I bought a brand new 2023 Nissan Altima from Billion Nissan of Bozeman, MT in December 2022. Not too long after bringing my new car home, I noticed that there was a musty smell coming from the vents when the AC was turned on. Since the car was so new and is under warranty, I took it to the local Nissan dealership in Bozeman and during three separate visits, was told the issue could not be duplicated and they would not waste time trying to fix an issue that does not exist. I ended up making an appointment at Denny Menholt Nissan in Billings, MT where they ultimately found the issue and fixed it. While I am happy my car is fixed, I am LIVID about my overall experience at Denny Menholt Nissan. Since Billings is a two hour drive from where I live, I figured to make it easier on myself and the techs at the dealership, I would leave my car with them for a week and not ask for a loaner as we had another vehicle at home. This would allow the techs plenty of time to replicate the issue (by regularly checking the smell coming from the AC after it sat in the hot sun) and I also wouldn't have to wait an unknown amount of time and then drive back to Bozeman the same day. I dropped my car off on a Friday afternoon and let the service advisor I would be back the following Friday to pick it up. During the initial check in, I let the advisor know about our suspicions that there might be a block in the EVAP system. The advisor literally laughed in my face and claimed they would not be tearing apart the front of the car for an issue that may or may not exist. I left the dealership very irritated at how I was treated, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and hoped they'd fix the issue. I did not receive any update calls the following week. The following Thursday, my partner called the dealership to remind them when I would be coming to pick the car up the next day and ask for a status update. He was told that was perfect timing and they were currently working on an EVAP system clean out. I arrived the following Friday around lunch time asking to pick up my car. As I was walking in, I noticed my car was parked in the same exact position I had left it the previous Friday. The advisor behind the counter couldn't find my car's RO and looked it up on his computer, only to find that the RO was empty, minus the initial intake notes. The date the RO was written up was also listed as the following Monday after I initially dropped it off, so they didn't even register it in their system on the day I dropped it off. Come to find out, my car had not been looked at or worked on AT ALL since I dropped it off the previous Friday. I went without my car for an entire week to give the techs ample opportunity to diagnose and fix the issue and they didn't do ANYTHING during that time. The advisor behind the desk apologized and claimed they'd be willing to push my car to the front of the schedule for that day and to give them a few hours to figure things out. This was not acceptable to me since I was told the day before my car would be ready to go that afternoon, and I needed to get back to Bozeman in a timely manner. I ultimately requested the service manager get involved because the entire situation was a disaster. In the end, they made me wait an hour while they diagnosed and completed the fix exactly as we suspected and told the advisor during the initial intake. I understand miscommunication issues happen, but something to this degree is unacceptable. Denny Menholt Nissan wasted my time, had no sympathy for my concerns, and overall created one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. All that being said, I really want to continue business with Denny Menholt Nissan since they were so quick to diagnose and fix my issue. I hope somebody at Denny Menholt Nissan can reach out to me so we can come up with some solutions to ensure something like this never happens again, to me or any other customers. read more

Typical greedy car salesmen here. Had a vehicle under contract with paperwork to prove it. And a deposit put down. Purchasing from out of state so a bit of back and forth. Had a plane ticket booked to go retrieve it. Last minute these guys said they are cancelling the deal. Story I gathered from the sales rep is the sold it for a few more bucks to someone else. Oh My Gosh! In a good way! We are so prime for the picking when it comes to Dealership nightmare repairs. 1,000s of miles away from home and basically stuck. We knew the problem and they diagnosed it properly and had our new fuel pump in and vehicle back to us within 3 days. At a price that is standard. Honest and fair. I don't know last names, but Scott hooked us up to start and Tad, service manager, took over. I would literally buy a car from this place just to get it serviced here. Honest to God. read more
