a bit more spice and flavor to it. And the milkshake was amazing. It was creamy, you could taste the chocolate and the caramel, it was thick. We tried as many things as possible. I was so happy they had shakes that wouldn't make me sick. I got the cookies and cream shake and it was amazing! All of the food was so good, we will be back every time we're in the area. The Philly was a standout and so were the wings, and shakes. Next time, we will try the asada tacos. The gentleman who helped us said it's the same filler as the Philly and I had instant order-regret when I tasted it. Not that anything was bad, I hustled wish I had tried the asada tacos! Ate here before the Taylor Swift concert on Sunday and had a feast. Small parking lot but we were able to easily get a spot. It's a fun vibe inside with animal friendly artwork and nice plants as decor. We went during their brunch hours but I was happy to find we didn't have to order brunch. You order at the counter, they give you a number and bring your food out to you. The service was good. All of the employees were kind and helpful. My friend and I shared the lasagna, buffalo wings with fries, asada tacos, Mac n cheese and fried okra. Everything was delicious. My friend's fave was the tacos. I'm not really sure which of the plates was my fave. They were all pretty good to me. At the end of our meal, I also got a scoop of their soft serve ice cream and added chocolate and strawberry syrup and cookie crumbles to it. It was a nice way to end the meal. It was 25 cents to add each syrup, 75 to add the cookie crumbles. The only thing that was a little weird was the inconsistency of the silverware. My friend got a fork and knife in her silverware roll. I only got a fork and had to go to the counter to ask for a knife as well. They had to look through a few rolls of silverware to get me one with a knife so the silverware seemed to be a little disorganized. However, the young man at the register quickly got me what I needed. I also have to add, it was freezing in there for about the first 20 minutes that I was there, and it seemed like you were under an air vent pretty much anywhere you sat. Luckily they turned the air off for much of my visit but I did notice they cut it back on shortly before I left and as I was eating my ice cream so I was an icicle when I walked out of there. First off, walking in, I was totally charmed with this small establishment. This place has such a cool, inviting vibe - the decor is spot on and makes you feel right at home plus the waiting area is a great spot for selfies. It's clear a lot of thought went into making it look so great. The staff were friendly and helpful and I loved the modern touch with the cashless system and those ordering kiosks, so smooth and efficient. Now, onto something that really stuck out, and not in a good way. I've gotta talk about the restroom. The layout itself is a bit weird , with a narrow path to the sink and then another door to the toilet. But here's the kicker, and this is super important: right next to the toilet, there was this small, perfectly drilled hole in the wall. You can imagine how unsettling that is for customers. It immediately made me feel really uncomfortable and worried about privacy and I actually ended up having to cover it up with tissue while I was in there, which definitely isn't ideal. This needs to be looked at ASAP.Then there's the food. Don't get me wrong, it was fine, but honestly, it just didn't quite live up to the atmosphere and presentation of the place, especially given the prices. My expectations were high because everything else was so on point. For example, the wings were okay, but the flavor felt a bit generic like something you'd pick up pre-made from the supermarket, not something special. Same goes for the fries; they tasted like standard frozen ones rather than fresh, crispy ones you'd expect from a place with such a refined feel. ASTOUNDING! I got the Philly. The "steak" blew my mind. The flavors all together made it the best Philly I've had in a very long time, including real beef. I'd take this vegan version over the real thing any day. 11/10 JUST WOW!!! I was told the same filling is used in their Asada tacos, so I know what I'm getting next time! Also tried their buffalo wings. Very good texture and flavor. Pretty standard these days I think. Unfortunately the wings I WANTED to try they were out of. But I would still get these again. Box Tacos were funny to me, this HAS to be a nod to Jack in the Box tacos. They even come in a little white paper baggy like Jack. A little heavy on the bean flavor, but honestly the crunch and everything just worked well. Especially for the price! I'll get these again, definitely. My kids got the Breakfast Burger with a Beyond patty. Pretty mediocre to me. The Beyond was very Beyond flavored, if you know what I mean. It's just about all I could taste. There's a sauce and cheese and egg in it, too. So maybe Impossible would be a better choice here, if you're into whatever are in those ingredients Tried the Snack Wrap, impressive for what you get for the price, but so-so overall compared to the other things we tried. One would probably associate Texas with meat-meat-meat, but nowadays you can count on most major metropolitan areas in the US to cater to the vegan/vegan-supporting crowds! My Dad and I came here for lunch over the weekend, and ate outside on the patio since it was nice and sunny out! I was able to order off the brunch menu (biscuits and gravy) while my dad got the Nashville Chikn Sandwich. The "meat" on the menu is all fake and vegan friendly...actually the words "Vegan Cafe" are larger than the restaurant name at the front, LOL. The biscuits and gravy place was alright. Delicious Vegan Fast Food!! My go-to place for a vegan chicken sandwich or burger. I like to go on Fridays because they have the Shake Things Up deal which lets you pick 2 shakes, 2 burgers or sandwiches, and a side for $30. The deal used to be $20, which was significantly better, but It's still a fun deal to split with a friend. Definitely look at their weekly specials when you come! - Deluxe Chicken Sandwich- Nashville Hot (4/5): Taste like an elevated McDonald's chicken sandwich. I also really liked the thick pickles they use which added a nice crunch, and the buns were super buttery and fluffy. For Nashville hot, I expected some heat but there was no spice at all. - Texas Burger (4.4): The Texas burger has a good balance of flavors and textures. I got the beyond patty and it was very juicy and tender. I think if I didn't know this was vegan I would think it was a regular burger. The barbecue sauce stood out and it gave the burger a nice sweet tangy flavor. I also really like the addition of grilled onions. - Cookies and cream milkshake (4/5): Very creamy milkshake, definitely would not be able to tell it was nondairy. It had Oreo bits throughout which added a fun texture that made the drinking experience delightful. - Fries (4.5/5): Korny Vibes has such good fries! While fresh they were nice and crispy with the perfect amount of thickness. They're also not overly salty and are seasoned just right. I had some fries maybe an hour after I got them and they were still really good. Not too soggy with the right amount of starchiness. This was our first time at this establishment and was not impressed. I was so excited when I heard a vegan restaurant that serving tacos. My girlfriend and I was told about this place and how good it was , however,when we entered the establishment it was dirty. The tables was very sticky, The vents was filthy, the outside table area furniture was rusty. In California we love vegan Vatos and was hoping to find something similar, but here it was tasteless and very very greasy. I hate to send a terrible review, but I think it needed to be done . I went to this place for my birthday, and I was pleasantly surprised with all of the options they have. I got the special they had going on around the holidays. Which included the five layer burrito, one tender, two tacos and three boneless wyngs. The building had nice aesthetics but it had a funny smell, which was a little sketchy at first but the great customer service made up for it. The cashier was really patient with me because I kept asking him over and over again if there was any meat products in the food and he assured me that it wasn't. The food was great although I would suggest they put more vegan steak in the 5-layer burrito, it was mostly beans and rice. However, my favorite was the wyngs. Vegan junk food. Great for vegans/vegetarians who miss the joys of comfort food. Vegan burgers are commonplace nowadays but you can't always find stuff like veg wings or mozzarella sticks or fried shrimp. I took my vegan friend here. She lives in a different country and does not have access to this sort of food so she was stoked. Full disclosure: nowhere near vegan at the moment however I do appreciate vegan food every once in a while. Not going to compare it to the real thing or anything. Their menu has a lot to choose from: burgers, sandwiches, wings, chicken tenders, tacos, nachos, fried shrimp, and more. Let's not forget pastries and milkshakes. I thought the food was pretty tasty overall. My buffalo drumsticks were yummy. Same with the fried shrimp although I will say that I was disappointed with the French fries -- they weren't as crispy as you'd expect nor were they adequately seasoned. They could improve the fries, for sure. I think my favorite item was the deluxe chicken sandwich that I shared with my friend. It was on point. The crispy chicken was perfectly balanced with the other ingredients, including the delicious buttered bun. Finally, their milkshakes are delicious. I had the Cookie Monster and it was excellent. The vibe was hip and casual. They have a cute patio but we sat inside. They had a DJ on the patio and the music was turned up inside. Portions are abundant and we had more than enough to take home afterward. - Parking may be limited during peak hours in their lot but there is plenty of street parking. - The A/C was broken & leaking when we went but normally there's abundant indoor seating. Holy crap my last review was 1/15/20, and that was 2 years ago! It's only fitting to update this review for especially after recently visiting. I remember coming to Korny Vibes when they first opened and had high expectations, but was disappointment. So I never came back. I guess fast forward 2 years later in 2022, I decided to come back with the Jesse L. to see how the food has improved. And let me tell you, they really have!! We came on a friday and I'm so glad we did! They have a friday special - 2 burgers, 2 shakes, and a basket of fries. WHAT A STEAL. We even calculated each item on and totaled it up and realized this $25 deal is legit. Don't skip out on it. Jesse L. and I both agreed that after 2 years, Korny Vibes has improved on their vegan food. I'm more open to coming back to trying the other items again and comparing. I still hate how small their parking lot is. Good luck looking for street parking where you won't get towed. It gets tricky parking and hoping the sign tells you where you can and can't park. I'm on the hunt for the best vegan spots in houston- korny vibes is a place I'd go again, but I didn't love everything I got. The birria tacos were decent but had a strange greasiness to both the tacos and the consume. The chicken tender i got was good texture was but was salty. I still have to sample more items on their menu and am looking forward to returning and seeing how the other food items compare. read more
