I went inside and met this older gentleman (who seemed like he liked to drink a lot of alcohol for some reason) and he showed me around in the back. He said that the owner was not there very often, because he was always in different shows. When he is not there, the house was kept closed. I wanted so much to enter the house, but was pleased when I saw all the assortment they had in that very LONG back yard. The furniture and other items were quite dirty and dusty, but there were so many beautiful old things to see. Really old furniture with wonderful carvings and details, old wrought iron garden items, old paintings, etc. etc. I really liked going around the back yard and spent quite a bit of time there. I ended up choosing a gorgeous antique print in an equally beautiful antique carved frame. I was prepared to pay at least $50, because I was already totally in love with it, when the gentleman gave it to me for $10. I was not about to complain. I wish that the store can be open on more regular hours, so that I can see what's inside the house. The old gentleman told me that the owner kept the "really nice stuff" in there!

They require the homeowner to give them a $4,000 deposit and then they take over listing and selling items online. (Our property had already been cleaned, organized, and sorted.) They stated that they would then need to use the house to photograph and list items for about 5 weeks or longer. They stated that they keep track of the time it takes them to do the work in man hours and we may even owe them more than the deposit after the sale is finished if the $4,000 did not cover their expenses. We were expecting a traditional two day in person sale but this company no longer does that in order to maximize profits. This may be a strategy that works for some, but not for us.

I asked about the Snoopy in the window. He told me it was $50. I asked if I could see it. He told me I would need to buy it to see it. What kind of store does that? Apparently this store that I won't be buying a Snoopy at. Ugh. There's so much random stuff in this store that I don't understand it at all. Unpolished silver, used vintage silk tops with armpit stains, hats, art to decorate your oldest living relative's house...and a Fender Knock off guitar in the window selling for $450, but worth less than $60.
