David of Anderson Towing LLC, MT was more than we could have asked for in a tow truck driver. Our son's car broke down in Reed Point, MT on his way home from college. Reed Point is 7 hours away from home. The sun was quickly going down and the weather was too cold to try and figure things out without. David was dispatched and quickly contacted us to let us know he was on his way to our son (60-90 minutes away). As soon as he got to our son, they picked up his car, dropped him off at a motel, then dropped off his car at the shop. He then contacted us to ensure both our son and his car were safe. They overcharged me. They sent me two invoices because I was able to be towed to a closer location. I am certain that I paid the lower of the two. Then, they charged my card the larger amount. In the end, I was told that in order for them to give me the difference, they would have to re-charge me for another tow before I get the larger amount refunded. What if I didn't have enough money to pay twice before being refunded? I renewed my AAA membership so that I will not have to call them again. The tow-truck guy was super nice. read more

October 28th 3 am I notified my insurance company to start a claim for road side service. I ran my car out of gas and needed approximately 2 gallons. It would be enough to get me to a gas station in Billings. Approximately 4:30 am a driver for Anderson towing arrived with a gas can containing 2.5 gallons of unleaded gasoline. I had the gas lid open and the gas cap removed. It was 29° out. Three degrees below freezing. The driver informed me he could not give me the gasoline until I paid for it. I told him that was fine I will be using my debit card. He informed me that a third party would be sending me a text message with a link to pay for the gas. I don't deal with too many tow truck drivers in any capacity but this fella was absolutely rude unpleasant very unprofessional and attempted to dictate what form of payment I should use to receive the gasoline. I showed him my phone I kept telling him I don't have the text message with the link I'm still waiting for it. We are standing there in the cold he has nothing to say as if I was inconveniencing him. I went into my car close the door and waited for the text message that never came after 15 minutes I told him I'm not doing this another minute you can take off I'll get somebody else to come out. A few minutes later his boss called and said he was going to send me the link so now he's going to try and send me the link I told him don't bother don't send your driver back over here I'm going to go with somebody else and the boss man proceeds to tell me they're the only ones available. WRONG!! Allow me to educate Anderson towing company. Sage Von Muegge owner of Billings roadside assistance company arrived within 1 hour after I dismissed the driver for Anderson towing. Sage and his associate arrived cheerful professional excellent customer service and communication skills and a topped off 5 gallon gas can. They didn't stand there waiting for payment they immediately put it in my car and I finally had heat again and would be able to make it to Billings. Here's the beautiful thing about sage and his roadside assistance company he did not charge me for the five gallons of gasoline. His grace did not go unnoticed. I will be paying him a visit in the future and return the full amount worth of gasoline he's so graciously assisted me with when Anderson failed in every way possible Anderson towing gets a zero Stars I would not recommend them not after that encounter absolutely the rudest most unprofessional people I've ever had to deal with. Unacceptable service, left a woman stranded I am deeply disappointed in the service provided by Anderson Towing, a company which touts itself as a reliable 24/7 service provider for "all of your towing and roadside assistance needs"​. However, when my wife needed their service, they failed to deliver. Her Honda Accord got stuck in the mud. The tow operator from Anderson Towing arrived but did not even get out of their vehicle. Instead, they called my wife, told her they would need to call a different truck to get her unstuck, and then drove away. No other help arrived. When she called their dispatch number, she was told that Anderson did not have any vehicle that could reach her. They left her stranded without offering her a ride back into town or any alternative assistance. In this case, my wife was fortunate that a local rancher came to her rescue. But it's unacceptable that a company with over 15 years of experience and 39 well-made trucks available at all times, serving areas across Mobile, AL, Gallatin, Flathead, Yellowstone, MT, and the surrounding areas, could not provide the necessary assistance​. This experience has been an eye-opener, and I hope that Anderson Towing takes this feedback seriously and takes steps to ensure that no one else is left stranded in such a way. Truck was stranded in parking lot. The original guy (shall remain nameless) had some character issues. Couldn't get truck to go in neutral, so he got angry and drove off. Tow service compares to competition. Charges do not. This vendor stacks creative charges on their bill for additional fees that are not charged by other vendors I know I paid them and other vendors for years in my carrier . I can now speak out as I have left the industry. I will never use this vendor to tow anything I own and will direct officers away from them should it be a rotation event. read more

Wow what an excellent company full of all the positive adjectives one can think of. In a time of need , anxiety and fear this company knows how to keep you assured they have your vehicle in safe and competent hands ( or a wonderful tow truck). Had a guy named Mathew come out on a call he needed a tool to change my tire told me he was going to the shop to get it and never came back not a nice guy kinda rude and I didn't even get a call to let me know after 3 hours I had to call to get a different person to come help, would not recommend this guy to help you at all. A guy named Ryan came out at 10:30 pm to help me and is a super great guy and so polite if you need a guy he is great ! He had my tired done so fast and I would recommend Ryan on your calls. read more

Driver told us that insurance would only pay for them to tow to their yard after theft recovery. Turns out the opposite was true. Then it took 8 hours of the next day to find out about the $1,000+ in fees they were trying to charge to get it out of their yard before my insurance would pay for roadside assistance. They kept trying to drag it out until we would owe another 24-hours' worth of storage fees. Each time we called back trying to deal with it, the price they quoted kept going up. BEWARE! Anderson Towing only takes advantage of people in their time of need. One of my vehicles was involved in an accident on a Friday evening in Billings, MT. My car was then towed to Anderson Towing. I tried calling that evening to see what steps needed to be taken to get my car released. Anderson Towing was closed so I was instructed to call back Monday. Monday happened to be a holiday, so I was not able to speak with anyone from the tow yard until Tuesday. Finally on Tuesday I spoke with the owner's wife who was incredibly rude and sounded very inconvenienced. She informed me of the documents I needed to supply in order to get my vehicle back. I emailed the requested documents and asked what else was needed. No one responded so I called back the next day and was informed that it wasn't their job to call me back. Somewhat annoyed I asked what else was needed to release my vehicle and was informed that I just needed to pay the towing and storage fees. The total bill was $3,786.40. In amazement I asked why the bill was so high and was told that because the Billings Police made the call for the Tow truck it is much more expensive because they have to pay the Police department to be on their list of tow companies. I was told that if I would have called myself I the bill would have been much cheaper. At the time of the accident the police offered to call a tow truck. If I would have known, I would be completely taken advantage of by making that decision I would have called myself. Anderson Towing is rude, unprofessional, shady and way overpriced. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! On the phone with one of the employees and got nothing but disrespect from them!

If I can give zero star, I would. This company doesn't deserve a star at all. Or in other words they should not operate this business. This is based on our experience with this towing company. Please, if you have a choice to call other companies, please do. You don't deserve to go through a horrible experience with them. It's already bad enough to have a roll over incident and you have to deal with this unprofessional business on top of it. They kept my truck for 11 days in the tow yard. After dealing with the insurance company, pretty much they said its my responsibility to take the truck out. Yes after 6 days calling insurance everyday just for them to say that. Went there friday 11/03/23 and paid the fees to get the truck out. Mary the lady in the counter, said the truck is un drivable and have to get rid of it or they can tow it $1835. After thinking about it hard, I couldn't just let that truck go, it saved my family from the incident. I told her clear as a crystal ball, that I will pay the fees and asked if its okay to pick it up Saturday with our choice of tow. She said yes that fine. There's even few people in that room that heard me say that. She went ahead and charged me another day of storage ( for saturday) on top of the fees. Mind you, I was in the phone with my wife the whole time I was talking with her. They assured me that we can pick it up Saturday. We spent the night in Billings so we can take it out early, We went there and was told that office is closed Saturday and Sunday and we have to come back Monday to take it out ourselves but they will release it if we pay them $1836 for the tow. The whole time they were playing with us when they told us we can pick it up Saturday knowing they are not gonna release it to us on the weekend. Why would we choose to stay and spend money for a hotel in Billings if they told us its not possible? Cody the dispatcher, said Mary is new and was not trained right. Why would it be our problem if the company didn't do their job training their employees??? He said he will call the owner about this. I called him back after few minutes of waiting, he said owner won't release it to us but will release if we let them tow for the amount they asked. Oh? I thought no office on weekends? but clearly they can process it for us if we pay such big amount. We did not agree to this as we already made that decision the day before that they will release it to us. It is illegal for them to hold our vehicle after we paid all the fees including the storage fee on that Saturday. We were outside waiting for someone to show up. And a lady showed up and I stopped her and asked her about it, she claimed that she's only there to check the trucks and she doesn't know about this. she told us she will get someone inside the office and she didn't come back out. very unprofessional. Come to find out. She's actually Kelly, the wife of the owner. Very unprofessional to treat their costumers like this. I asked my friend who is a lawyer for advise. Clearly they can't hold our property after its being paid. My day was already ruined by this people. We left and travelled 270 miles home. Monday came, we are on our way to Billings with a tow truck to pick up the truck. My wife got a call from Anderson towing, asking if we still want them to tow the truck back? We didn't agree to that on friday. I already told them no and we will tow it ourselves. Mary was very rude to her and hang up on her twice. Again, Cody you are absolutely right. She is not trained well by the company. No manners at all. When I got back in Billings, they even charged us 2 more days of storage for sunday and Monday. You wouldn't believe this, they added a narrative on my invoice. Not just a breakdown but a whole bunch of stuff trying to defend themselves. My life was turned upside down in and instant, 5 hours away from home. I was left unsure how I would get my car towed from the accident site, to where I was going to be for the night until someone could get my toddler and I. Not only did Anderson Towing take care of getting my car towed to where I was going, they also came back the following day to help get my car on the flatbed so we could make our long drive home. Usually, I dont have a problem with this company at all. They are quick and Doug is super helpful. Today was a different story, i requested a tow through Geico roadside assistance. Swan through Anderson Towing said he was gonna grab my vechile after 30 mins of it searching for a service provider to take the tow( requested at 330, Anderson took the tow 430). 630, swan says he cant find the vechile. I try to explain to him where the car is. 8 he still cant find it, eventhough its the only car on the side of the road and the flashers are on, he ask for the mile marker. I tell him, he tells me he will go look. 10 i ask him if he has grabbed the car and he tells me he is in Bundy, but promises he will grab my car by the end of the night. I get home still no car still no update. I message him, 12, he tells me he is now in Rickland. He sends me a video of some customers truck in the ditch, so "I'll understand". If you cant take the tow, just tell me instead of string me out all night, waiting on a vechile thats not gonna get towed. I worked all day, i work in the morning, im not staying up for this. Tried calling the office and nothing and that was at 1am. Never had an issue until today and im kinda weirded out by this guy. Sounds drunk or high over the phone, can't find the vechile over and over again, always something, and sends me a video of some customers truck. I get they are very busy, but if you cant take the tow, at least tell me right away so i can request another. Not a 10 hr battle. read more
