Tonight we ordered ribs, pulled pork sandwich with baked beans, potatoes salad and a piece of cornbread. I had to try the bread since I haven't had a good piece of cornbread in a couple years.it did not disappoint, taste just like mine when I fix it. If you don't like sweet bread, you might wanna pass it up. My ribs were a little more tough than last couple times but still delicious and easy to chew right off the bone. Beans and potatoes salad is good but will admit , the potatoe salad is not my favorite. However this is my go to in the area for bbq so far. read more

Picked up some pulled pork, cornbread, coleslaw, and Mac n cheese and it was soooo good! The cornbread was warm and fresh, the bbq sauce on the side was great, the pork was a hit and so reasonably priced, I think it was like $17/lb? No inside seating just pickup/delivery. Came to Andrew's post EOS for a bbq sandwich. Order via uber eats. I was shocked to find that Andrew's is take - out only or catering. The pivot occured during the pandemic. The space is large, commercial smokers in the back. I ordered 1/2lb pulled pork sandwich. I really think it was closer to a lb, it was huge. I ordered this for delivery. It was delivered earlier than expected which is a plus. I order the rib meal for two with a side of baked beans and Mac & cheese. It came with 4 pieces of cornbread. It's a good price for what is included. Pros-food was still warm and packaged nicely- ribs were fairly decent, Mac & cheese was decent. Cons- 1) the ribs still had the membrane on them. I thought removing the membrane was BBQing 101. It's not fun to bite into. 2) Mac is similar to the kind from KFC. 3) beans had a few overcooked ones that were weird 4) bbq sauce had a little too much vinegar. 5) cornbread was rock hard around the edges. I honestly think the best thing from the order were the ribs and they were messed up by having the membrane still on. Otherwise, they would have been perfect IMO. read more

I had the ribs for my first visit and they were amazing! Can't wait to try the brisket. Don't listen to the spoiled little people who complain about the dumbest little things that have nothing to do with the quality of the food. Didn't know they are not a sit down restaurant? I was craving ribs and not having any luck due to a football game at all my nearby establishments. They came across this place on DoorDash and decided to give it a shot. I thought the ribs were delicious and had a nice flavor and so were the baked beans. Everything was packaged very well with plastic wrap as well as they stapled paper bag. So I ordered this food off of DoorDash and I must say it's package very well everything was nice and neat. I ordered the brisket, sandwich, macaroni and cheese and potato salad. The macaroni and cheese was a two but everything else I give a 4 star only because I felt like they should've cut some of the fat off the brisket. It was a lot of fat, but the sandwich was super big and super filling. I'll definitely order here again. Also, they need to package more napkins in the back that would help. They don't pack any napkins in the back besides the one that comes with the utensils and we're eating barbecue here so we definitely need napkins or wet naps. read more

It was just okay. A bit disappointed As there are serveral photos of thick cut brisket with a nice bark in the photos when I googled the place, unfortunately my brisket sandwich had no bark and was pre sauced. It was thick but was more chopped brisket then sliced, and chewy at parts. With somethin as amazing as brisket I don't see why they would soak it in sauce. I noticed in other photos in the past the sandwich didn't come sauced. Menu is set up weird, I'm from Kansas City, I'm used to having a menu option for two meats and a side or one meat and two sides etc. Unfortunately your only options are sandwich's or meat by the pound. Everything was excellent! Ordered a full rack of ribs special, and every component of the meal was top-notch! Portions were so large, me and my wife had a full meal worth of leftovers. The BBQ sauce is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. The BBQ beans have a delicious, smoky taste. The tater tots were golden and crispy (and there were TONS). The cornbread was soft, fluffy, yet still sturdy. And the star of the show, the ribs, were large and DELICIOUS!!! We got our meal delivered, and it arrived very quickly. It's a full-fledged kitchen sans the shutdown plaza it's in. No dining service it seemed, pick up only. We arrived with the intention to order in person to go but ordered from the parking lot in our car thanks to the giant letters on the door which read "order online". We killed time at the goodwill opposite and our meal was ready on time. We ordered the brisket 1lb and a brisket sandwich with 3 buns and a coleslaw. Delicious delicious! I stepped into this restaurant, caught a whiff of the smokey bbq and knew I was in the right place! The restaurant itself is fairly spacious, and the menu board is easy to read on the chalkboard. There is quite a lot to choose from, with various appetizers, sandwiches, sides, and smoked meats available. I opted for the pulled pork sandwich with green chile mac and cheese ($7.95). The sandwich was filled with a heaping pile of tender, smokey pulled pork, with a hearty portion of mac and cheese on the side. You have your choice of regular or hot bbq sauce. The "hot" bbq sauce, while enjoyable for its nice balance of sweet and tangy, didn't taste very spicy to me (More like a mild level of spiciness). The mac and cheese was decent. I could definitely taste the green chile mixed in with the cheese. Service was lightning fast and very friendly. Overall, a good experience. Glad to finally try this place. The aroma of barbecue will make your mouth water if you're hungry. The prices made me wonder why we hadn't come here sooner. Great combos and options that offer a sampling of more than one item on their menu. And did I mention cornbread?! Or for those that live dangerously, fried pickles. I got the slider combo of beef, pork, and chicken and it came with one side. I opted for corn bread. Good stuff and big portions too. I couldn't eat more than one slider. Let me start by saying I have not actually eat any of this company's food, so I cannot speak to that. Nor will I ever eat at their place, based on our experience. I am writing this review based solely their catering services and horrible customer service. I am a volunteer with the local Girl Scout council and we had a catering contract with Andrew's BBQ & Catering that was signed in January for the first weekend in April for an encampment weekend. Out of blue earlier this week, the company contacted us and told us we either needed to pay double what was agreed to for the cost or they could not help us. When we asked why the sudden change, we were told they did not win a summer contract with Girl Scouts therefore they would not do any work with us unless we paid a ton. This is honestly despicable. We cannot just come up with double the fees because a company decides to be petty and downright mean, because they did not get something. We had a signed contract with them and they broke it without a second thought and have left us scrambling to try and find a way to keep the camping weekend happening for the 100+ girls that were looking forward to it. As I said above, I will NEVER eat at this place nor do any business with them in the future and I wanted to make sure others were aware of their practices/policies so they do not fall prey as well. read more

Andrew's BBQ is the type of place that there is a rule in office if you go there for lunch you have to tell people who subscribe to special place list. It doesn't matter if people have eaten their lunch they will still put in an order so they can have BBQ for dinner. The ribs are meaty, moist and delicious. Every day they have special items like green chili pulled pork and hot links. Both items are good btw. The moist brisket is also really good, have never tried the dry. The brisket also comes with buns. For sides I have only tried the green chili mac and cheese. It wasn't that good but the meat is so good I'm willing to over look it. Even if it tasted fantastic I doubt I would get it anyways. My advice is since they will run out of meat get there early. read more

As you walk in, you can't help but love the smell of fresh BBQ. Visited with my daughter after seeing the place mentioned in an AZCentral article as a must have BBQ restaurant. After our visit, my daughter and I are hooked. We decided on the pulled pork (1/2#) which was enough for 2 sandwiches plus some left over. We also had the brisket (1/3#) which was cooked to perfection. Each order comes with a bun to create your own sandwich. We are the brisket without the bun and had two pulled pork sandwiches. They have three BBQ sauce choices on the tables to apply to the prepared meat. There is Andrew's BBQ, Spicy and a mustard based sauce. My daughter liked a mixture of the spicy and Andrews. I preferred the spicy alone. We are not mustard fans, but the taste of that one was good, just not our preference. We chose the corn bread and French fries as additional sides. The fries were the absolute best fries that either of us have eaten. As for the corn bread, I prefer mine more "crumbly", but it was moist and had an excellent taste. The environment is simple, but comfortable and the staff was courteous and polite. We will definitely be back when we are on that side of town. read more

I've always liked Andrew's BBQ, and ever since they closed down the one near me a while back, I've quietly missed them. Last night I finally made it to this location and it was awesome! I liked how this one's decorated. They have upside down BBQ grills hanging from the ceiling as light fixtures, plenty of tables and other decor that really seemed cute. I swear the menu was bigger then I remember! The girl at the register was really nice and helpful, and took our orders after answering all of our questions. I went with my usual, BBQ beef brisket with garlic mashed potatos as my side. My friend went with the bbq chicken sandwich with the mac and cheese. Both were tasty, and we had a really good time. Simple: this is a solid place to get BBQ, I like the brisket, pork and ribs. The cowboy and baked beans are both solid sides too. I can't give them 5 as I really prefer that heavy smoked flavor, but their hot BBQ sauce is just the right amount of spicy so it can be easily added. Note that they do a lot of catering. I love good barbecue! I have to make my own barbecue but it's still fun to go out and try a barbecue restaurant now and then. The most Important thing about barbecue is using hardwood to actually smoke the meet. Some places don't seem to know this concept and their meat has no smoke flavor at all. Not so here! As soon as you walk in the restaurant you can smell smoky goodness. I was recently in Houston and got to try some barbecue there and wanted to see how it compared to this place. I order the same thing I had in Houston which was a brisket and pulled pork.The brisket had a good bark to it and did not have a lot of fat in it like the one in Houston did. It was a tad dry but their wonderful barbecue sauce took care of that. My favorite was their original barbecue sauce with green Tabasco mixed in. I also ordered a side of coleslaw which was also pretty good. They also threw in some cold hamburger buns to go with the barbecue. Maybe they could try toasting it or how about Texas toast? You could tell it just came out of the refrigerator because of how cold it was. No bother as I don't eat bread very often anyway. I ordered three quarters of a pound of each so I did not leave hungry. If you like good barbecue and you are in the area I recommend stopping by this place. read more

OK, so knowing I was coming to Tempe for a few days, I posted in Tempe Talk to find a decent place to have some food. This was recommended by a local... Good call. I am Yelping it on my way down from Vegas, says they are opened on Sunday... they aren't. I added a tip for those of you who don't read this much. I ended up eating here on my second night in town. I enter at 5:15pm, I am the only one here. The girl behind the counter is incredibly friendly and helpful, the chef/cook, made eye contact, smiled, started working on my meal as soon as I ordered. That impressed me. My food arrived in break-neck speed. I ordered the BBQ Sampler (picture submitted) and everything looked good. Pulled Pork, Shredded Chicken, and Brisket all came in separate Styrofoam cups, cut of Corn Bread, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Cole Slaw, and 2 Beef Ribs... $14.95. WOW! This is a meal for 3! Starting with the least flavorful, the Chicken was kinda bland. I wasn't overly impressed, it was relatively tender, a touch on the dry side though... it relied on the BBQ sauce. Pulled Pork - This was pretty legitimate. Good flavor, tender, still a touch on the dry side. I would eat it again, but not incredibly confident in it's stand alone ability. Brisket - Nice! Tender, juicy, good flavor. The BBQ sauce complimented it, not made it. This was a good cut of meat, clearly slow smoked. I am a fan. I would highly recommend the Brisket if you are eating here! The sides- Slaw- a Vinegar based, good flavor, slight kick, but I enjoyed it. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes- Great flavor. Chives added on top, clearly home made. I really enjoyed these! The Corn Bread- Great flavor, not a boxed taste... Had some integrity to it. Would order it again. All in all, this is a good BBQ joint. I read a review before I entered that ripped this place and my thoughts are the guy has an axe to grind personally. It was not my experience that his thoughts reflected the food I ate. I will certainly be back, would recommend a friend to visit. There is a fair amount of dog decorations too... Kinda cool. Adds.. a certain friendliness.
