There are a lot of things that consider, but also many industry tricks that can throw a person off course. Not here. This practice is exactly what I hoped for: - No gimmicks like offering customers potential awards for a 5-star review. - No tricks like saying they accept insurance, while they are not on that provider's 'preferred' list. - No whacky photographers taking pictures of your teeth just as you show up. - No gimmicky office tours with gifts for nice reviews. - No tricks to make make a person spend more money than they have to. Yes, those things and more happened at another dental practice, so I was hesitant. Bogey Hills Dental was great to me. The Dr. and staff were extremely efficient and made the work seem like they could do it with their eyes closed. It was a real relief to find this practice. We took our three-year old son to Watson Dental for his first dental visit and had such an…read moreoutstanding experience from the welcoming staff at the front desk to the happy smiles from everyone especially my son on the goodbye. The team was so amazing working with children and helping him understand what they would do on this visit. They got X-rays, a teeth cleaning and a fluoride treatment on his visit! We were so impressed! Dr. Geiger was his dentist and she was so great with him as was her assistant who spent a lot of time with him prepping and cleaning. We can't wait for his next visit and neither can he! This experience will create a lifelong positive experience of the dentist and we are so grateful for everyone at the office who made this visit so great! I've also had my teeth cleaned here with Dr. Sonn and his team and had just as great of an experience. Recently, Essence…read moreHealthcare switched their dental coverage to Liberty Dental...when my husband went in for his regular exam and cleaning, he asked specifically if Sunset Hills Dental took his new Dental coverage, and they said yes. Two days AFTER his appointment, the office called and said that they were considered out-of-network, and that he now owed almost $300. Then the snippy person at the office told him it shouldn't be a big deal because he's always been paying out of pocket. WTAF????? For the record, other than dental work, the most he has paid out of pocket was about $80 when the office started doing xrays twice a year to pad their billing, and his former insurance only paid for xrays once a year. I have been a patient at Sunset Hills Dental as well; they have lost me as well. I have already found another dental practice and will not return to SHDG.

Then they overcharge you and won't return your calls when you complain. I had to file a unfair business practice complaint with delta dental before they talked to me and even then they still didn't refund me what was clearly their fault. If you must go here for dental work, make sure to get in writing that all your dental work will be covered by insurance as you expect before they do it, even if it was covered the last time you visited.

You have to constantly call and check on everything yourself. They quoted me a price of $1200 for some work after insurance was billed, but I owed $2800. I specifically asked, because I had another costly procedure done in the same insurance calendar year and was going to put off the second procedure until the new insurance calendar year, but was specifically told I would only owe $1200, well $2800 is quite different than $1200.
