Dr Bickford performed a very thorough eye exam for medical issues as well as for glasses. She explained her all her observations and answered all questions in language anyone could understand. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and covered potential medical problems related to the eye as well. And even though my husband and I didn't opt to purchase glasses from Blink, Kristi was so helpful and friendly throughout shopping process. We highly recommend Blink as a full service optometry clinic that takes VSP eye insurance. But understand there is an additional charge to you for the medical portion of exam in which Medicare and supplemental insurance are also billed. I really did not enjoy my experience at this office at first, because my two toddlers were with me and the lady doing the initial tests seemed very impatient with them. However, Dr. Davis was amazing and very understanding. She didn't make me feel like I was wrong to bring my kids with me to my appointment. I also really enjoyed picking out my frames (the lady that helped me was wonderful!)and they arrived ahead of schedule. The frames are problematic though, and painful. They seem way larger than the samples I initially tried on. It definitely wasn't the fault of the office, but I still wish these frames made me feel how I felt when I first tried them on. :( read more

Dr Davis has been my optometrist for a few years now. She and her team are amazing. I recently had my first stye in my eye. The morning I woke with it they got me right in for an appointment. This is all while covid is going on by the way. So fast forward about a month or so later and my other eye started looking like the same thing. I went in and yep another stye 2 days later my eye got really bad and they got me in with Dr. Bickford who works there and she said it had gotten bad enough for antibiotics and not just the drops and ointment. I felt so well taken care of from the front office staff to the staff that helped me in the room. All are so amazing and caring. They don't treat you like a patient they treat you as family. I was in need of a current contact lens exam. I had been wearing my glasses for a couple months and finally couldn't handle it any longer. I called my eye doctor and apparently she had retired. I recently had a eye exam, 202 dollars+ 40 for the prescription. Number 1. After my eye exam, I picked out frames and transition lens, plus bifocals on lens, plus a tint to lens. About an hour spent. As I waited for a call from her office about 3 weeks, her office called said Glass were in but they told me that they could not get tint on lens, this is after I paid her. I declined the glasses pick up my prescription and went to spec's used David's prescription at spec's. Picked up glasses from specs and I could not see they encouraged me to give it at least 2weeks to get used of new prescription. I did. After 2weeks I stood could not see clearly. Had spec's do a eye exam, they did, found out Kristi Davis wrote a wrong prescription also that I have a beginning cateract in my right eye that she did not see. I paid her 202 dollars for my eye exam. I went back to her office today and told her about the situation, I requested that she do a claim reimbursement to my insurance company.. SHE SAID IM NOT REIMBURSING ANYONE! So she gets to give a bad eye exam, she pockets 202 without making my prescription RIGHT. Do your self a favor, save time, money look for a different eye doctor. She would not even re-exam my eyes. Total rip off. #nevergoingback!!! read more

This company cares more about money then their patients. I was treated very poorly by a women named Terri who worked there. I went in for a glasses exam as well as a contact exam. My insurance covered the glasses and I had to pay for the contact exam plus a coating that I probably didn't need. I paid half of what was due and told I could pay the remainder upon receiving my glasses. I was given my contact prescription and sent on my way. I ordered contacts from Walgreens and got a phone call that my eye doctor wouldn't verify until I paid my remaining balance. But wait, I already have the paper prescription. She told me who is to say you won't take the contacts and not pay the remainder? I was shocked! Either way you already received my insurance money, plus half of what was due. And I had no contacts or glasses. I was not even given a pair of contacts to wear during my wait, which is what I have been given at every other eye doctor. I told her you already gave me the prescription, I can just take that anywhere. She said they won't fill it without verifying. She told me I paid for the glasses and not the contacts with the half. But I didn't have the glasses. It made no sense. I suppose I should have said I'll pay for the contact exam today so I can go and order contacts, and pay for the lense coating when I pick up the glasses. I really don't enjoy being treated like I have intentions to rip a company off. Bad business practice. read more

I am probably one of very few in these reviews who is not a shill. I am guessing that the majority of these reviews were writen by "friends and family." In my many years of wearing classes-- the last 15 or so of which have been progressive lenses-- the work I had done here and the final product were the worst I've had. They could not get the rx or the glasses right. Ulitmately, the primary rx was just OK while the progressive lenses were effectively unusable due to being so low on the lenses. I got the distinct impression that the office staff wasn't competent with my insurance. I ended up paying WAY more using my insurance with basic progressives with no transitions than I recently paid for high-end progressives including transition lenses. My wife, who got single-lense transitions from Dr. Davis, had the same experience as far as quality of the rx. Additionally, her transitions never worked right. They would not darken uniformly and Dr. Davis office could not (or would not) correct the issue. We'll not go back. read more

I am new to the area. I suddenly found that I had a problem with my vision which the emergency room could not diagnose since they could not dilate my eye. I was planning to leave town the next day as I needed to drive back to meet the moving van that would be packing our home in Colorado. I needed someone right away to tell me what was happening to my vision. When I explained my problem to Ms. Davis' staff I was fit into her schedule that day. It turned out I had a 3x larger than normal floater develop in my right eye which was impacting my sight as it was not floating away. She determined this by dilating my eye and taking multiple photos of my eye, as well as, doing a visual inspection. Diagnosis: She felt that the problem would clear up in 8-12 weeks, and what to watch for that she would consider an emergency. Three of our family went together for appointments. We definitely won't go back. The exams went fine and the doctor was very nice, but the way the staff made us feel afterwards was humiliating. We all needed new glasses, and we have good insurance that affords a fair amount towards this. The lady showing us glasses wouldn't disclose the price of the glasses, she just kept telling us to pick out whatever we liked and that "price shouldn't matter when it comes to our eyes". I discreetly tried to explain to her that we'd like to stay within a price range of what our insurance would cover, and could we please see frames in that price range? She was very annoyed with us and made us feel very embarrassed and humiliated. We have VERY good insurance that would afford us nice glasses, but it does have limits and I know some frames can be VERY expensive. It was awful for them to make us feel so embarrassed just because we have a budget. We have since found Site For Sore Eyes and love them. They have wonderful service, super friendly, and are more than happy to discuss your budget and get you glasses you love and can afford. read more
