So, I have been going to Advanced Dentistry for almost 5 years now. Their location is about 45 min away from us but I had done some crucial homework when I was looking for doctors or dentists etc. And it is worth the drive! I became a patient when Dr. Ohmes was there but he has retired since and Dr. Cusumano and Dr. Dwyer. Have taken over the Business. I have to say I am very pleased with the quality of kindness, education and care the whole staff has for you. They are even awesome when it comes to kids! Whether it has been my newborn crying because they are hungry or wanting to run around they stop and take the time to understand and respect that life happens. The front staff love the babies!! :) From the friendly staff up front to the dental hygienists and to the doctors, you can tell they have a great foundation as a team and love their job. That matters to me because they are focused on YOU and not drama. You are like family to them, you feel that once you walk in the lobby. If you fear the dentist I have to say this may be your jam! Kindness, patience and understanding are what are needed to help many who have a fear of the dentist. They are all those things and more. They explain and educate you on your needs. Here you can expect the truth and what things will cost if it's outside of your insurance. No hidden agenda or greed. Just a professional and kind place to be to better your oral health. Kristy and Stephanie have been amazing in working through the challenges of insurance coverage. More importantly, they provide great patient care, from taking the time to explain the cause of the disorder to the steps of resolution. Their state of the art equipment far exceeds the resources others have in coming to better sleep.

We have gone through many office changes and never had an insurance issue or procedure issue until now. With a mishap with nitrous being given for a procedure when we signed for it NOT to be used because it makes my daughter sick and the office manager's unprofessional treatment with an insurance issue, we are done. I cannot trust that we will not have any further problems with insurance filing. She indicated that their providing insurance information is a courtesy, not part of their job. So when scheduling an appointment, it is my job to know when we can schedule to be covered, since it's our insurance, it's our job to know what's covered and how to schedule. This was all over a cleaning appointment for my daughter, which was two weeks too early for coverage. However, all they had to do was resubmit to insurance, as I asked for. Plus, when we schedule, we always ask to schedule when we are available according to insurance coverage. After calling to see ow to get this taken care of with the insurance, the office manager insisted I pay and asked 8 times during our phone call how I'd like to pay for the cleaning. She sent us text messages with a payment link, and then she put our accounts for the whole family under review so we could not make any appointment changes. When I called my insurance and asked why it wasn't paid, they said the office could ask for a resubmission or clarification. Also, they asked for codes I had no idea about. Since the office manager would not call and do a resubmission, I contacted our company's insurance agent for help. The insurance issued payment a week after this call with the office manager. Never in all my life have we ever been treated so rudely by an office/insurance person at any doctor's office.

This time she was fine and happy that she is missing a lot of her baby teeth. :) In my prior visits with other dentist you can get a few staff that is really good and the Dr. Is just ok. Straight to the point, the dental work would be so so, no jokes, no nothing. I don't like doctors at all!, I get really nervious and I need to laugh to relax a little. Boardwalk Family Dental have the whole package, latest technology, great service, fun and loving people!!! Everyone knows what they are doing, are very kind and have patience with my girls. Love the sense of humor!!!! When it was my turn to see the Dr. and the staff I didn't have to explain any of my jokes, so thats a plus! :) The only bad thing for me, is the distance. Had 2 molars prepped for crowns here. Was a little anxious having never had anything more than a…read morefilling done, but the staff took great care of me and there was no pain whatsoever. They took their time in crafting the temporary crowns, making sure they were comfortable and not touching when I bit down. The next morning my teeth feel like nothing has happened to them, a very positive experience overall. Looking forward to getting the permanent crowns put on in a few weeks so I can resume eating sticky or hard foods.

I made an appointment here after a change in insurance carrier by the corporation I work for. The…read morefirst visit was somewhat ok, but by the next visit, they were pushing me to have an extraction and bone graft for a future implant. The brought some guy in in scrubs and he proceeded to try and convince me as well. When I asked who he was, they said that they call him Frank. When I refused, the girl that does the insurance, maybe the office manager, told me that if I didn't have it done, they would notify the hospital where I had an upcoming procedure scheduled and tell the hospital that I had an infection, so I would not be able to have the procedure done. I went to two other dentists, and both of them said that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the tooth the wanted to extract. If you're looking for a dentist, I'd highly recommend that you look elsewhere! In my opinion , these folks are nothing but crooks and have absolutely no integrity! I should have known not to go to an old Hardee's that has been converted into a dentist office.

Twice in the last three years I have received both texts and emails reminding me of an up and coming appointment. After arriving I'm told I was not on their schedule. I was scheduled for an appointment on June 9th 2026 at 9:30AM. The week prior, a crown came off a back moler. I replied back to the reminder text regarding the issue. They immediately called and suggested I arrive at 9:00 rather than 9:30 in order for Dr. Fox to evaluate his repair. When I arrived this morning, I was told I was not on the schedule to be seen. The young lady gawked at the computer screen. Then looked up and said. "How about July 28th"? I explained my situation and she was clueless of what to do. After I said I'd go to another dentist, another young lady looked up and came to help MS Clueless. She was much brighter. She offered the next day June 10th at 9:00AM. I thanked her and asked her to schedule the appointment. Later in the day, I received both email and text reminders. The email came with an apology. Once Dr. Fox completes the repair, I'm not sure I'll ever return. I own my my own business and inefficieny is never allowed from my employees.

When I initially called, a very quiet, monotone, and not very cheerful person made my appointment. They made the potential fee for no-shows abundantly clear up to the appointment day. The lobby was nicely decorated and gave a calm impression. The same woman that initially took my call checked me in, still monotone and grumpy. The dental hygenist was the only great experience here. She was friendly and extremely thorough! Then I was told that the dentist was running late getting to the office. What about lateness and no-shows? Hmm In any case, the dentist showed up before too long. I found her to be standoffish and cold in my first impression. She checked my teeth and almost seemed put out about the potential work. She just got up and left afterward without saying a word to me. No, thank you for choosing her practice... no, nothing. Gee, I guess we are done here? I'm going to keep this very short and sweet…read more Dr. Meier knows what the hell he is doing, and he's very good at it. I've been seeing him for cleanings and the occasional cavity for over five years, and while going to the dentist sucks no matter what, he definitely makes it suck much less. He also actually told me that I "over brush"... I always thought the more brushing the better, but apparently my gums were taking a beating. Good to know! What I really am about to write about has been a long time coming, though. After four years of Dr. Meier telling me I seriously need to get all my wisdom teeth cut out (and me blowing him off repeatedly out of fear & procrastination,) I'm finally calling his office tomorrow to schedule that dreaded event for sometime in August. Thanks for never giving up on me Dr. Meier, and for all the years of fluoride treatments while wearing super cool sunglasses.
