How is this place not ranked in the top 3 vegan restaurants in Houston? For the seriously soulful vegan, this is where you have to go and try these delicious delectables, I have a few names below. First look at the menu, was like I will have one of these one of those and one of those as well. The list could go on, even though this was my first time trying this restaurant. I will say that vibe here is some what informal however the team is super friendly and nice! So my order was comprised of the following Collard greens : cooked and seasoned well Mac & Cheese : creamy and flavorful Barbecue Wings : battered fried and tossed Boudin rice balls : yummy Fried Catfish : texture and flavor was great Battered Shrimp: how can these not be real Yum Sauce: this can be married to anything Pineapple Lemonade: didn't quite hit the spot, so this was my least flavored item Nevertheless, I refuse to go into the detailed goodness of the each and every dish, because each of these I would eat again and this review would be ridiculously long and because after it's gone, all that I am left with are the unbelievable memories of taste. I have no negative comments on the food whatsoever. The facility is a little dated, however the quality and quantity of what arrives from that kitchen brings you back home. This food truck is soooo good and everything is VEGAN! Service is pretty quick, and the guy working is so nice and friendly. Got the jackfruit wings which don't taste anything like jackfruit, and even have the texture of chicken. The chicken sandwich was so delicious, and the fries were cooked perfectly. Delicious food and great service! I just finished a satisfying Easter Sunday lunch here that consisted of "chicken" tenders, greens, Mac n cheese, and dirty rice. The tenders where juicy on the inside and nice & crispy on the outside. Dipped them & the Buffalo and special sauces and it couldn't get any better. Even without sauce the tenders were seasoned to perfection. The vegan mac n cheese was also SO good. Tasted very cheesy & creamy. The dirty rice was the perfect texture and seasoned just right with all the right herbs and spices. I can't decide if l liked the Mac n cheese or dirty rice better. The greens were also quite good, with a good balance of sugar, salt & vinegar. Had the hibiscus limeade to wash it all down which was very thirst quenching with just the right amount of sweetness. My friend had the fish (oyster mushroom), Mac n cheese and French toast and loved her food as well. The service was great bc the young lady who helped us was super friendly and took her time to answer any and all questions we had and to make great recommendations. I also found out from her that the Jank sauce owner lives in my hometown. Looking forward to purchasing the sauce so I can try it out the next time I visit my local HEB. I was the first to make my order when they opened I'm not sure why the food wasn't served hot and fresh. My food was old. The greens smelled spoiled and even looked spoiled i didn't take one bite. The mac and cheese was not good one bit no seasoning so bland and greasy with parsley sprinkled on top. It was disappointing i threw the entire meal away... i seriously hate wasting money on food. The dirty rice wasn't dirty rice at all. There was so much waste also with the to go order way too many containers and plastic used. Very wasteful and disappointing! Not only that this is a plant based restaurant, not vegan. The food was served inside another restaurant where people was ordering pork chops and other meats i was totally disgusted. I was lucky enough to try the oyster mushroom poboy which was packed with so many good flavors, the mushrooms are fried to perfection. The Jack fruit poboy is equally amazing, jackfruit fried perfectly and loaded with flavor. Cauli-nuggets are fried perfectly, the coating is packed with flavor Boudain balls are so amazing! So out to everyone in the kitchen because every item that I had and was fried was done so with such perfection. Collard greens are good great flavor profile. This place was the absolute highlight of our trip to Houston! This was also a completely spontaneous decision. We happened to be driving through when I did a quick search on Yelp. Once we parked, we weren't sure where the entrance was. Look for the door that leads to stairs going up. I think this location is a vegan pop up by day and nightclub in the evening. We sat down when there was less than an hour until closing. But the waitress was friendly and welcoming. The interior is lounge-style and reminds me of moulin rouge. There were a few other customers including a family with small children. It makes me smile when kids get to experience vegan food :) We started with the Boudain Balls. Honest truth, I've never had nor heard of this dish before. But what I experienced was absolute yumminess! According to the Meateater Hubby, boudin balls are usually made with sausage. This vegan version seemed like Cajun rice formed into balls and batter fried into delicious crispiness. It kinda falls apart once you bite into it which only encourages me to eat it faster. Y'all ever get mad about how good some food is? Lindiana's food is so good it'll make you cuss. EVERY TIME I come here, the food is AMAZING. Prices are fair, service is wonderful, food is off the charts delicious. Be prepared to wait a little (because good things take time baby!) have yourself a little walk around the TSU campus and try and contain your drool when thinking about what you're about to enjoy. I wish I could go back in time and hire them for my wedding, it's just that damn good plain and simple. I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. It was sort of hard to find but luckily someone else reviewed it and gave instructions on how to find the entrance (thanks Yelp!). I went upstairs and made a wrong turn into what looked like a lounge, backed out, and eventually found the correct dining area. The staff seemed sort of confused on how I found the place but were super friendly and very prompt with their service. I ordered the po' boy and it was delicious. I think the "meat" was deep fried mushrooms and it had some banana peppers or something that gave it a nice tangy taste. The fries were standard but still super yummy. The decor in the place made it feel like a fancy lounge and there were games around the area that you could play. It seemed like a cool place to go hang out with friends and chill on a weekend or after work. 2 stars for my previous memory of the good when they were on wheeler. They have relocated quite aways from their previous food truck location. But I made the trek because I remember how good the food was. Well I made that drive for no reason. Very disorganized. The exterior is not properly identify that it is lindianas. It does not properly indicate where to place your order and there is no one to great you. Just a bunch of patrons hanging out outside and inside the restaurant waiting to order?? Any way I ended up leaving after arriving and standing around for 10 mins with no service and someone that came in after me getting their order taken. Came with my vegan friend on Saturday (Oct 12) as she's been to this food truck before and enjoyed it. We both ordered the "Fish" Po'boy but I got fries and she got Mac N "Cheese". The wait time wasn't bad (maybe 15-20 mins) and the food definitely looks better than it taste. The fries were honestly the highlight of the meal. I didn't finish the Po'boy or the fries. My friend ordered the Koolaid and she stated that "it wasn't good" and she returned it to them. I arrived, seemingly, according to my GPS; however, the lack of signage would steer me into Lindiana's actual kitchen, which I was kindly directed to go upstairs. First impression, aside from the poignant smell of food, maybe a former night club, but more speakeasy-ish. Nice touch with a live musician and artist, both accepting tips and worth the time. Sadly, the music would've been more suiting if the ambiance was fully realized. The furniture and style felt inherited and less personalized. The seating was awkward and resembled a club's VIP section and not somewhere to indulge in food. I visited Lindiana's on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed with patrons. Was it for tasty food or the exorbitant wait times? Maybe the latter. The wait was anywhere from 40-60 minutes. The staff was really nice, but short handed. 45 minutes later, the order arrived. First visit, so everything was ordered. Bourdain Balls, Cauliwings, Linda's Plate, Mac & Cheese and the Chicken (cauliwings, not "chickin") & Waffles. Everything looked good, but unfortunately, the taste did not catch on. With exception of the waffles, which in my opinion were the best option I ate that day, everything else had the taste of really old, burned and reused oil. Not good. I also ordered a slice of cheesecake, which was straight from Daiya. I was not impressed. If they used clean oil, maybe the food would've had a better chance. We had very delicious food here for brunch. When we visited the place was open from 12-4. We came right at 12:10 and the guests came fast. We tried a myriad of their foods so we could get an accurate review. We tried the boudin balls and a few of the juices. And the dishes: Juices: The yellow one is like Sour orange citrus, the green one is spicy ginger. Green is more like a breakfast drunk. Pros: Boudin balls were flavorful and delicious. My husband had the fish and red beans and yams. All good. I had the fried "cauliflower " chicken. Mashed potatoes and greens. All natural and the mashed potatoes were delicious. Food is great and healthy. Cons: Service was slow. The lady was nice but many customers had trouble waiting 15 minutes to receive our closing check. Parking is limited. read more

Sooo...in my quest for vegan options in Houston, I stumbled upon this gem of a place. Lindiana's is actually a food truck located in Third Ward, right near TSU. I had heard some positive things about the food here and I couldn't wait to try. I arrived shortly after 12:30pm on a Friday and I ended up being the first customer! The cashier was extremely friendly and was able to answer the questions I had about the menu. I opted to get the Linda's Plate, which comes with 1 protein and 2 sides. I elected for the vegan boudain balls, macaroni & cheese, and greens. I also tried one of the cold pressed juices, as it was suggested by the cashier. I chose the strawberry lime juice. Upon taking my order, I provided my telephone number and I was told that I would be called when my order was ready. I waited in my car for about 10 minutes before my food was ready, which was super fast! Soo, first thing first: that strawberry lime juice was the BEST juice I have EVER had in my LIFE! I was shook! Soo surprised! It was sweet, tart, and tangy all at the same time! It was cold, which was very refreshing to have on a humid, hot afternoon in Houston. I'm so glad that I decided to get the juice after it being suggested! I had to ask twice if sugar had been added. I was assured that the concoction was simply strawberries, lime, and water. Unbelievable. I didn't try my food until I got home, which was about 30 minutes. The food was actually still pretty warm, but I decided to nuke it a bit in the microwave. OMG, the boudain balls were absolutely amazing. Perfectly friend, the rice filling mixture was beautiful and the flavor was absolutely mind blowing. Honestly, these are probably the BEST boudain balls I've had (even the ones with meat) in Houston. The greens were very, very good. These greens are proof that you don't need pig fat or even smoked turkey to add flavor. The greens were just well seasoned. Period. There is vinegar added, which seems to elevate the complete flavor profile. I was in love. The macaroni and cheese was actually pretty good considering I know they used some sort of vegan cheese. I found it to be enjoyable, but was not my favorite part of the meal. The WIN definitely goes to the start of the dish, the protein - the boudain balls! The prices are reasonable considering it is a vegan truck and the food is spectacular. It was just ok. Josh was cool and there was no wait at all. My mother and I both ordered the Lindiana Plates (hers with meatloaf and mine with chicken). The collard greens needed more seasoning. The macaroni oddly tasted very butter and they had several types of noddles mixed together and made me question if it was fresh. The yams...were seasoned very heavily and they were absolutely too sweet... literally made my teeth hurt! Now, I love sweet yams but these were so sweet that they were stringy-syrupy and dark dark from the seasoning. The garlic potatoes were good. The meatloaf and chicken was good! After trying this food truck, I was very pleasantly surprised! I have eaten at vegan restaurants in the past, but the assortment of things on the menu made me skeptical LOL. Waste of 3 hours of my time. I live 45 minutes away, so it's an hour and a half round trip. But ive been wanting to try this for the last year. Finally decided to head out today. After I waited about 15 minutes in line, I decided to take a snapchat. I then waited another hour on the curb. I finally asked about how much longer and she said there were still 2 tickets ahead of me (there were 2 couples ahead of me when I got in line) ANOTHER 20 minutes.
