Dr Barnet is grate. He took the time to explain to me everything. The problem I had was his stuff. I was not called at any time other then when my appointment was coming.. I would call and was told my glasses were not in and that I would be called when they came in. I would wait a week and call again. After this happened 2 time they found out that they were sent the wrong glasses.at this time I should have been called.i was not. I was told they would be another 2 weeks and that they would call me. After 2 weeks I called and they got a little rude. We will call you when there in. So I waited 1 more week. That when I was told that the lab lost the glasses. They over night them to the office. I got them the next day.. I Belive that the girls in the office dropped the ball. They should have kept me informed. They should have some Kind of way of keeping track of the orders. I understand that the lab had problems. But if they were. Tracking them it would not have taken so long. It took 27 work days. The only call that were made were from me to them. Dr holt was awesome but he said they would be able to get me trial contacts that day he said they would not be my brand, but they would be what I would need for now and that the people in front would help me with them well the lady upfront definitely did not help me. She was rude and downright mean when I told her that the doctor said that they would be able to give me some that day. She said there was no way and then no eye doctor would carry those every eye doctor I've ever gone to has had them in stock for me at my exam and then asked to talk to the doctor again and she said he was busy and couldn't help me at that point then she did not want to give me my prescription starting to order elsewhere. I had to sign a disclaimer to finally get her to give it to me. Absolutely horrible person to deal with. read more

I went here two days before Thanksgiving for a glasses and contact lens exam. It's now going to be March this weekend and I still don't have a working prescription. I've gone through three pairs of trial lenses and they're not even close. I've taken several hours off work to deal with this. I finally caved and made an appointment with my old ophthalmologist in Sacramento. They were appalled when I told them that I was recommended to wear a blatantly incorrect prescription for a week each time "to see if my eyes adjust." On top of it, the kept recommending implanted contact lenses--the thing they couldn't get me the right prescription for. I can't imagine the disastrous outcome had I gone through with that, when I can't get a working contact lens prescription from them! read more

I've been going to this place for years. Even before the new Drs took over. Well since the take over this office has gone down hill. The staff is rude and not helpful. When I was trying to purchase glasses, they thought I didn't have "good insurance " and they were trying to pawn me off to one of their other offices. Once they found out they were mistaken and I did have good insurance, then all of a sudden I was getting the VIP treatment and did not have to go to the "prison office" as the lady said. This is wrong! I know a lot of great people that don't have "good insurance." Another incident, my 6yr daughter got her glasses damaged. They told me insurance didn't cover it and I would have to pay out of pocket. I got the insurance involved and they are helping me get my daughters glasses at no cost to me. She can't see without them. They told me to drop them off any time. I show up to a note on the door that they are closed for lunch for an hr. I don't live close by, so I had no choice but to sit in my car and wait. It's just one thing after another. I have more stories, but this review is already long enough. read more

They are not upfront about costs. They made me an appointment for a second pair of glasses and the dr. Holt didn't tell me there would be a cost; instead it being billed to Med-i-cal. I saw the optical person and she rushed me into picking a frame that she thought would make my eye"s pop-look awesome. Less than 24 hours of me ordering I canceled my order. I asked for her to credit my credit card. First She said she couldn't cancel the charge for she sent it in. I told her she said it would be 3 weeks to get the glasses, so why the rush to get the payment. I thought california has a 3 day cancellation law. She said she would call me back to check. She said fine and there would be a refund check in the mail in 3 weeks, and thier 7 offfices are not set up for credit card refunds. I told her I would have to make a payment due on that $160 before the refund came back in. Its the same office that when Dr. Benten was there my comprehensive test was under $ 200. Now this office billed med-i-cal over $800. read more

This was the worst optometrist I have ever been too. He was: aggressive, sexist, impatient and cheated VSP out of some money as I had to go in for a second bi-focal exam because he would not listen to me about how strong I wanted them. His staff are all young women who are either: severely unskilled, almost stupid, impatient, and highly judgmental. The atmosphere of the office staff and OD is that health care is a Privilege not a Right. They tried to charge me for frames they lost or accused me of losing, which I feel was a scam. I finally got my glasses in the mail after complaining to VSP. One of the staff most obnoxious staff members (all under the age of 25 and all wearing lots of make up) kept saying they were "doing me a favor". I highly recommend going some where else unless you want to get ripped off emotionally and financially. read more

I came into Anderson eye care looking for a pair of sunglasses that I couldn't find anywhere. Luckily when I walked in I was approached by Deb, a outstanding Optician who greeted me with kindness and knowledge. After showing Deb the glasses I was looking to order we ran into a problem finding any dealer or factory that didn't have them back ordered. The soonest I was going to be able to get these glasses was 4 MONTHS out. Thankfully a few days later I received a call from Deb letting me know that she was able to find the sunglasses I wanted. Not only did she find one pair but she was able to find 2 so I bought both of them. I was amazed by Debs ability to reach out to contacts and find a solution even though it didn't benefit her. Her customer service is out standing Nd her knowledge of the products is even better. I wouldn't recommend going to anyone other than Deb. She made a frustrating situation into a great experience. The worse experience ever. The staff is EXTREMELY un-professional. The secretary scheduled me over the phone and upon arrival, informed me I wasn't eligible (insurance) for another two days. Sent me away, making me take my paperwork I'd filled out. I came back two weeks later for scheduled appt. She called insurance then and informed me I actually am not eligible for an exam for another year. Extremely condescending and rude during both visits! I've never had a practice not take my card info and verify eligibility BEFORE scheduling a client. Not once, but twice. Then she hung up on me later when I called to get the optometrists information. Dr. Bernet was nice and personable. Unfortunately, his staff lacks the customer service skills and needs an attitude adjustment specifically the manager. She was rude and unprofessional. They are also over priced on their services and products compared to any other optometrist around including private offices. I would recommend driving a few more miles and getting the service every client deserves rather than going there. read more
